I wish Koni made FSD shocks for my car. They did for the motorhome, so put them on.
Car really needs it, rides too firmly for me on these bumpy back roads.
stock is the typical Sachs shock, upgrade is Bilstein. But nothing for a softer ride.

Good Morning
26°, high in the low 30’s today under a clear sky.

Yesterday, I did manage to check a few barn chores off the list, but it was definitely an energy conservation day. Picked up some rock wool at Lowe’s and buried the exposed water lines in it, I had already encased them in spray foam, and they were only out in the open for about 15”, so I’m comfortable that they will not be an issue, especially with the hot water recirculating and the two PEX lines tywrapped together.

Made meatloaf and wrapped up single servings in foil and froze them. Had a turkey, stuffing and cranberry relish sandwich on home made bread for lunch and a hot turkey plate for dinner. No music last night.

This morning , I’m off to Palm Beach, be back later this afternoon. Then I’ve got the rest of the year off.

24.3 the low so far still breezy tired this morning. Time off extends to at least Tuesday too cold to pave. When we do finish walking path then back to business park.

Vt, 22 to start going to 30 ! Mostly clouds now and I think most of the day will be the same !

Not much planned for the day, we are only here until early tomorrow afternoon!
Don’t think I will get anything done in the shop , by the time I get the wood stove going I would only have a few hours to accomplish anything! Hopefully after Christmas I can get a couple days of work done on the rockers !

Mostly, sorry to hear you missed out on thanksgiving dinner !

First real freeze overnight.
We had a bunch of heavy frosts but getting up this morning it's aboot 25 and the few puddles are rock solid. Prior to this standing water only had a small fringe of frost around the edges.
Good thing I shut all the outside taps off and brought in the hoses yesterday.
Both pressure washers are safely in the heated garage.
Sun/cloud mix and fairly strong wind otherwise.
Not a pleasant day to do stuff outside, especially when you're not used to the cold yet.
So I won't.

Good Morning! Very close to our first freeze at 34˚F this morning. The Southerly wind will bring the temp to the mid 60s this afternoon.

The outside Christmas light are up, only put lights on the two cedar trees by the front door and a lit door wreath, anything else would require ladder work. I do have extra lights that I may put on the hedges but first I got to trim them.

House temp is 69 so the central heater is turned on for the first time.

24 outside this AM, heading to lower 40's.

Need to do the winterization routines this AM, heat lamps and outside faucets. Also need to get a few plants in the ground. That should be interesting. I guess winter is finally here.

Ran out yesterday for paint and caulk. Managed to get bathroom ceiling painted, again. Only spilled paint on myself once. Unfortunate boards I put up to cover chimney hole have leached something out of them this AM. I'll have to redo those with Kilz and more paint later. Got the walls to work on too. Simple frames for the entrance turned into a redo walls and paint project. LOL.

Looking forward to the afternoon and a nice walk with the wife and not my dog around the property. Will scope out firewood and wildlife. Not much else pressing on the agenda.

Well, it is scheduled for mid December. My MIL is coming to stay for a while. She needs to close out her MD estate/business now that she relocated to FLA.

The more we sit in it, the more we want to rent out the entire farm and do something else. It would be a good home base while on travel.

I'll have to get some before and after shots up on TBN. It's been close to three years. Was like building a house all over again. I do have a FB album online, those interested can PM me and we can connect.

Our golden Sofi would run around in circles as fast as she could go. She like sassy never met a stranger unless you made an aggressive move towards Holly at which point she got in between them. I miss our dogs.

I'm close to the mouth of the Welland Canal on Lake Ontario.
I didn't watch the news last night.
Would never have known that was going on there.

Had 2 helicopters buzz my house on way to neighbors yesterday, not happy. I think 20-30 feet above the trees might be a little low.

Good Morning!!!! 64F back in Orcutt. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 68F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Hopelessly behind in the posts; hope you all had a wonderful T-Day!

We explored the section of CA1 south of the landslides that currently have the way north blocked. The idea was to ride our ebikes on T-Day where the blockage would discourage other traffic. But with no shoulder, short sight lines, and more traffic than we anticipated, we kept the bikes in the van and just visited a couple of beach spots, including a pretty campsite right on the water.

Today Home Depot delivered a new washer and dryer, but the dryer was badly dented and had to be sent back. The crew knew it was dented before they put it on the truck. Now I get to wait for another dryer and screw around with waiting for another delivery. Not gonna do that again.
