Sodamo - great that the conversion worked so well, wish we could keep the pool open longer, but you know, cold
Good Afternoon Ken,
We try to keep ours open a little longer in the fall only to use the built in hot tub ! But when the leaves take over and start filling the pool, then the cover goes on !!
Maybe later today, but I have a hot lunch date in a few.
Good Afternoon Mike,
Always go for the hot lunch date, rather than getting bruised knuckles and grease on hands ! :)

Took Kathleen out on the pontoon boat , beautiful afternoon, hope to get out a couple more times in October. That will probably be it for this year !

Drew, I have the 1930 Ford Model A standard coupe ! Great little car but I dont really use it enough !

Have a Great evening !

interesting that Ford called their 1930 car an A
and Chevy called theirs an AB.
before my time.......

ten more trips out to rv, getting down to the end, doing wash so I don't leave dirty clothes here.
loaded a couple more books onto my Kindle

I think I will likely die with a little muscle memory remaining of
shoving my left leg down on the clutch and my right hand pulling back on the
column shifter, and down for first.
I had a Peugeot 403 with a four speed on the column.
Back and up for first. Slow as could be and fun to drive.
with a sliding sunroof in the early 60's, that wasn't so common

Now the mosquitoes will come in a couple of weeks.
Hope the trans project works out. We are about to get reacquainted with the Texas mosquito alright. The lack of rain has kept them in check.
TWO bit score, I'll try to remember what the heater sells for, I saw on eBay from $100-$400.
.87" rain today! yea!
Don, that’s more than I expected them to be bringing.

Kilroy, this is for you
The Foley Ford dealership is the same Foley that went on to be the large Foley Caterpillar dealer in Piscataway, who also bought
out Giles and Ransome. And way back when, my grandfather bought a new Ford from them.
sure wish I had a picture of this, none I have found in family old pics.
Was this a model A?
I doubt it was a fancy model. My grandfather was frugal. Pretty sure he switched to Chevrolets after this.
I came from a family of 210s and Biscaynes.
Grandfather's last car was a 55 Chevy 210 four door, whatever the least expensive model was, zero chrome except
bumpers, and of course a blue flame six with a three on the tree. Unbreakable car. I tried. It was so homely in light green.

I'm going to have to look up what a 1930 sport coupe looks like
somewhat curious over the timing. He had invested his money like a good American in the market through a friend
he knew or trusted, and in the big crash, lost 90 percent of his money invested. So here a year later he's buying
a new Chevy.

my grandfather went by Otto, clearly wanting to disassociate himself from Adolph after that name was ruined for all time.
He was always Otto or Grandfather to us kids
Even though we had a German name our family came from Eastern Ukraine, and ****** had sent about ten of the family
to Belzec. So I'm pretty sure my grandfather wanted no part of that name.
and thank heaven he liked to take photographs. I even have an early video tape, looks like 30's, now on a dvd
and this is all in New Jersey.
He built a new home in Newark, owned property in West Orange, and I think once had a small place in Freehold.
But when it was time to retire, he came over to PA and bought a 116 acre farm in New Hope for $16,000.
We finally sold it for a bit more than that.

time to mow

edit, I was sure he bought a Ford, since he owned a Ford dealership a few years later, but clearly this was a Chevy.
Which he drove later on, a Chevrolet from Foley Chevrolet.
