How many shanks on that 10 footer?
On our chisel it's about 50/50 left and right points. When you sink it in the ground and watch how the soil is left will let you know were the points should be.
A 10 footer are you running 2 or 3 rows of shanks?
This is either a 12 or 14 ft, hard ground a 17 couldn't pull it. Good luck

64°F and .53 inches rain. Forecast continues.

Another good soup day yesterday. A very meaty ham bone transitioned from freezer occupant to hot star via high pressure session in Insta Pot. Joined by close veggie friends whose identity was smoothed by encounter with immersion stick. Delicious

Town today for a couple errands and Happy Hour.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Beautiful spring weather. 64º and sunny today. Will trim up tall grasses and weeds along fences and trees where the tractor left a little growth from yesterdays mowing. Bestco flail did a good job as long as I kept the rpms up and the speed down. Love the HST for mowing.
Maybe spray some weeds around the barn and in the gravel driveway today. Waiting for the neighbors field to dry out before mowing. That property has some muddy bottom sections. Ugh.
I need to mow it before the invasive Mustard weed goes to seed, so the best plan would be to cut each time they flower before they can mature to seed. 2 -3 times annually.
Too many projects - don't know where to turn next. It's all good though. lol
Hope you all have

I dropped the bomb on my manager this morning. He is tickled pink as is the foreman I work for. Pending a favourable license medical at the end of March, I AM going northwest this summer. I just cannot turn down $10,000.oo/month clear money.
Sounds like win win for everyone 🤞 cross for the medical.

Took off the plow off and cut some 6x6 pieces to block it up on. Protected the hydraulic ends with zip lock bags and tape. It is now more likely to snow enough to where it needs go back on??
Cleaned out the machine shed for clay and dirt tracked in by the tractors. Amazing how much dirt that accumulates over time.
Mounted back the bucket and hooked up the thumb and hydraulics. Do not have the fancy connect option so have to do it the old fashion way with brute force from an Irwin clamp.

Head of the county council tried to convince me that state laws mandate a balanced budget, hence the budget had to be increased to match the assessment increase, not the other way around.
Id say that guy needs to be replaced with someone who knows better.

good morning, 33 going to 50 today. Rain stopped

High winds yesterday took neighbors tree down and it is blocking somewhat our driveway. The crazy Pond neighbor we will see what he he will do with it.

Brushed teeth on Cody. Trying to do this daily to clean off some tartar and it is improving. A couple of bits of his dry food helps him wanting to do this. Reaching for the toothbrush and he is hopping on to his platform to wait

We give the boys, Greenies, actually only 1/2 one daily.
Vet has been very complimentary about their teeth last couple of visits.

I'd be happy to share.
All this rain and sun has resulted in a bumper crop of weeds and grass. Cutting it back and killing it off is kicking my ash :p
But if we don't do it the fire danger is real later in the summer.🔥🔥

Good Evening Guys,
I experimented on the Wheel Horse a bit ! Got out my long stem dial indicator, took out the spark plug and found TDC. Then gapped the points at .020, still hard to start when engine is cold. Dropped the gap down to .018 and it seems to start a bit easier, so just by retarding the timing a bit seems to have helped ! Will have to keep an eye on the points through the mowing season !

Bill, congrats on signing up for another season ! That’s some excellent money ! Should really help the retirement coffers !
Hope all have a good evening !

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 21.8C and it's presently 22.3C, mostly overcast and sporadically gusty. Ah, yes... early Autumn weather is always topsy-turvy, eh?

Paddock #5 clean-up went well. This was the first time that the 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' was present whilst I did it (she & Daughter were collecting/storing hay/lucerne squares). She learnt just what went on cleaning up a paddock, especially the Z-turn 'mulching' part. Fortunately I wasn't covered in too much 'horse dust' at the end.

Nothing 'on' for today. :)

That's about it, take care all.
