Paul, I was curious about those change gears on your lathe the other day. Were you trying to get a specific thread size on the lathe that you couldn’t get with the gears that you had ? Glad they had the gear that you needed !
On my lathe (Jet GHB 1340a) there are 3 possible gear setups for cutting threads. One does most imperial pitches, one does the remaining imperial pitches, and the last is for metric threads. Levers select the pitches within each gear setup.

Got a press here that still uses low and high stage hand pumps, and the handles stick out at just the right height to murder knee caps. It's ripe for conversion, but I'm very interested to see how you mounted the bottle jack. Did yours come with a foot control?

Is the cylinder separate from the pump and connected by a hose, or is it basically a bottle jack?
If it’s separate, you’ve got lots of options. I just hooked up an electric hydraulic power pack to mine. It has a foot switch, and works great. I had originally replaced the hand pump with a pneumatic powered pump, but like the electric much better.

After my trouble looking below my engine yesterday, looking for a good endoscope, that has it's own monitor that can record. Don't want one to connect to phone. Any recommendations?

I have this one, and am very pleased with it.

How do states come up with these weird laws?
Do the people that write them live only in town houses?

Time to get creative with how to make the piles burn fast/hot so they finish in the time allotted

I had a couple large sheds to demolish, I asked the local VFD if they wanted to make a drill out of it. The chief said that they couldn’t burn buildings any more due to insurance requirements. I told him that I would burn them myself, to which he pointed out that while I was allowed to burn, there was a township ordinance against burning structures. I asked for a suggestion about how I should proceed. He said to start them burning very early in the morning, so by the time they might catch someone’s attention, they wouldn’t be structures any more, just a trash fire. That’s my kind of bureaucrat!

Hi, Don, maybe your 2 ships “passed in the night”! Anyway, I just checked and Michelle’s ship is now docked back in

P.S. The new knee is healing up nicely, and I just confirmed in a meeting with the surgeon yesterday that my surgery for the second knee on April 2 is still a “go“. How is your knee coming along, Don?
The knee is good did a bunch of stairs on the ship - we were on the 9th floor, food was on 11th and 5th floor.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 30° with partly cloudy skies this morning, Heading to 46° with SW winds. Yesterday was a good day to do some work in barn. Put a receiver hitch front of Mule. I have a way to pull Mule out from front if it gets stuck. NASCAR race was entertaining. Today I will start a project so I can use the Log Tongs on tractors. Its been hanging in barn since I got my Kubota. Had no boom pole off back of tractor. Will start work on make one that will work. Need to go around my 4 buildings and make sure melting snow has a place to drain.

I have in the past with fish caught from a friend's pond. There seem to be plenty of bass in there judging by the last time I fished. Just trying now to give it a boost after years of neglect with some bait fish, then fertilization.

25 going to 59 and sunny.

Kyle, hope you kids are getting well. Cool ice...never seen that. I use AI nearly every day, but have found it is only about 70% accurate...sometimes glaring errors...usually with coaxing it will come to the right answer...but it is extremely helpful on some matters.

Don, sounds like great trip and a big ship.

Had a great time hiking up Bird Knob to Emerald Pond with my son and our dogs yesterday. Great trail in the George Washington National Forest with a lot of snow remaining. Emerald Pond is near the top and is a spring-fed crystal-clear pond. Della went for a swim. Picked up fried chicken and fixin's at the Ice House on the way home so my wife wouldn't have to cook while babysitting Isabel. Bought 18 gallons of gas at $2.61 since Sheetz gave me a .50/gal incentive to "come back." I hadn't bought gas there in a long time, I guess.

Good Morning from Central Texas.

About 5am, 36.3 degrees with 36.0 dew point. BIG TIME fog. Hopefully, it lifts some before the American Legion meeting this morning. The forecast says sunny later and 71 degrees today with mostly 70's all week.
This is triggering my "late winter / early spring" tasks. Pre-emergent in yard areas, white bass fishing, shrub / tree trimming plus the 1000 other items on my to-do list.

Wishing all a great day !

Good morning TBN!!
26 this morning and expecting 60+ and sunny sky.
Mostly a conserve energy day yesterday. I did get my buggy out of the garage so I have room to work. I'll get it back in in the next couple of weeks.
Puttered around with some general clean up NASCAR, and solitaire balanced out the day.
Not sure what I will get in to today. Probably more of the same.

Second cup is calling.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Coffee maker to be descaled today and some kitchen clean up
Trash can to be brought up for pick up.

Good Morning,
Ct, 26 to start going to 44 ! Partly cloudy today, looks like it’s mostly cloudy now, but hoping for more sun later ! I’m really Ok with the 40’s temps after what we have had over the last couple of weeks!

This morning I have to take Kathleen’s Honda CRV in for service, 9 am appointment!

The parts list showed a part number and a 48t gear, but Jet showed that part number as a 42t
Paul, I looked at that lathe, looks like a beautiful unit ! I could have fun with that !
Bought 18 gallons of gas at $2.61 since Sheetz gave me a .50/gal incentive to "come back." I hadn't bought gas there in a long time, I guess.
Billy, wow on those gas prices ! Best price I have seen here is about $2.84 ! Nice incentive to come back also ! Beautiful pictures from your hike , beautiful area ! 🙏 Today I won’t get my daily walk in until late morning after I get back from the Honda dealer !

Not too much on the agenda after that, maybe look into some more basement cleanup ! Lots of junk down there that needs to go !

Ron, beautiful shot of a Cardinal the other day, one of our favorite birds !

Hope all have a good start to their week ! 🙏
