I got my second attempt to upload to work by reducing the resolution of the pictures. Not sure why the first ones uploaded ok.
Possibly a bad shutdown module. My F2000 has a convoluted shutdown system. When you turn the key to off it gives a one shot signal to the shutdown module which "energizes" to activate the fuel shut down solenoid for about 5 or 10 seconds to stop the engine it then de-energizes to the solenoid which returns to the run position. My riding mower has been at the shop for almost 3 weeks. The dealer is dealing with Kubota because they have not been able to fix it. The mower runs fine for 10 minutes to 3 hours and then dies. It sits idle for 30 minutes and then, so far, starts, only to then randomly stop again. It is not the driver’s seat kill switch. It is not bad fuel. They say it is not an electric short. Whatever, the dealer can-not replicate the fault.
my oldest brother told me this today. 30 year old 23?hp Kubota diesel front mount mower. About 2000 hours.
my first thought was an overheat sensor that was wonky?
I don't think the mower has a temp gauge which really would help.
any ideas what I could suggest for him to check?
He took it to old established Kubota dealer.
I wonder if it is conking out on his very steep slopes. 30 years of dirt can get stuck in lots of places.
it's been religiously serviced yearly at dealer, but after you change the fuel filter, then?
pickup tube in tank? Blow out fuel lines?
this is an old mechanical Kubota diesel, have to believe there is junk in the line some place.
Pellets are 319 a ton with a 35 dollar delivery charge for the whole load..Mpham, ouch on the wood throwing. How much a ton of pellets up your way.
