Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 4:45AM. Light rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High around 50F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
The weather folks are calling for a "Moderate long lived atmospheric river" that will bring repeated doses of rain over the next week. It would seem that someone over in Hawaii left the door open again.
Thanks for sharing those photos, Cat. Looks like a lot of fun. And I hope getting the sled straightened out isn't too painful!
Can't fix stupid, Thomas, especially the ones determined to screw up. It would be just to hear that the insurance company denied the claim, but how would we ever get the word?:confused2:
Ran three tanks of gas through the little Stihl yesterday cleaning up the last of the big brush pile, and very glad to see it gone. Not even a half cord of wood out of the deal, as most of it ended up in the bonfire. A lot of those limbs were crooked as a dog's hind leg, and pulling them apart was a big wrestling match. A good workout in the wood gym, one that by 2:30 had me lookin' for a nice, cushy desk chair. Which I found in front of the computer drafting a drawing of the two little plastic tabs that came in the mail to fix the van's shift linkage. With the dimensions and a nice block of Delrin in hand I'll make my own next time some ham fisted idiot ignores my instructions for shifting into reverse.
If the rain holds off, I'll use the big saw to buck the shorter lengths of wood I gathered along the road last month. Once that pile is moved the building pad will be clear. Unfortunately when I spoke to the builder Friday, he hadn't made much progress on the estimate. His excuse is that the company has so much work from Paradise it's hard to find the time for more. Maybe it's time for me to find the time to find a builder that needs the work more than this one does?:muttering:
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...:cloud9:
