geez, have you ever heard of a file extension called pix. I have a cd with that extension used on it, but can't read it. I think it is used for both text and illastration (sp). Thank's

There are morer formats than you can shake a stick at (that's a technical term Harv /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif). I did some poking around, and the best summary of the most number of formats was in the help for Paint Shop Pro (at least the best I found). It doesn't really give the advantages and disadvantages so much as it indicates what the extensions mean, as well as the pixel depth of each of the types. I tried saving this into Word, but all I got was text plus special characters, so I saved it to a PNG image.
