good morning
looks like the start of a couple of very nice low 80's days.
49 out now, sun coming up before 6am is sure nice, more day to enjoy.

Don, glad they did a nice job on your fireplace. Safer now too.
Phil, sorry about your BIL, hope some improvement
Thomas, get the right size rods! ;)

Anzac Day a big deal to Australia and New Zealand, like our Memorial Day.

Anzac Day, observed on April 25th in Australia and New Zealand, commemorates the landing of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) on the Gallipoli Peninsula during World War I in 1915. It's a day of remembrance for all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations

Good Morning,
Ct, 48 to start going to low 70’s. Clear skies this morning, looks to be a beautiful day, but last night did not do well in the sleep department 😒 Buppies, now I know how you feel, at least getting little to no sleep.

I will probably go for a quick walk this morning and then head north. Need to at least get the oil and filter changed on my Z Turn and the same on the Massey. Probably grease everything also. And I should probably change the oil in the injector pump.

Well Dennis, it appears that neither one of us is at the end of the rainbow yet 😂 Although I could use the pot of gold if I could find it 😉.

Well,, maybe we will have a nice sunset for me to post tonite, I can only hope. 🙏

Phil, beautiful bowl, love the figure of the Spaulting.

Have a Great Day 🙏

Good Morning
47° with a high in the upper 70’s under a bright sky today.

Yesterday found plenty to keep me busy. I did a flight review for a friend first thing in the morning, then some major decluttering in the shop, transforming the center bay into today’s lunch buffet for the shearing crew, which should be about 15 people.

Put the grapple back on and cleaned up the last of the brush from the most recent wind damage.

Got the shaft cut apart for the neighbor’s manure spreader, (the same one I made the axle for last month.)

Went to the stone yard and got some river rock to calm the flow from the old folks home downspouts, then I got a call from a new “junior member” of the RC club asking if I could do his evaluation at the flying field so that he could fly without supervision. The field is only 10 minutes away so I ran over and watched him fly, he did really well.

Got back and did some more clean up for today’s lunch buffet, now I’ve got to start cooking and setup the tables and chairs. Not much else planned.

while Popgadget is getting his alpacas sheared today,
an alpaca zoo in NJ is downwind of the current forest fire.
I was looking for location of fire and out popped the alpaca zoo on several layers.

I owe most of my current damaged skin condition to spending childhood time on the
beaches at Island Beach State Park. All the way down was the free state park beach and the several times a year we got away as kids that's where
my Mother took us. Father wanted no part of beach, he wanted to be in his garden when not working. This would be during the week in the summer,
riding in back of Mother's Chevy station wagon with windows down, no a/c then. I just remember coming home tired, sunburned and itchy.
but the waves were worth it

thankfully that fire really is in remote forest, and I see a river nearby where they can get water.

good morning, 54 going 77 lovely day

Yesterday was lovely also. Nice time of year everything greening up.

Went down to the little barn in a small town converted to restaurant. It is themed with Ag and tractor signs on the walls. Got the Rueben sandwich which is always good

Spent some time on the balcony enjoying the weather. Wife is not able to get up the stairs any more for the upstairs balconies so this being a walk out she really enjoys that and watching the sunset

The rebuild of the balconies has held up really well for almost 15 years with no maintenance required

Mowed for a few hours with the ZT mainly on the Southeast side of the property. Redbuds still looking pretty but may not last much longer

Went to get some fittings from HD and hooked up the outside sink with water and drain ready for the summer

This must be the week for fish dinner with Catfish, Salmon and Orange Roughy on the menu. While in town picked up some more Ghee butter to help increase the cooking temp without burning

Morning all, 49 going up to 82 and sunny
Worked late, still doing college paperwork with wife.
Did take new truck for a short drive.
Also sat on the deck for a bit, just enjoying the warmth.

Need to get out back and knock down some of the brush that's coming back. We are expecting rain this weekend, good as it's getting dry again. Still need to light the left over wood in the fire pit.

Hopefully we get more aid from the college, very expensive stuff.

Be well,
