Good morning!!!!

successful afternoon
only got water sprayed in my face once while installing filtration system.
put teflon tape on everything, put it together and then nothing leaked at all.
All the cables provided were exactly what I needed. How nice.

will be nice to be able to make coffee with that water and if tastes ok, even drink it.
Tomorrow I'm going to double clamp any of the existing hose clamps and neaten up the install with some
rubber cushion clamps. the worm clamp assortment came with a really nice custom socket wrench and handle, mini, for the nut on the clamp.
No more fiddling with a flat head screwdriver. I always use a socket on them when I can, nice they provide one.
A new tool... (y)
That's a nice compact setup. How easy to change the filters?

That's a nice compact setup. How easy to change the filters?
not easy at all, but whole thing unplugs on both ends. Interesting inch long double gasketed connector. Like a giant rca jack.
One of the reasons only rated for 1 gpm. which is fine for kitchen sink. but not fine for shower so could not install at water inlet, under the bed again.
Better here. Attaches on back and just pulls off. first two filters will last until next summer. Third one lasts a year. I have spares for the first two.
Filters are twist and lock, I know because I knocked the end one off under pressure. Not much water leaked, that's good, then twisted it back in with no water loss.
whatever gaskets those filters have, they work well. quarter turn twist and locks, seriously convenient.

filtration unit gets much heavier when it's full of water. really didn't want that weight hanging on the internal thin wood much less banging into it when
rv hits a bump. So I rested almost all the weight on the towel underneath but one screw holds it in place.
not for high water volume at all but I don't need that here. I always bring water, but on these longer trips, I run out. And I only have an e bike which
clearly is not designed to haul a case of water on.
I'm in 13 different campgrounds on this next trip.
Once I'm past the first two nights, I'll let a lot of the fresh water out of the tank. No reason at all to haul water along when I'm hooked up to a hose every night.
It's the freezing weather I'm concerned about. I have memories of an ice flow coming out of the water inlet of this rv last year in VA. A little later in the year though

Have already been cautioned about possible lack of water at a few places in PA and VA
The one I'm staying at south of VA Beach stays open. That beach will be all mine.
my decompression beach before I head for home.

when my BIL comes back on Saturday we will get the steering stabilizer installed and I will be done.
I'm sure I'll find something to wax in the warm afternoon sunshine

Back home from camping. Picked the absolute best week to go weather wise. Got camper stowed away on its new spot. Should have made this pad years ago. Everything unpacked. Will need to winterize soon.
Kitties were glad to see us.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.9C and it's presently 15.4C, cloudy with a slight breeze.

The new set-top box was retrieved and the 'set up' went, surprising, smooth! That's a first for the year when it comes to anything electronic.

Not much 'planned' for the rest of the week.

That's about it, take care all.

Are you able to get it straight without bending a little?

Yes I can.
I counted up my pain pills and determined I’ll run out Sunday. Because so many people abuse pain pills it was hard to do. Then the Doctor would only give a prescription for 10 more pills and the pharmacy wouldn’t let me pick them up until I called in Sunday to pick them up.

Good Evening Guys,
Made it to Vermont by 7:45pm, was a pretty good run considering we got behind a few pokes ! As Thomas said earlier, looks like we had a few spot showers !

Good God, I love this place ! Can’t figure out why we don’t live here all the time ! 😭

Oh that’s right we have grand children in Ct ! 😊

So peaceful here, Kathleen and I had a glass of wine out on the front porch together, really nice !

Hope all have a great evening !

Good Evening GM'ers !

It's a balmy 62F with fair skies @ 22:15 here, heading down to a low of 62 overnight with a 60% chance of showers.

We've been at peak color for probably 3 - 4 days:

IMG_3012 copy.jpg

This past Monday morning it got down to 32.2 per the closest PWS and The Woman said there was significant frost when She got up ... I could see a lot of plants got hit and were frostbit when I got out there.

Warmed right back up to the 70's on Tuesday (through today) though ... so we're officially in Indian summer I guess.

I got the front lawn cut along with the back and east side, down here around the house on Tuesday:

IMG_3014 copy.jpg

Also ran over the straw on the newly seeded area and ground it up and blew it off. Still have a little further clean up to do there but new grass is looking good ... (y)

At some point in that time frame I got all the rest of the holes for the strawberries melted in the weed block fabric - 4 rows total with around 50 holes per row.

I've also been working some on getting the strawberry plants in the ground, 45 more planted so far:

IMG_3016 copy.jpg

Still quite a ways to go on that, on the agenda for tomorrow.

Would have gotten more done on that today but had to knock off early for a doctor's appointment.

Also got the order for the softener parts placed on Tuesday, although it has not shipped yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

Last Sunday the brass parts for the softener valve got soaked in some Iron-X to remove as much of the rest of iron as possible.

That seemed to darken up the parts quite a bit, probably a chemical reaction.

Woman was lamenting that they were no longer bright and shiny ... so I may hit the exterior again with a wire brush ... now that I've dug out the Sears Roto-zip and the HF speed controller.

Hope everyone has been having a decent week ... (y)

Drinking warm cup of coffee. 63° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 73° with cloudy and light rain. Grocery shopping went well. Went with neighbor to get a estimate on getting rust damage repaired on 2012 F150. Going to cost a few $$$. But truck only has 60K on it. Had late lunch with friends. Then enjoyed the nice weather on back porch. Today will be much of the same on back porch.
Road in front of my house.
