good morning, 24 going to 37 and getting colder tonight

Finished the brake job on the van. Working better than new. The combination of ceramic brake pads and changing the vacuum pump worked like magic. The diesel engine does not have vacuum from the engine to power the brake booster so has an engine driven vacuum pump to perform that function

I bought my wife a wine Advent calendar...it was delivered over a month ago. I've been tempting her to at least open one door to see the bottle inside, but she's been patient...Betting she'll open it first thing this morning while I make her a pour over. Nicely decorated box with 24 small bottles...extravagant, but she deserves it.

PJ, glad Samuel is walking! He looks proud and happy about it.

Buppies, hope things will get better so you can get a dog. Saw a 6 month old Golden on the trail yesterday...ball of energy...also saw a Staffordshire/Great Pyrenees mix...seemed like its head was as big as an elephant. Della went swimming while the air temp was 34...loving it...I got cold just from her shaking off on me.

Son and wife and cat left last night for NY...waited until the traffic jam near Fredericksburg cleared. Was nice having them here for a few days.

masseyrider, you are down in the 'neck of the woods' where the family farm was. A Century farm just outside of Caistor Centre.

I'm in peach country about 45 minutes away.
Caistor Centre would be above the escarpment in cattle/grain country.
Close but really different.

Well we're sitting at 25 @ 7am. If we get lucky we might hit 32. Sun cloud mix, really slight risk of early snow.
Last night we received a very minor sprinkle.
Good day for a fire and feet up.
Play nice. Santa is confirming his lists.

23F partly cloudy day low 30's for high,breeze has nip to it this morning.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...plow for the pickup try clean dirt etc. from light lens for better vision,also redrill holes for 2 legs so the retract upwards more...check game cams...maybe trip to town for goodies...watch some football.

Good day to be in the woods, hope that happens.

PO just delivered my Milk House bathroom barn door style frame. Will repurpose an old farm door for this. Got a message that it could not be delivered yesterday due to an inaccessible driveway or front door. More like they ran out of time and gave up, cause it is sitting by the front door looking at me and I can see all the way down the driveway to the road. LOL.

wngsprd, traffic was pretty bad in the Fredericksburg area yesterday. It sort of always is, but not hours bad. And VDOT has added lots more lanes in the area, it is still a choke point between DC and Richmond.

Fired up the wood stove last night for the first time. Nice and toasty last night, will do it again this afternoon and watch some football with not my dog and some Pilsners.

Good Morning,
Vt, 20 to start going to 28 ! The skies are more clear today but we did get a light coverage of snow last night !

The wood stove is humming along nicely ! We have to head south today and can’t stay to late because we need to stop in to some friends for a visit ! It’s my good friend Steve from the FD and he says that he has a bottle of bourbon for me as a belated birthday present !

Started folding Kathleen’s cards this morning ! This years theme are life guard stations that she photographed from Anna Maria Island, Florida earlier this year !

Paul, good to see Samuel up on the new prosthetic!
