Even worse the AHs trying to make it political and racist.

things like this should bring out the best in us.
that remains to be seen.

I read four news sources a day, some days I wonder who is the most creative in the
absurd click bait headlines.
there is one guy that will likely get a medal of honor, some chopper frogman who helped
personally to haul off more than a hundred people. There was lots of heroism shown, focus on that.
and let these families grieve; can you imagine how many shyster lawyers are on the phone down there?

found replacement rubber croc straps on amazon, two for ten bucks, amazon day, decided that made sense.
meanwhile I'm going to super glue this rubber and see what kind of a tug it will handle.

found a few things on amazon sale that had value and treated myself to a new Bose noise cancelling headset for under 200 bucks.
plus a few rv consumables on sale, Mr Bezos didn't earn too much off me today.

turned the rv fridge back on, it still didn't smell right inside despite repeated cleaning. Smelled like butter, which I knew got on a few spots.
well it wasn't the butter. After pulling the bottom drawers out, there was a single slice of cheese in the plastic wrapper, which had slid down behind the drawer. And sat in there during all this hot weather, getting a bit ripe for sure.
brought fridge drawers inside and sanitized them. Ran a/c and gen and did a little clean up inside.
tomorrow I will pack.

put covers back on cushions in case of incoming rain tonight, another front coming through
it would be fun to graph the expected rainfall amount predicted every fifteen minutes. That graph would be hopping around as the computer
models keep adjusting
we went from flood and get out the paddles to .29 precip yesterday.

how many of you still listen to AM radio in your car?
I never listen to talk radio so with a subscription to Sirius XM, loss of AM would not affect me at all.
plus the fidelity is poor

perhaps this is some emergency alerting issue
if they send an alert out on AM, and I have it tuned to XM,
will I even hear it?
would be nice if alert overrode everything else like on your phone.

almost as much fun as sitting in a fireman's banquet and having every instalert beeper go off for
an active call. Those early alerters usually worked well to alert but apparently out in the country needed a decent signal to talk.
so it goes off and the device on your hip starts talking to you, to give you the location, and will til until you reset it.
but if you are trying to drive to the fire location and your beeper is going ibbidda bibbida squawk, didn't know where to go.

not many cell phones back then, and for sure no internet. That motorola pager was usually all you had.
if that whole infrastructure went down, we'd be back to the stone age.
let's see, better stock two campbell tomato soup cans and a nice ball of string.
I'll be ready.

Some of the better tractor radios have the weather band in them and would break in over the FM if an alert was issued.
And I have seen other AM/FM radios with Weather Band alerts.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.4C and it's presently 12.4C, mostly cloudy & calm. There was 0.4mm in the gauge @0900.

Well, I checked whilst observing my rain gauge that the horses are no longer in Paddock #4 so that transfer has been done. So, either this arvo or tomorrow I'll get in some 'tractor fun' doing a bit of chain-harrowing.

Nothing else planned. :)

That's about it, take care all.
