Good morning! 64˚ F, cloudless sky, South wind, heading to 90˚.
This morning's weather should stay comfortable during FireWise cedar trees removal. The reciprocating saw is the tool of choice because most cedars are a few inches in diameter and need to be cut off at ground level.

good morning all.
rained twice last night, came down pretty good, total of 2 inches since yesterday.
should be a nice sunny day today

Roy, glad you are feeling ok.
Ted, congrats on fixing the Jeep. Quite a job.

67 going to 81. Good rain last night, almost an inch.

Good luck on that land, BEF...looks like good potential.

Don, careful with that cerdarcide work.

Afternoon storms missed us yesterday, but packed a huge amount of wind for us as I was out mowing. Then it provided a greeat sunset.

Our middle son and his wife are in Colorado hiking the Rockies...sending me pictures...I need to get a paper towel and wipe off my keyboard...been drooling over those mountains. 😁

Getting low on birdfood, etc...may need to do a Costco run.

Good Morning
68 with a high of 78 for today, clearing throughout the day with dropping humidity, we got about 1/4” of rain overnight. A lot of downpours missed us on their way to Drew.

Yesterday was spent mostly inside doing some computer work and cutting some sandblast mask for the rock man. Pulled the Lazer out and pressure washed it, it was a mess as the landscapers used it to run around the fence lines in the rain before they ran the string trimmers.

Today starts with a trip to Allentown to meet with the FAA and go over maintenance records. Hopefully that will be a non event, as I’m pretty sure that everything is in order.
After that I plan to stop at the Sellersville Theater st94.com and pick up some tickets for upcoming shows, Pokey LaFarge, Hot Club of Cowtown and Bill Kirchen. It’s a great venue, I generally can get seats up front, they save them for members until a month before showtime. When I say up front, I mean I could reach on to the stage and read the set lists.

Other than that, another relaxing day.

64° got another .5” rain yesterday.

Nice trolley car. Thurmont has one. I almost bought land outside myersville years ago when I was looking.
We could have been neighbors!!

55°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 82° today. Looks like we're steadily warming until we get back to the low 90s by next week.

Good morning, gents.

.....

Friends of mine, just completed I think "467" miles of the Colorado trail. They averaged 13 or 16 miles a day. Some of the pictures I saw last night looked like CGI or paintings. Breath taking.

On their last day they met and walked with an 80 year old man who too was completing the trail. He took them for free beer and pizza.

I need to get more details of this last trip. They are avid hikers. The altitudes would put a damper on my plans. No way to train for that here.

Good morning to all! Low of 50°, a good sign of temps trending down. High today should be around 77°. Good chances of storms (I've heard that before...). Hopefully we will get some today.

Off to town this morning, a few errands. Then back home and change out the front gear oil. Then probably a last 'once over' to check everything. Not sure when they are coming down from Colorado to pick it up.

Don, have some fun out doing the cedarcide, but be careful!

Drew, good luck with the painting. Are you going to supervise from the comfort of the hot tub?

BEF, that looks like a very nice property. Like the fact of the road being more 'private' than the other.

Rich, the wire harness looks better already!

Wng, anytime you want to come out, I have a 10,500' mountain about 18 miles from the house. Many challenging trails for sure! Or you could head a little further out to the Continental Divide.....

Time to head out, everyone have a great day!

Good Morning!!!! 64F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 86F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
Shortly after I posted yesterday morning I heard rain on the roof, but not enough to register any accumulation. Heard it again just before two in the afternoon, and this time we got 0.05", just enough to dampen the dust in the driveway, but not enough to really soak it in. I'm hoping these cool temperatures stick around for a while, and we get more rain in the near future.

Nice, neat job on the wiring, Rich. I'm not much of a fan of that split loom stuff, but I still use it, especially when there's not enough room to wind cloth tape around the bundle.

Swapped the battery out of the big touring bike and into the zebra dual sport yesterday. Headed up to see a buddy in Klamath Falls tomorrow, then on up to a little town north of there for an Airhead club campout. Looks like the weather will be cool enough to get back into the leathers, a sure sign Fall is coming.

A package arrived yesterday containing not one, but two, engine management units for the van. One looks like the one I sent in for repairs, but I've never seen the other one before. Maybe it's to make up for the one I sent them and they said couldn't be repaired? Or this latest one couldn't be repaired and they sent a replacement? I'll have to guess because there was no note explaining what they'd done, and I wasn't in the mood to mess with it last night.

Pretty sunset last night with all the clouds the storm left behind.

What I did enjoy last night was to watch a documentary called The Water of Life, which chronicaled the revival of Single Malt Scotch Whisky that started back in the '80s. Lots of familiar names, several of which I couldn't help sampling while I was watching...🥃🤪

I remember the lot we looked at north of Myersville about 30 yrs ago. Straight up a very steep hill, then nice once you got up there. I was wondering what it would be like in the winter. I could imagine sliding down that hill. We drove up the drive and parked next to the for sale sign and walked around. Then the neighbor came out to tell us that was his drive, and we would have to build a new one straight up that hill, next to his.

We passed on that one, but was a nice view.

Had friends that used to live near Rt 40 and the AT. I’d go there and we would hike the AT.

70°F and 1.03 inches rain. Light showers forecast.

Need to make a trash run today, along with the PO run I missed yesterday. By the time I thought to go it would have been closed before I could get there. Need to make a town run as well, Sophie wants to pick up a birthday cake for neighbor. Trip to HD as I need a 3/16 SDS masonry bit.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Yes there are some lots in this area that have very steep slopes along the South Mountain area. We are mostly flat with some smaller slopes down to a meadow area with a creek running through it and bordering up to

I don’t care for the split polyethylene loom either. But this is accumulation of oddball stuff I ended up with from my working life projects. Plus, this is a temporary harness to use as a pattern.

Holley Fuel Systems sells a nice split loom woven material for their fuel injection systems. I will use that for the final harness.

But, after I was done, the current loom doesn’t look bad and protects the harness.

63F and cloudy @ 14:15, with a slight chance of a rain shower. Heading up to a high of around 69F. Low 57F this morning, LWS reports 0.04" of rain since midnight.

Ten Day forecast still looking outstanding.

Temp inside the house was down to 71F so Woman asked me to turn on the heat, now complaining it's too hot ...

Got cool enough yesterday evening that I came inside and swapped out the cut-offs for a pair of jeans and threw on a long-sleeved shirt over the t-shirt. That will be probably be today's outfit as well.

Plans for the rest of the afternoon:

Finish screening clay and get it moved down to the barn.

Refuel Cub and get started on the mowing out front.

Maybe get a hair cut later.

Sun making an effort to peak out now.

Woman just reported whole-house central vac stopped so need to go check that out.

Hope everyone is having a great day ... (y)

ran out of energy, but enough to read some instructions.
I got this idea from Ron interestingly.
bought a bidet seat.
this one has unlimited hot water and was medium priced. Toto seems to own this market.
pics to follow. Probably need some plumbing hardware tomorrow to pick up, assume there are y connectors to install.
at the risk of TMI...............hand locks up from arthritis at times, makes certain cleaning activities very hard.
And with the hot tub, really want to be extra clean before I go in it.
