Good morning!!!!

Good Morning,
Vt, 48 to start going to 68. Muted sun but it’s not raining so we can get some work done.

Youngest son asked me if there were any good boards left from the deck project. I do have some decent boards that I will cut in 6 ft lengths and bring home so he can build a tree house for my grandson.

My friend who I call Uncle Dave up the road from me got my tractor diesel drum filled so good for the summer mowing season and beyond. When I delivered on Wednesday the wholesale price at the terminal was $2.14, up here in Vermont they charged him $3.56 per gallon. Somebody gets to pay those trucking costs. 😉

Better get going, lots to do. Still need to put the bush hog on the tractor along with a host of other stuff.

Drew, you are planting up a storm down there, you definitely have a green thumb. 😉

Dennis, quite a project at your Pops farm, hopefully no major screw ups.

Hope all have a good day 🙏

57 outside this AM, heading to mid 70's. Rain expected late this afternoon. Drought conditions again. Funny, I still have standing water in spots in the pastures.

Not moving very fast these past few days, still not 100 percent. Took the weed whacker and push mowers out for the first time yesterday. Push mower started first pull, as did the weed whacker! Both wore me out, and there is still more to do. Maybe today before the rain. Two day job with grass care has turned into five days and counting. Sigh....

Late start this AM, hope all have a good weekend. Be safe.

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! 56° going to a high of 79° cloudy and hazy.

Major News has been a major wildfire breaking out on the mountains nearby, a little further southwest from me, but I can clearly see the origin of the smoke. 1000 acres already and 0% contained. I imagine there's going to be some relieved smiles if the rain arrives to help tamp down the fire.

On the homestead: Grass got mowed, weeds got picked up, still need to get the stump ground and the tree taken down. After putting the bug in Dad's ear again, I think the stump's days are numbered.

Golf was postponed, young children projectile vomiting tend to not be welcome at schools, so Boss had to scoop his up and spend the rest of the evening cleaning his car instead of hitting a golf ball. Might go to the range after work just to unwind and relax.

Otherwise, week went well. Just keep everything humming along. This weekend either the stump or the tree will get it, depending on weather and availability of equipment. Then Tanbark will march on.

All, Stay safe out there and enjoy the weekend!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

Morning all, 58 going to 80 and cloudy.
Spent an hour doing weed whacking around front, did some in the back area, but really need the brush cutter for that.

Dog had another seizure late last night, really scary. Stayed up and held her. She seems fine now, just tired.

tomato plants arrived and one pepper plant. Will need to put them in and plant my own starters this weekend.

Son seems to be having fun on class trip to Disneyworld. He is back Saturday.

Hope RNG got his price on the old house.

Be well,

Got everything cleaned up and back to normal configuration, trash and recycling down to the street, watered the new arborvitae, even ran the Lazer around the fence lines before going down to the pond to see grandsons radio controlled dinosaur swim around.

By the time I sat down my feet were tired and ready for me to be off of them.

Today I will be heading out with the dump trailer to get a load of mulch shortly. I’d like to plant some grass seed before tonight’s rain, looks like music tonight, but with different players.

good morning, 62 going to 75

We deal with occasional seizures for Cody also. Very scary for sure

May mow some more grass today. Trying to get ahead of it this year.

good talk with neighbor yesterday. He likes our tree plantings along the property line and it is inspiring him to start clean up of an overgrown area and continue the line of trees on his property. Offered to help with the excavator. When I cleaned up overgrown areas found out that the excavator was the right tool for the job

10:30ish
At 50F all day with cloud and piddly rain all day.
House keeping and cooking day I guess.
Even though it's not so nice I'm going to sit on the front stope and have a tea now.
This has been such a non week. Hopefully next week picks up.
Maybe pet a wet pus-y if the neighbor's comes over for treats.

Good morning, the low is 42 and going to a high of 50°F Wind ENE 7 gusting to 17 mph. Mostly cloudy.

Not much on the books for today, so I'll conserve energy.

BEF, which side of the cut the logs go on depends on your perspective. Standing face to face your right is my left. :)

Have a safe day all
They were told the east side, that doesn’t change.

BEF, I guess they don't know the points of the compass. Maybe put up a post with a sign on it that points North, then maybe they can figure out where East is.
They just don't care. In any case, we got a lot of logs to do something with. Dad doesn't burn wood any more, he's just not able to manage the stairs to get to the basement. They got a brush pile burning today.
I posted some more pics of todays equipment going in and out in my farm thread: Life on the farm

68°F and still no rain

Good day yesterday. Good my X-rays in short order, almost no wait.

Minimal impact of the road paving. Well except 1 neighbor who was upset she didn’t get the word and some of the vehicles were parked on her property.
From what I saw, looks quite nice.

Oil cooler to be delivered today.

Just gonna piddle about.

For all you truck lovers. Found this interesting

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 15.9C and it's presently dipped down to 14.6C [heading to 20C], mostly cloudy & calm.

Yesterday, after the 1100 ANZAC Day wreath laying ceremony, it was home for a wee bit of lunch. I then loaded up the ute with all of election stuff/signage. This was followed by some tractor fun = chain-harrowed Paddock #5 as the recent rain had 'moistened' the manure to a perfect spreadable consistency.

So, with the exception of tomorrow, Sunday, there's a week's worth of pre-poll and then the actual polling day next Saturday. I don't know how available on TBN I'll be during this coming week starting Monday.

I'm off to set up for today's pre-poll in about a half hour. I'll have some assistance later on.

I'll be glad when this is over... thankfully elections here in Aus only run for 5-6 weeks.

That's about it, take care all.

Evening all!
Quick fly by.
Wife got called into the dentist this afternoon. They got one of the regular patients to switch out their scheduled visit. Wife has a new temp tooth and 3 weeks for a permanent to come in.
Spent the morning on the back concrete pad. I can't figure out why this gets so dirty every year!

Good Evening,
Took Holly dinner last night she ate some she will just not eat the food there.
Buppies, I remember my parents telling me that when they went to the senior center the vegetables were horrible. They called them Gemusely, fictional word but probably derived from the German word Gemuse which means vegetables. 😉 They were always over cooked and terrible. 😉
grandsons radio controlled dinosaur swim around.
Paul, nothing like a radio controlled dinosaur swimming in your pond 😉

Have a good evening. 🙏
