took the hedge clipper to a lot of dead bushes and flowers, dumped that load in woods and that will be all of that for today.
my biggest regret with my partner, who I was good friends with, was that his heavy smoking habit kept my wife and I from socializing
very much. If you are nonsmokers, the smell of smoke is usually offensive at best. He would shut his office door at one end of the office and smoke
all day long, while I was at other end of office and thankfully far enough away.
It was so nice when restaurants went nonsmoking. Then could go out to lunch/dinner with your smoking friends.
I called Bingo in that same firehouse I was in today every Wednesday night for seven years.
While they all smoked like crazy in front of me. Smokeaters on ceiling helped but my wife would usually greet me
with "you stink" when i got home. Clothes off and into the shower to get smell out of my hair and not on to pillow.
my neighbors really appreciated the ride down to the firehouse. She really should not be driving and he can't.
So it was really fun for her to see everyone. She's a lifer here too. Seeing all those older folks, I asked where two guys were,
who turned out weren't alive any more. In the middle of the service, the fire chief did a test run on the roof siren and dedicated
the alarm to my friends "last run". Honestly it was very moving.
my neighbors get my mail while I'm away so I was happy to chauffeur today.
feels a lot later than 4:30...
