Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 86F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Shortly after I posted yesterday morning I heard rain on the roof, but not enough to register any accumulation. Heard it again just before two in the afternoon, and this time we got 0.05", just enough to dampen the dust in the driveway, but not enough to really soak it in. I'm hoping these cool temperatures stick around for a while, and we get more rain in the near future.
Nice, neat job on the wiring, Rich. I'm not much of a fan of that split loom stuff, but I still use it, especially when there's not enough room to wind cloth tape around the bundle.
Swapped the battery out of the big touring bike and into the zebra dual sport yesterday. Headed up to see a buddy in Klamath Falls tomorrow, then on up to a little town north of there for an Airhead club campout. Looks like the weather will be cool enough to get back into the leathers, a sure sign Fall is coming.
A package arrived yesterday containing not one, but two, engine management units for the van. One looks like the one I sent in for repairs, but I've never seen the other one before. Maybe it's to make up for the one I sent them and they said couldn't be repaired? Or this latest one couldn't be repaired and they sent a replacement? I'll have to guess because there was no note explaining what they'd done, and I wasn't in the mood to mess with it last night.
Pretty sunset last night with all the clouds the storm left behind.
What I did enjoy last night was to watch a documentary called
The Water of Life, which chronicaled the revival of Single Malt Scotch Whisky that started back in the '80s. Lots of familiar names, several of which I couldn't help sampling while I was watching...
