Overcast and low 60's this morning.

Ran to property and hung a tree stand. Put fresh straps on another one and dragged the mini ex back to the house for the winter.

Now I gotta replace a heater hose on the f350 and then do brakes and a tie rod end on our f150 and watch football tomorrow. Wanted to go shooting tomorrow but looks like it's gonna be a rain out day.

First I mowed a walking path around side for wife to exercise.
I'm sure she appreciates not having ticks leap on her.
all kinds of bugs in those fields...and the birds love them
as much as the hawks love the voles

Camera captures all kinds of critters in the field, coyotes, deer, turkeys, skunks, and bear.

Enjoyed talking to neighbor behind me. He offered to push a couple dead trees that fell along field back into woods. I thanked him but said they can lay where they are for now.

Got yard mowed around house. It could have waited, but when the neighbor mowed, it made mine look bad
1.1 hrs on mower today. Of course I mowed 1st lap forgetting to lower mower deck.
Yesterday was 2.4 hrs to mow lot, spent little extra time to mow back weeds.

Finds for today: Coleman camp stove and grandpa's vintage Dearborn propane heater.

Brief shower while we were taking 3 trailer loads full of stuff to the estate sale and a nice .59" of rain at home. Temp was in the upper 80s so we were able to work till we got through with gathering stuff from the remote site.

I'm interested in how much those heaters were fetching in the sales. I have about a dozen old space heaters I need to get rid of.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.5C due to wind-chill. It's presently 13C and has calmed down a lot, but still a bit of a breeze. Fairly clear.

As usual, I'm off to Church in a half hour and then the rest of the day is his.

The 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' will be around sometime today to collect & re-unite her horse from Paddock #1. He's been calm since Friday evening.

WE GOT RAIN !!! About 1.25" this afternoon. Only 81F, but very humid and not much breeze. The ground soaked it up.

Now the mosquitoes will come in a couple of weeks.

Got the son out to put the dirt in the hole we dug to fix the dripping water line a few weeks back. I wanted to make sure it held before I covered it back up.

Done with scan now see what results two times on table last time 45 minutes fell asleep. Results lesion on gland causing too much calcium leading to soreness muscle loss weakness feeling like one needs to throw up. I touch all the symptoms. Keep putting one foot in front of the other

Morning all, 55 going up to 77, sun is up.
Spent a few more hours with trimmer. A few more today should finish up this round of stiltgrass hell.

Why so much trimming? Something you can't mow?

Got the '79 Yamaha GT 80 running, it has been sitting too long. Tried to push start it first, then a few shots of starter fluid. It would run for a bit then die. Cleaned the carb. Used gas to clean the foam filter, put a new sparking plug in, put it back together and it started in 3 kicks. Runs good. Might could jet it down a bit leaner. My son doesn't want to part with it, but he's too big for it.

Added about a 1/2 can of R134 freon to my commuter car. Since Buppies says the heat is coming back...

Sorry about you guys tractor oops. Glad divorce was staved off by a hair.

Remember me whining about the flavor of hamburger meat? I bought 10 lbs from a buddy at work that comes from a custom processor. $5/lb. Tastes great. It is very lean, he says it is 90/10 ground chuck.

My wife is cutting onions, smashing garlic and using the above hamburger meat to make a big pot of chili. I think she's using 4 lbs. of it. Lots of thin cut white onions. She says it is so lean, that she adds a bit of olive oil to precook it. (it was frozen).

researching transmission removal from Traverse. It shows that it can be done, but the engine has to be held up while the subframe is dropped. I just don't know if I have the strength to do work like this anymore. Rebuilt trannys are $2000-$4000. More than we want to shell out. Have to ask MIL what she wants to do. 6T70 transmissions don't look too hard to rebuild. We need a new converter for sure.

Good evening all. 64ºF for the start, overcast, light breeze. Light wind, rain showers during driving and at home, and high temp was 84ºF, HI 87ºF. Drive to Greenville to start day, bike ride 60+ miles, 3:51 moving time, 4:43 total time. Could not find the showers or open restaurant so started back, found a DQ in Leonard. Heavy rain near Sherman, and .15 inch in rain gauge at home. Did get very short nap, and Mexican for dinner.
Ron glad roll-top desk is gone. Maybe you can reorganize the shop to do less machine moving when wood working. Neat balloon landing.
Drew hope dinner at brother's went well. Your Puerto Rico coffee is the best of your day.

Spent 5 hours clearing trails...1st, the dead pine that fell across the trail...had to do 6 grapple loads. Then chain saw and pole saw and picking up sticks. Looks good now. Ended with about a day's burn-worth of small firewood.

Morning all!
Currently 50 going to a sunny 74. Should be a perfect day to go see a bi-centennial parade at our closest city.
No rain yesterday but we did get enough wind to break off a bunch of branches in the yard. Not sure on the damage as I spent most of the day practicing my retirement!
Got the grass mowed this week and managed to turn the compost pile and make a new area for this years leaves. They are already starting to jump off the trees here. Must be due to all the rain we had this year. Speaking of...heavy rain in the forecast for tomorrow! Hope this pattern switches before snow season!
I've been getting up around 4 am my whole life. Wish I could sleep later!
Small project from the woodshop. We needed a new coffee scoop.
