3rd picture ???
When will Della be joining you on regular bases for hikes?
Has your BIG "Boss" bear return?
Big rock...hard to believe it is balanced like that.

Della has been on short walks, but her bone growth plates won't harden until about a year old, so hikes will get progressively longer, but all day hikes or backpacking will have to wait until next March, unfortunately.

Big Boss has been here twice, but haven't seen him in about 3 weeks. Did find some fresh looking poop.

Good morning, the low is 71 and going to a high of
77°F. Wind SSW 8 mph. Mainly sunny.

Once the temperature outside hits 80 then I have a pair of purple shorts I wear, but inside I wear nothing unless there is company coming. Then it is the purple shorts. ;)

I'm not sure what I am going to do today but rest assured it wont be much.

David, I agree with the others, maybe your ECU is going for a crap.

Have a safe day all

56 and thin clouds, going to 82. Yesterday was really nice. Maybe a shower tonight.

Great news, Fuddy! Fun times ahead.

Buppies, sure good that you two and the BEFs got together.

Scott, tell us about The Barrows Inn.

We puppy proofed about 90%, but of course it's the 10% left that is getting all Della's attention at times. We distract from those with dog toys, but her favorites seems to be plastic water bottles and boxes.

Got a good bit of pruning shrubbery done yesterday, and then took the backpack sprayer for a long poison ivy hunt once the wind died. Dump run and short puppy hike, too.

Have a peaceful Sunday.

Good Morning
It’s 55° and the sun is up. High of 80 and no rain forecast.

Yesterday started with youngest son and his wife coming for breakfast. Wife was at farmers market, I made waffles for them and our daughter that’s still here convalescing.

After breakfast we went to work, the big project was moving the safe in the garage. It’s a large Mosler that I bought at an auction and put in the garage while I was building the house with a forklift. It won’t fit through the garage doors and weighs many tons. And of course, it was where the door into the addition is going. But we got it done with the help of hydraulics and digging bars.

Next up was to clean some gutters and move tubs of alpaca wares before they had to leave to go to a wedding.

I did some more organizing, then took the little plane out to lunch. There is a grass airport nearby that always has something interesting going on, and they have food.

I could probably drive there faster than driving in the opposite direction to get the little plane out of the hangar and flying there, but…..

Had a nice visit there with old friends a nice lunch, came home and spent some quality time with the Lazer and string trimmer.

Drew stopped by and left me some fresh lettuce, I found the perfect use for it, along with some aged cheddar, dill pickle a bit of Dijon and ketchup.

I saw at least a dozen turkey vultures circling a pasture, when I looked to see what was dead, I saw a Bald Eagle had picked off a young ground hog. It took off as I approached it.
For some reason, I can’t post a picture of it. I’ll try a fresh post.

been looking at Acer and Asus laptops
my techie friend suggested this Asus as being slightly better than the Acer, which is ultra light to the point
the case flexes a little. I think I want something heavier duty for banging around in the motorhome; I don't treat this stuff
gently. Have no idea what an Intel Ultra 9 is, but assume it comes after my current 7 series chip.
specs
  • 2.3 GHz Intel Core Ultra 9 185H 16-Core
  • 16GB LPDDR5x RAM | 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD
  • 16" 3200 x 2000 120 Hz OLED Display
  • Integrated Intel Arc Graphics
  • microSD Card Reader
  • Thunderbolt 4 | USB 3.2 Gen 1 | HDMI
  • Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) | Bluetooth 5.3
  • Windows 11 Home
I know processor speeds go much faster but figure seven years later this should be faster than what I have, which
already was fast enough. Somehow 2.3mhz seems slow...but maybe it moves data way more efficiently.

For those of us old enough to remember loading floppy disks, and now solid state drives for almost instant
information, it isn't the computer slowing things down any more, it's my brain...
about half of the acronyms above make sense to me...
what's important to me is the 4k OLED display with a relatively fast refresh rate.
and the basics, enough RAM, enough storage, and a good video card.
and level 6 wifi whatever that is. Have not kept up with communications specs.

before I press the button and order this, going to go replace battery in current laptop.
now I put my tongue on the end of the big round capacitor, right?

I sure did enjoy my ride with Popgadget. Ride was a little rough on my neck.
motor was noisy. I think he needs an electric conversion and shock absorbers.
I'll give him a nice challenge...couple of nice Recaros would be good too.

Paul's place is a family compound of lovely homes with great places for kids to play
in privacy, lots of open space too. All of it neat and well taken care of.
What's really nice is he gets along with his sons so well that they
will all now live together. That's very cool.
Popgadget's tools must be the draw...they want to live next to the guy who can fix anything.

Enjoy your day all.

took the backpack sprayer for a long poison ivy hunt
Most recent zoom call with breeder included a suggestion to keep a new pup away from sprayed areas for 24 hours. And if they happen to go through an area sooner than that, rinse their paws afterward as dogs commonly lick their paws. I spray around the property but will start breaking it into front vs back and keep the dog away for at least a day when I do that.

Headed to a sunny 85F today. Seems every day is getting hotter ..

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good Morning,
Vt, 52 to start going to 80 ! Looks like another good one today !

We had a perfect day on the lake yesterday, found a nice quiet spot on the lake to anchor and idled away a few hours swimming and sunning while having lunch ! Water was surprisingly warm for this early in the season !

Wngsprd, the Barrows in was great last night, we sat on the patio, had a cocktail and the food was excellent! I had a grilled pork chop with garlic mashed potatoes along with grilled Brussel sprouts. Kathleen had grilled salmon with risotto and grilled asparagus!!She said the salmon was excellent!

Today we are heading to the Hildene Estate that was built and owned by Abe Lincoln’s son ! We will tour the estate and hike some of the many trails around it !

BBQ is ready to do some spareribs. Ribs are ready. Around 8am I will fire up BBQ and enjoy the smell of a few
Ron, I love the smell when smoking ! What do you use as a smoker?
I think he needs an electric conversion and shock absorbers.
Drew, I have the Polaris Ranger, the shocks on mine are set for the softest ride, they smooth out the bumps pretty good IMO ! Although it can get a bit noisy if your putting your foot into the acceleration!

Hoping to get in another late afternoon ride on the lake we will see !

Have to make a dump run this morning !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏

Popgadget's utv wasn't that noisy, it's my ears that are the problem.
Don't mean to nit-pick but 4k resolution is typically 3840x2160
you aren't nitpicking at all, that's exactly what I wanted to know since the Acer is 3840x2400
win for the Acer
thanks Plowhog.
I'll just have to be gentle with this Acer 2.5 pounder
my current one is 4 something, very heavily made.

and ding ding ding
a successful morning
new laptop battery went in fine, almost lost one screw that bounced across the floor
a full dozen of them, three rows of four. Very hard on my hands gripping weeny little
screwdriver but afraid my little powerdriver would be too much.
actually since it has an adjustable slip clutch, if I ever have to do this again, I'm dialing the torque
way down and using the cordless driver.

not too shabby time frame for a novice. Laptop turned on, said one quarter on battery, on charger now with charge light
on. Charging on ceramic oven top in case new battery fails, will be done when the green light comes on.
Then I can order a new one and give this to my close friend. 7 year old one will be wonderful for her, with a new battery too.
And not one but two chargers.

tried loading four 2.98mb pics and all came back saying too large for server to process. ??
will try again later
tried one at a time, clicked on properties, jpeg file
I think some server has indigestion

or maybe I'll do the tried and true.
turn my computer on and off.
banish the gremlins...
