Waiting for someone to forklift a ton of wood pellets, $350 ton. Ouch. Up $50 ton from last year, same place.
Here is a link to a spreadsheet that i created to compare the actual cost of most typical heating fuels. You can enter your local prices and heater efficiency to see what various fuels actually cost per delivered BTU.

Makita bought Dolmar about 20 years ago, they tried rebadging them immediately but didn’t sell (although a friend of mine got one and it still runs fine) but now they are fully branding those saws as Makita.

Makita acquired Dolmar in 1991.

Kilroy, this is for you
The Foley Ford dealership is the same Foley that went on to be the large Foley Caterpillar dealer in Piscataway, who also bought
out Giles and Ransome. And way back when, my grandfather bought a new Ford from them.
sure wish I had a picture of this, none I have found in family old pics.
Was this a model A?
I doubt it was a fancy model. My grandfather was frugal. Pretty sure he switched to Chevrolets after this.
I came from a family of 210s and Biscaynes.
Grandfather's last car was a 55 Chevy 210 four door, whatever the least expensive model was, zero chrome except
bumpers, and of course a blue flame six with a three on the tree. Unbreakable car. I tried. It was so homely in light green.

I'm going to have to look up what a 1930 sport coupe looks like
somewhat curious over the timing. He had invested his money like a good American in the market through a friend
he knew or trusted, and in the big crash, lost 90 percent of his money invested. So here a year later he's buying
a new Chevy.

my grandfather went by Otto, clearly wanting to disassociate himself from Adolph after that name was ruined for all time.
He was always Otto or Grandfather to us kids
Even though we had a German name our family came from Eastern Ukraine, and ****** had sent about ten of the family
to Belzec. So I'm pretty sure my grandfather wanted no part of that name.
and thank heaven he liked to take photographs. I even have an early video tape, looks like 30's, now on a dvd
and this is all in New Jersey.
He built a new home in Newark, owned property in West Orange, and I think once had a small place in Freehold.
But when it was time to retire, he came over to PA and bought a 116 acre farm in New Hope for $16,000.
We finally sold it for a bit more than that.

time to mow

edit, I was sure he bought a Ford, since he owned a Ford dealership a few years later, but clearly this was a Chevy.
Which he drove later on, a Chevrolet from Foley Chevrolet.

68F and cloudy @ 13:00, heading up to around 70F for the day's high. Low this morning was 55.4F.

LWS reports 0.01" of the wet stuff since midnight, slight (25%) chance of rain over the next 36 hours, then nothing for the next 6 days after that.

Two fawns just out back browsing the tree line, thankfully NOT in the garden.

Refilled hopper and both tube feeders yesterday, also scattered cracked corn for the ground feeders.

Finished up mowing over on the west side.

Got all the strawberry runners in pots watered, cut off probably at least 3 or 4 dozen more short runners that had formed.

Possible agenda items for this afternoon:

Plant some of the new strawberry plants in the holes I recently melted in the weed block fabric.

Melt more holes in the weed block fabric.

Mix up more glyphosate.

Do some more spraying.

Plus whatever else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday ... (y)

I'm thinking RS should be getting some strawberries pretty soon.

Only if you consider next June 2024 as being "pretty soon" ... ;)

Hear you on the tinnitus ... it's a constant whine here ... but sometimes if the frequency of a sound is just right it causes my eardrums to vibrate in the worst way.

It's annoying as h e l l ....

Ken, my next major on the pool is rework my DYI heater. Years ago I fashioned a heater with rows of black poly pipe. Had a section get dislodged and needs to be reinstalled, but when I do I will paint the roof flat black hoping for a bit more gain.

Thanks.
I just use pellet stove to warm up downstairs family room.
Wish I had one in basement to take the chill off down there
I really need to go around house and better air seal.

2AD built in Tarrytown 2 dr coupe with rumbleseat

horsepower raised to 50 big ones and thank goodness hydraulic shocks came in.

I think it looked like this with the wire wheels and ever so important chrome bumperettes

so it's a Chevy, not a Ford, interesting model number mimicking Ford's
I think it looked like this though probably a plain color
