Good Morning Everyone!!!!

The freezing drizzle started falling around midnight and the temperature was 28ºF. The drizzle changed over to freezing rain and it is still raining freezing rain at 32ºF presently. +1/8" of ice is coating everything. Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect I just heard on the TV news that there was a vehicular rollover in town this AM. I am not planning on going anywhere any time soon. The NWS has issued a High Wind Watch for this area for tonight into tomorrow as this weather system booms off the ME coast. I would not be surprised if we lose power tonight/tomorrow; wind gusts may hit 70 mph here. An arctic airmass is predicted for mid week here with temperatures dropping to ~0ºF for morning low temperatures. The weather pattern continues as to precipitation this week into next weekend.

Drew- I hope that your new help works out.

Happy Birthday Coco.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Roy- Good news about Suzette.

Lynn has the best pictures I've seen on this site. Reminds me of travel magazines.
Uh Lynn, bet you slowed down a bit after your little tree scraping incident. You are an experienced rider,
what caused that? Was it on a curve? Good thing you jumped...

It's 20 degrees this morning and overcast. Think it's supposed to snow tomorrow and and next day.

Here's how I hit the tree.
I was doing donuts (to close to trees) and I was about tip over (inward) and rather than tip and have to lift the sled back on it's track I let up on the leaning/turning at the wrong time. I was pointed right at the trees. With way to much speed and the throttle still pinned I just didn't have time to stop or turn. In hindsight I should have laid the sled on it's side while turning and slid into the trees letting the track hit the tree.

What I've learned over the last year or two is this; I'm NOT 35 anymore. My reaction time has slowed down. I need to slow down and enjoy more. (At least where space is limited :D)

Our fridge is a 7 year old LG French door, bottom freezer model that we bought when we built the house. Wasn’t real expensive, about $1200-1300. Had one side by side, will never own another, don’t like the narrow freezer.

44 now, was warmer early, .98 of rain since midnight, over 5.25 inches since last Sunday. High winds due in later.

Good day for all, God bless.

I do similar maneuvers on the jet ski, but not near trees! :D

Daughter and I got some tilling done, and planted some purple onions, 6 better boy, and 6 Bigger boy tomato young plants. They are getting some good sun today. Hopefully no freezes in future, it's not the $7, it's the time setback that I would be mad about. Hope to find some more white onions to plant and get them in the ground today.

Refrigerator shopping still going on. There is an LG I like, but it has the new technology "Inverter" driven linear compressor..... Since I like to repair my stuff whenever possible, I prefer the simple old school compressor with an analog rotary temp control. No circuit boards to go out and such.

With no rush to get outside this morning I have been searching through tbn for inspiration on building a box grader/ land plane. A grader has been on my implement wish list for several years and now my scrap pile has received a boost from this pallet load, I reckon I have accumulated enough steel to make a start.

I'm all eyes on this one.

Kyle, we have a LG that has to be close to 20 years old. It makes noises. But keeps everything properly refrigerated. 20cuft bottom freezer.

My wife is firm about not wanting another side by side, due to no room for a large platter. And she's not keen on the bottom freezer, but maybe I need to go show her the bottom freezer models. I'm not sure I want to be bending over everytime I need something from the fridge....

We have the large LG with the French upper doors and the lower freezer with the linear compressor. It has been a decent unit.
No repairs under warranty, did have to replace the internal fan with the "new" upgraded one. All in all fairly well pleased with it.
A 10 year compressor warranty but that is quite limited, just the compressor nothing else.
