thanks Bill
I docked my 51 foot Bertram in 22 different marinas going down to Florida on the Intercoastal and never scratched the boat. Wacked the dock embarrassingly hard in Charleston when the doofus dock attendant waved me in to a slip, on the main flowing river there, with the current, not against it. Then you learn what trying to stop/brake a boat against 3 knot current while trying to parallel park between million dollar boats Heart thumping and boy did that dock thump when I hit it, perfectly flat too, left a skid mark down my side for 20 feet. That took me forever to proverbially polish out...
problem was no room to spin around.
sure would have been easier if tide was going out.
so the rv is much easier. I can stop and redo and the road is not moving under me.
gets down to positional awareness with my cues coming from known objects.
I haven't hit that mailbox yet and have no idea how close I have gotten.
if I had a decent all around camera system, this would be so much easier.
If I were keeping this rv I would add one.
Ron, sounds like a perfect fix, thanks
with just me I can be my own "gauge" pretty well
