Good Tractor Morning,
Punta Cana, 80 to start going to 84 with a possible early afternoon shower.

Billy, yes having a great time with the grand kids. They are also having a ball between swimming and playing on the beach.

I got up at 4 am this morning to put our towels out on our chairs and the old ladies beat me out there by 30 seconds, but I still got good seats.

I will be very spoiled by Nov19 th, when no one will be serving me breakfast anymore 😂

Hope all have a blessed day 🙏

Morning all!
38 going to a wet 53.
Took advantage of the nicer day yesterday and headed to the apartment house. Got the mower removed and the snow blower reattached. Everything is put away till spring. Trying a new parking area for the blower this year. No roof or walls just covered with a tarp. This is parked on the driveway instead of in the dirt 90 degrees wrong angle like prior years. Hopefully will be easier with less pin breakage! The old lean to it was under was rotten and had to be removed when we put in the new fence.

Spent a few hours after that pushing acorns off into the woods with my power broom. Did get two bags filled for the cousin's goats before I said screw it and just push them!

Nothing much done in the shop. Did get a few boxes of new wood in. Never heard of a few of them. Will make something and post later. I did get a spalted beech hollow form finished:

I guess that's it for now. Visitors coming for dinner later today so not sure what else will get done.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

good morning all
43 out climbing into 60's with light rain this afternoon.
Inside day for me, lot of laundry to do

have some bacon cooking on stove
really would like to try microwaving it; getting rid of bacon grease
is a pain.
of course in the old days, it was butter from your cow or bacon grease to cook in.

Phil that bowl is a gorgeous piece of art.

no slips and falls for you guys venturing out in the white stuff

finalized my last rv trip for week after next, down to visit older brother who lives outside of Middleburg VA.
Trying something different, plus turns out closer to him than staying out near 81.
a short trip, wanted to see him before the holidays.

Dennis, if BB decides he wants to stay at your house is he gonna get renamed, NB?
Neighbors we were shoo ting at said it came there as a stray. I said too pretty and friendly for a barn cat. It hasn’t been back over to see us.
Would get renamed if it comes back.

Good Morning
45 and overcast, high near 60 and rain likely later.

Yesterday I won my fight with the Mesh by a decision. I could not get the outdoor nodes to reliably stay connected with a wired backhaul, but the work fine with a wireless backhaul, which provides plenty of bandwidth for my application. So until I run out of projects to take up my time, it’s gonna stay wireless. Makes no sense, but I’ll take the win, even if it’s by decision.

I did get to the hangar and made significant progress on the little plane. Brought home a couple of small projects that I will attend to this morning, and then go back to the hangar.

Not much else planned, supposed to go to Palm Beach tomorrow and again on Tuesday, not sure how the ATC delays will impact us. I’ll have to do a little homework to see what’s up.

As I was typing this, a dense fog rolled in, visibility is about 100 feet.

Good morning tbn folks! One thermometer says its 9 here at camp Covington this morning while another says its 20. We are now thinking that lower thermometer is off since another and noaa says its 20. Got some snow overnight but not enough to write home about. Sun is now poking over the top of those snow covered pine trees. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday.

Morning all, 51 going to 63 and foggy, had a light rain yesterday, might be a bit more today.
Good having the kid home for a few days.

Got some more splitting done and stacked, another pile for the neighbor too.
Still need to aerate grass areas and rearrange garage for winter. It's been so warm that many of our flowers in pots are still around.
Still need to move the tractor plow to a better area.

Have to wait to move some of the garage around until leaves are dried out though.

Not sure what we will be up to today. We walked the dog at Peddlars yesterday, so she is in lazy mode now.

Be well,

3 big rounds quartered in vertical mode, then split in horizontal mode.

And off to the racks.

something strange happened last night.
at five minutes past midnight, my doorbell rings
and rings.
I get up, get shorts on, grab a high powered light to shine in some bad
guy's eyes and slowly open the door.
No one
door bell rings again
really???
so I push the button, it gives one last ring
and then shuts up.
geez, not that old maybe some dirt jammed it up like a stuck
keyboard key.
ghosts of Christmas past?

it's an rf device, wonder if something fooled it

69°F and no rain 76% chance today

Had a really good mowing session for a few hours until I broke the mower. Not mower itself but the Shear Bolt Torque Limiter. Not usually a concern in the past, but this time it came completely apart losing the bearing inside. In the past, simply insert a 3/8 bolt and continue. Not this time, smaller, M8 shear bolt. Found a grade 5, but all thread. Lasted less than 100 ft. Suspect not having any bearings was a factor. End of mowing a couple hours shy of having that area done. Considered going to town and looking for better bolt but likely a waste of time. Will be calling Betstco first thing Monday

Probably a football watching day as it’s getting more overcast as I type.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

on this day a few years back I had the leaf blower over at a friend's farm and was helping him with his leaves.

Just finished a solid 2 days’ work with a rig not too dissimilar to that, starting a lunch time Friday and finishing at lunch time today (Sunday). I’ll try to remember to post a photo of my rig when I go back outside to take it apart after my lunch break.
