Been good outside day...finally all caught leave control I had little zip left wit in me so decided to blow leaves side field edges back into the woods,near top of field corner came upon small deer gut pile cause by person/hunter (SOB) about 30' away sign clearly say HUNTING PERMISSION ONLY.
Backpack blower has next day and half off thank goodness for me.

Plans for the evening...after dinner recliner time maybe little desert before eye lower.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of -0.3C (glad that I put a fire on yesterday arvo) and it's presently 15.8C. Fairly clear with a breeze. A 'smattering' of rain, including a moment of granular hail, yesterday but nothing indicated in the gauge.

Of course I get a text from the PO this morning that I have a parcel to collect, so it's back into town later on. It'll be the new satellite set-top box... wish me luck as I "self install/set-up".

According to the "Liars", I'll let the woodheater fire go out on Saturday.

Did another hour of hiking around the park today. Went to town for supper at a place we like. Wife and son brought half of their food back, I managed to devour mine
I forgot my wallet, wife had to pay.
But on my CC, so I really pay.

Got the Dodge back, $181.oo poorer. There was a recall on the info centers in the dash. The one that has the stereo, backup camera and all that junk.
They also looked at why the A/C stopped working last spring and determined that it was low on Freon. We will look at that in spring. I have been assured that I can still have my windshield defrost running without the A/C compressor.

Good evening all. 70ºF for the start, overcast sky, 1.2 inch in rain gauge, breezy. Moderate wind, periods of rain, and high temp of 74ºF. Men's meeting to start day, bike ride while it was not raining, tried to get wife to commit to meeting with our account manager, and a nap. Dinner at Mexican restaurant dodging raindrops, place was still full.
Ron good to hear winter prep continuing. Nice the neighbor trees got trimmed up. Nice you got a little energy conservation in as well. Hope clean up crew is thorough

Coffee is done brewing. 59° with rain this morning. Heading to 70° with cloudy skies. .16" rain overnight. I did record total for the year before changing weather stations. 30.26" of rain so far this year. Normal rain for a year is 32.50". I think we will get there before year is over. Trimmed tree and shrubs along west side of my property line. Cleaned up there cuttings and put on chipper pile. Washed tractor and Mule before putting pressure washer away for the year. Grocery shopping this morning. Then see what shows up for rest of the day.
House Finch family showed up at seed cake feeder.

53 to start going to 74 ! Indian summer is here !

Up way to early ! Working today then driving to Vt this afternoon! Should be sufficiently tired by the time I get there ! Some friends are coming up on Friday , and also meeting with some other friends in Lake George on Saturday afternoon! By the looks of the weather, it will be warm up there until Sunday. Even though we go all winter, starting now I drain the plumbing out when we are not there ! I only leave the heat on at 50 but never wanted to take the chance not draining things out. During the winter it can get down to -25 F !

Chaos reigns at the homestead.

Never set foot on the continent of Africa. Is on the to-do list. Mt. Kilimanjaro, would like to summit.

The last two days I have been harvesting walnuts, so far over 400 pounds worth. Even managed to give a 50lb bag away to some unsuspecting individual.

Hope all are well.

I'd love to climb Mt K, too. I've always picked up all the walnuts before mowing the frisbee field...this year, I raised the deck and drove over all of them...good way to break the husks off...maybe the squirrels will find them before they get the rest of my pecans.

Not sure the low last night, probably low to mid 30s, frost warnings were out. . Used the furnace to bring the chill down, th we n the electric heater was enough for the rest of the night.
Slept in.
Cooked Bacon and eggs on the griddle.
Went for an hour hike, 1.9 miles. Included a nice flat nature trail. About 1/2 mile or so on the AT which runs thru the park.

Sounds like a great time.

The robot cutter did a good job got the measurement of the cut from the CT scan I took a week ago.

BEF those camp fire pics look good. They reminded me of the camp sites we cleared out in the River Ranch Park last year - primitive sites with fire rings.

Good Morning.
51 on its way to 77 today. Another sunny day.

Yesterday was a varied day. Got the finish on the speakers,

Tinkered with some of the settings on the VFD on the saw, locked out reverse, up to speed in 3 seconds, decelerates in the same time, etc.

Stopped by a friends shop where he was making an exhaust system for a Sunbeam Tiger barn find. It hadn’t run in 37 years. Now has all new fuel and brake lines and rebuilt calipers and wheel cylinders as well as master cylinders for brakes and clutch, also the slave cylinder for the clutch. All those parts were rebuilt by him, new parts were not available.

Stopped at HD and got some Moretite for sealing the hardware and drivers on the speakers, picked up a 4lb hand sledge while I was there.

Flew RC a bit, played with grandson and Zoe, grilled some hot dogs for dinner (after changing the tank on the grill).

This morning I’m off to Alexander City, AL for the day. An unplanned diversion, but it’s for good long time clients, so I’ll lose a day in the shop for them.

I think today after I go to the dump I will dig out the LED cube lights I actually bought for the Freightliner but never got around to putting them on. They will replace the forward work lights on the Kioti AND maybe put rearward shining lights on too. I gotta take the roof off to do the front ones, so I might as well kill 2 birds with one stone.

That is my day all mapped out,now lets see how much I actually get done.
