I forgot to say I finished the Undaunted Courage book quite some time ago. Meriwether Lewis had a rather rough end to his life. I would think modern day doctors would ascribe him with multiple maladies mental and physical. I don't want to give away any more, if others are going to read it. Very well worth reading. Hard to imagine the toughness of their expedition. Words don't do the suffering justice. Starvation, sickness, Indians, bears....

I have also read Stephen Ambrose' book on WWII. Also a very good read.

Now reading his book called Citizen Soldier about D-day and the war to Germany. I remember my grandfather (who fought to liberate the Battle of the Bulge guys) telling me that he had read "every Stephen Ambrose book"....he told me maybe 20 years ago.

Wow busy group here. Took me a bit to catch up. Went to Menards today, ordered the lumber for finishing out my pole barn. I am scheduling the deliveries, as I don’t want all the material here at once. Talked to mom, they are doing well. Weather here is usual, cold, warm, wet, constantly changing.

Good evening all. 49F for the start, temps still dropping, overcast and windy. Low temp 48F, windy day with gut close to 30 mph (white caps on lake), partial clearing late and high temp 56F. Cleaning lady prep, then POA board recap meeting, VFD looking starting an ESD for revenue, they can cover operating cost currently but only 4-5 guy cover most call and no money for replacing aging equipment. Short bike ride. nap, Scooter walk, and trip to town for groceries and dinner.
Getting stink eye from wife and dog, will try to catch up tomorrow.

34 right now...the temperature will drop to 30-31 as today's high.

Really crappy drive home yesterday...we got 3-4 inches (or a bit more) and it was quite slick. I love watching the snow...but I really dislike driving in it anymore. Anyway, cleared the drive and walks when I got home. We got a bit more snow during and after the clearing....not much accumulation though

Good morning, temp here is 9°F and headed for a high of 14. Wind NNW 13 gusting to 20 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

That storm didn't amount to much. At 2 P.M. we had about 4" and it snowed some more overnight. I am going to guess we got about 6" in total. I will go out about 9 A.M. and deal with it.

Got my free seat covers from the dealer. Might install them today if the garage is not too cold.
