Good morning!!!!

50 outside right now, heading to mid 70's. Windy....very windy. Hope it dies down a lot so I can torch another burn pile today. I managed to get some more rotten rounds down to the back pile yesterday before I petered out. I think I can finally finish moving and collecting the remainder of the rounds and branches to the back, today. I have one big round that will have to be chain sawed in half just to get the tractor to hold it. It is rotted too. Then I can start splitting....again. This has been overwhelming at times. Not enough of me to take care of it in a day or so. Me thinks I have at least five eight hour days into it already. Then the days where it was one load and done. LOL.

Scott, at least the view for your neighbor is awesome. Some serious thinking time cutting that. I will have to look at the articulating weed whackers.

Ken, I agree it is a distance. And summer is not yet here. That's when I break out the RTV with water, fuel and string and park it strategically for a rest stop. It's an OK walk, but the work involved is a little repetitious.

Hope all have a good start to the Sunday. Be safe.

good morning, 48 going to 66 with some wind gusting

Was going to mow yesterday but too wet in the morning and too windy in the PM. Today we will see if the wind will settle down

Did some more exploration in the barn and found a sturdy set work bench metal leg frames and metal shelf that matches the length of the maple work top so all I need is bolt it together. Could be used for the welding equipment although may still look into a cart similar to the Miller cart for the smaller MIG. Needs to accommodate the bigger MIG, plasma machine, and stick welder. May have to get another shielding gas bottle although the one on the smaller MIG cart will do for now.

Work continued on the welding shop. Was able to retain a 16 ft elevated section of the heavy feeding trough to use for lengths of steel storage. Also was able to incorporate a large feeding bin built into the wall to use for tools and equipment storage.

D is going for her MRI this morning. Hope to find out what is the causing the knee problems. GD FaceTime call this afternoon about college plans

Good Morning,
Ct, 40 to start going to 54 with increasing wind. Up early because we have 2 grands staying over, trying to make breakfast for everyone before I went to church , so it was pretty busy. 😉

We will probably take the kids to a park later, was hoping to cut the grass but it’s still wet from yesterdays rain and thunderstorms last night. Much cooler today than yesterday.

That’s about it for now 😉😃

Good Morning,
How long will the drum of diesel last you?
Mostly the drum would probably last me 2 years if we didn’t fill it. I use the most diesel fuel during bush hog season.
Didn't drive my truck today...it's on probation.
Good one Billy 😂

Hope all have a blessed day 🙏

Good Morning Mike,
Scott, at least the view for your neighbor is awesome. Some serious thinking time cutting that. I will have to look at the articulating weed whackers.
Yes, lots of time to ponder mowing all of that with a 4 ft cutter 😉
I really don’t think there is a bad view from our perch on the mountain.

Sorry, I’m not trying to spend your money for you 😂 on another tractor implement 😉

Sigarms, beautiful shot , thanks 🙏

Morning all, 53 going to 65 and cloudy/windy.
Too much wind to go into the woods with the brushcutter , oh well. Need to find something else to do, getting hit with Ash parts is not on my schedule. Maybe trim back some bushes along the driveway that are drooping.

Picked up the son and friend at 1 am , back from school trip. Friend lives across the street so that was easy. He had a great time, but was overloaded by day after day at the park. Of course there were a number of other students having emotional outbreaks etc. But all in they ran a pretty good trip.

Did a run to HF and got a tarp, a bag to store the new 1/2" impact some straps and tools for the new truck. Nothing big.

Feel better Mostly!

be well,

too much wind for me too....go to rv, it wasn't that dirty, quarter inch of rain had washed most of pollen off and it looked ok.
but the wind was howling and the idea of spraying water in that made it feel colder out. So I passed. Had coffee and a bun at my friend's home
nearby, delivered my pots of tomatoes and came home in increasing traffic.

now waiting til noon to start mowing/trimming. Though cordless weedeater so quiet I might use that first.
very old church down the street and have always thought Sunday morning was a quiet time. For many reasons.
Of course if I had a synagogue nearby I'd think the same on Saturday.

off to weedeat, push the cordless trimmer and then mow the lawn.
should be a comfy ride with that little bit of rain softening the ground a little.
and then maybe wash the truck. Just need to pace myself.

I spoke with Ted, Dona is hanging in there, continuing to do her best and pretty depressed by
her brother dying. Not quite in the mood for crocheting.
Better days ahead.

haven't shaved in a couple days so I'm just a little facial velcro pad for the pollen in the air.
when I come in headed straight for shower to wash it all off me.

Today is shad fest in town.
Very few people actually eat these (very large )fish, but they are here and were a good sign that the river was getting cleaner.
Been a yearly tradition for 42 years.
Wife and her friends are there today.

Shad:
They are an anadromous fish, which means they are born in freshwater, like the Delaware River, live for several years in the ocean and return to the river in which they were born to spawn (lay their eggs).

68°f and no rain

Good vet visit. The boys are healthy and up to date with their shots. Town was jam packed with folks for the Merrie Monarch parade, our major celebration of the year. Perfect wx for it as well.

Likely a stay at home and relax day. Might give in and mow the dogs area though.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

now a shower and shave to get all the pollen off me and a quiet afternoon.
I will not be venturing down to Shad Fest.
oily bony fish are not high on my dining desires
