48 going to 81. Could see my breath outside this morning.

Ron, cool having balloons land...and ballooning on 50th wedding anniversary. We helped one land down the road many years ago.

Been watching a helicopter on Flightradar24 that came over near the house low a little while ago. I've seen it many times...wondered about it...turns out it is a Medevac, Bell 407...took off from MCV Hospital in downtown Richmond and is landing at Culpeper Regional Airport. Hope not too serious.

Moved some implements yesterday, and put the grapple on the tractor...have a big pine that came down in the storm this summer that I need to clean up at the bottom of the hill.

Good morning! Almost puffy coat weather! 69˚F heading to only 79˚ - don't believe it. North wind cloudy skies chance of rain. The last 3 day we have had a total of an inch!

Feels good to have all the estate inventory together. Now they need to come sort and price. I do need a day of pressure washing some of the items.

Got started an hour late heading south, and it took longer since have to detour because of road closed thru Harpers Ferry.
Got to lot at 12:45. Finished around 3:10. Forgot to look at hour meter. Did mow back some of the tall weed area with deck set to high. Bunch of junk and rocks in here, but could see some so just went easy.
Moved the cell cam to opposite direction , deer seem to approve of the mowing.
Changed batteries in other camera and swap SD card. It was covered in ants again, I took it down to change batteries and wiped ants off. Got bit some. Almost lost the SD card. we were just pulling down thru field and I felt pocket and it wasn’t there. I had taken shirt off to shake grass off and it fell out.
Met neighbor behind me. Nice guy. I have now meet all neighbors. He waited till I was done and drove his tractor down. We probably chatted over 30 minutes. He said he would have stopped other times and talked but didn’t want to interrupt my mowing. I told him to come on down anytime I’m there mowing.
I asked him about putting drive way in from the one he shares with other neighbor, he didn’t care, but said ask her, as that section is on her land. Actually, according to my survey it is partly on my land also.
Left mower on trailer when I got home, too dark to see.
Nice...very nice, got that golf coarse look.

Traditionally the balloonist offers the land owner champagne.
Never been offered Champagne. Did ask for permission to land. They took off from a park about 3 miles from me. Very calm evening. They started their landing after 7pm. It was almost dark when they had balloons raped and put away in trailers.

Good Morning Guys,
53 to start going to 66 ! Pretty overcast here, but little to no wind ! Slight changes in foliage color, should start happening soon with these cooler mornings ! If it doesn’t rain I can hopefully get the field on the other side of the DW mowed ! Thankfully no power over there ! The wife and I were starting to eat dinner by candlelight last night before the power finally came back on ! I’m not sure about the romantic part ! 😏

Don, nice old heater there, looks like it just needs a good cleaning !

The old Massey is ready for another go of it out in the barn, touched the blades up with my trusty angle grinder!

All have a blessed and safe day !

Being a morning type I'm not sure why I've never posted to this interesting thread.
Noice and cool here, so I did my weekly ZD mower maintenance - grease, blades, and cleanup. Nothing else scheduled! Enjoy your weekend.

Good morning, low this morning was 49 high today 79

Dollar General is planning to build a store in our small historic town and lots of people are protesting. The city apparently can not stop it but can force them to change it to look more like the rest the town.

Nothing planned today other than what comes up around the house

Got tests back from lab :-(

Riptides - hope the damage is just superficial. Some days....

Scotty - thats a lot of energy stored, lucky you didn't share any of it.

Welcome RJ.

Off to do more trimming after late night getting son and friends home.

Be well,

Good morning! Low of 49°, heading to a high of 71°. Good amount of broken cloud cover this morning, not really any chances of rain. I'll take the clouds.....

Ron, nice pic of the balloon. Even though there are balloons out almost everyday in Albuquerque, and then Balloon Fiesta (fiasco), they never come over this side of the mountains.

Scott, glad you got power back relatively quickly and divorce papers were put away......

Ken, sorry to read that bad report came in. Prayers sent.

Drew, good luck packing. The warmer / topper sounds good for relief.

Dennis, nice job mowing, looks good!

Welcome to RJ!

RIP, hope not too much damage to the tractor. Was the alternator belt still there?

Don, glad the estate sale is coming together. A lot of work for sure. Glad you got some rain too.

Son and GS will be helping me this weekend, will lighten the workload for sure!

Everyone have a great day!

About normal time to get up. Never have been able to break habit of getting up early since retiring 19 years ago.
You up early?
Yep, it was me up too early 😂

Had good breakfast with the gang this morning. Beautiful day, should do something productive.

Thanks for the grass comments. The tall stuff is tough to cut, and a lot of those were still standing, but hard to see in a picture. Definitely not golf course quality. Here’s a before picture.
First I mowed a walking path around side for wife to exercise.

I'm sure she appreciates not having ticks leap on her.
all kinds of bugs in those fields...and the birds love them
as much as the hawks love the voles

71°F and .12 inches rain

Need to finish up my solar project, wire the 6 panels in series. Normally a piece of cake and should have taken mere minutes. Unfortunately I had help from AH neighbor when I first installed the older panels. One of his 1st contributions was to cut off the factory connectors, leaving about 6 inch pig tail. Without my approval of course. The 2 larger panels still have their MC4 connectors and will simply plug together. Of course this is on the scaffold work. Should be less than an hour work, but wasn’t going to attempt at end of day when tired.
Otherwise installation came out great although those larger panels apparently gained weight and were a challenge. Pic later.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
