too wet to mow, fog still burning off
that bush sure has a bunch of spiders in it
tough landing zone for bugs

Ted, don't forget pics of new flowers. Even if it only grew weeds, glad you got some rain
Hope Ken is having fun wherever he is. Might be someplace exotic.

thankfully remembered to call insurance agent and get golf cart covered. Off road use, should be pretty cheap.
Not fast, my friends in Tampa said they had to get a faster cart because little old ladies were passing them by.
I bet Don has some fun stories.

Good Morning!!!! 74F @ 6:15AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 103F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
Hot is the word for today, and the rest of the week...

Gotta hit the road, might not have cell service most of the rest of the weekend. Hope everyone has a good time off...

65°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 92° today.

Going to be near 100° tomorrow, and The Wife wants to go kayaking. Not so sure about that just yet, as there is also a chance for some storms tomorrow. I guess we'll see. I'm also going to need to get some grass cut sometime this weekend. Even with almost no rain, it's still grown over the last two weeks.

Nothing wrong with earning brownie points when you can, Thomas. I emptied the dishwasher last night. 😁

Good morning, gents.

Just remember, one “Oh crap” erases all your brownie points.

Decided to work from home again. It’s Friday, hallelujah.

lawn garden tractor salvage yard

a walk through the boneyard, a favorite adventure of mine Thomas.
All that history, lot of rusty junk surrounded by a few treasures.
and if you're lucky some stuff you've never seen before
Couldn't have said it any better...still looking for Power King 68-74 in fair condition.

Good morning to all! Low was 56°, going up to around 85°, pertly cloudy. An outside chance of T-storms later. .....doubtful. Storm / rain chances increasing over the weekend.

The wind kicked up a bit last night, again woke me up. Not crazy wind, but enough to make things "go bump in the night", so laid there trying to figure out what each noise was..... needless to say, dragging already this morning and I just got up! It's still breezy, but at least no dust / dirt due to the moisture.

Kyle, bummer about the daughter's car overheating. Hopefully an easy fix. Hot oil changes.... nope not going to do one, not going to work on any hot engine.

Drew, have a safe trip, enjoy the time at the cabin and the new cart!

Ken, enjoy your trip too! Thanks for sharing the pic!

BEF, that's funny... but unfortunately true... must be the son of the woman that I was behind in line the other day.... I think I would rather take my chances giving PJ a hand with the 4 legged avon ladies.....

I'm still going to try and get the drippers swapped out. Found a place to transplant a couple of rhododendron out of their containers. Still need to move some more materials back to the staging / storage area. And, still have the picket fence project in the backyard. Not sure what I'll get to do before calling it quits....

Everyone have a great day!

No tractor boneyards around here.... not really any more car junkyards either. There used to be around 10-12 down in Albuquerque, now down to 2-3. Most couldn't compete with one called U-Pull-It.... flat rates, cheap prices, doesn't matter what car it came off.

Typical example: we got 3 1/2 sets of the window channels off of a Jeep cherokee and an overhead console / speaker bar --- cost: $45.
Went to another junkyard about 3 blocks away to get the remaining 1/2 set of window channel --- $45..... kinda price gouging

"No tractor boneyards around here.... not really any more car junkyards either."

Sadly those days almost dust in the wind :(

79F and sunny @ 11:00, heading up to a high of around 85F - 86F. Winds out of the NNW @ 5 to 10 mph, DP 47F, humidity 36F ... so likely to be fairly pleasant out there today.

Hopper feeder due to be refilled, also a couple of suet feeders.

Plants in front likely due to be watered at some point today, will probably transfer another batch of them to around back into that 3rd wading pool.

Clean out chipmunk trap in front, refill and rebait. Probably see about setting up the second one somewhere.

Move plants in garage out front.

Finish up planting those Yellow Crookneck squash, possibly later when I have shade.

More mulching up around the maple tree behind the shop.

Grass is continuing to grow but more slowly, probably mow tomorrow when it is supposed to be over 90F for the high.

Hope everyone has a great TGIF !!! ... (y)

Junkyards around here always seemed like they just made up a price on the spot. Even the newer U-Pick-It place does that.

67°F and no rain.

Missed the PO window yesterday (closed at 11AM) so that is a must do this morning

Guys lost H&F, but a pleasant game where the gals didn’t totally overwhelm us

The Thai Coconut Chicken curry was very good.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

set a personal best at supermarket paying for 7 one pound strip steaks, then bought two more big tbones for folks who own the new home I'm staying in, all by myself on 250 acres of woods.
Will put those tbones in their freezer. If freezer is off....hmmmm, might have to take them to cabin and cook them too. Those woods will be like driving by
a Burger King for the animals, all the roasting beef fat, yum

Also got three pounds of fresh steamed shrimp. And two big jars of Kelchners cocktail sauce.

am always happy to bring food to them; they are such good cooks that I know I'll get something really good back.
Strip steaks aren't my first choice but that was his call. Might have been worried about fitting them on old charcoal kettle stove.
I can only eat half a steak, but right off a charcoal grill, extra yum.

miles to go before I sleep
