Good morning!!!!

Thanks, Ted, I'd thought about doing it that way, but in this case, each pipe is either 10' or 12' long, and would need to be driven into the concrete 5'. But the biggest concern is that the rails being supported require fairly accurate positioning of the posts, both laterally and vertically. I can fudge the vertical by leaving the posts long and "adjusting" them with a power band saw once the concrete sets, but if they're off laterally, the rails won't run straight. So I was hoping to get all six of them set before pouring any concrete, using strings strung between stakes to ensure that they are all in the correct position.

I also gave some thought to an initial pour of concrete to pre-set the height, with a couple pieces of rebar left sticking up to tie them into the rest of the pour. Just not sure how to reach down into that hole 5' to place the rebar.:confused2:

How far apart are your poles going to be?
Are they in a straight line?
Possibly drive a t post past one then another t post 10 to 20 feet away,
wire a piece of pipe or angle to the t posts secure your posts to that pipe,
getting them square and level ?

Not sure I quite understand, but it sorta sounds like stretching a fence.

It's a two row x three column grid, 7.5' x 36' in size.

good morning all. Warm cloudy day, high of 70, big system moving in tonight with lots of rain.
Headed out when sun comes up to Apex, other side of Raleigh to rv dealer to get my awning fixed, I hope.
Not leaving in dark again, that's when I didn't see the lowered tree limb that is causing this trip to begin with.
No more big crashes in the dark...

If they have time, got a pair of 16" long LED brake/turn light strips, having them install them above existing turn signals for better safety. First I have to stop downtown and fill up with diesel, this time I have rag out to hold nozzle, avoid the inevitable getting slimed.

Feeling good this morning and all is well with the world.
Hope you all have a nice day and careful in the snow Ted.
Good news Hawkeye, happy wife, happy husband...
