Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 74 going to 83 and sunny.
Started yesterday cutting 7' ash planks, after that went to sams club and picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner and ribs for tonights dinner.
Son went with friend to see friends dad's band.

Cocktails on the back deck while watching the sun set and the deer eat the bushes.

M7040 - hope brother is ok, water in lungs sleep with head up, not flat. learned that with MIL and it helped.

Drew - I like the DEll's but have had ACer and Asus, and my work machines are always Lenovo, and yes, be careful on partial resolution vs full as it could make screens look a little skewed. Most of the speed and cpu spec now are gimmicks.
Is a 7 better than a 9, etc. is not as important as SSD, which is fine at version 4 and with a decent graphics card for video playback.

Sodamo - hope the issue is found, how much is an ECU and is it still under warranty? Placing a chip board near a radiator, doesn't sound like a good plan.

Be well,
cut 4 slabs from two Ash logs, Need wife to pick 2 for serving table,
Might make the larger Ash 1/4 log into a bench in the back property area, just need some short legs.
Miss having a lathe, and the room to store one....

My riding mower has been at the shop for almost 3 weeks. The dealer is dealing with Kubota because they have not been able to fix it. The mower runs fine for 10 minutes to 3 hours and then dies. It sits idle for 30 minutes and then, so far, starts, only to then randomly stop again. It is not the driver’s seat kill switch. It is not bad fuel. They say it is not an electric short. Whatever, the dealer can-not replicate the fault.

my oldest brother told me this today. 30 year old 23?hp Kubota diesel front mount mower. About 2000 hours.
my first thought was an overheat sensor that was wonky?
I don't think the mower has a temp gauge which really would help.
any ideas what I could suggest for him to check?
He took it to old established Kubota dealer.

I wonder if it is conking out on his very steep slopes. 30 years of dirt can get stuck in lots of places.
it's been religiously serviced yearly at dealer, but after you change the fuel filter, then?
pickup tube in tank? Blow out fuel lines?
this is an old mechanical Kubota diesel, have to believe there is junk in the line some place.

Possibly a bad shutdown module. My F2000 has a convoluted shutdown system. When you turn the key to off it gives a one shot signal to the shutdown module which "energizes" to activate the fuel shut down solenoid for about 5 or 10 seconds to stop the engine it then de-energizes to the solenoid which returns to the run position.
