Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 7:00AM. Plenty of sunshine. High 79F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.
Beautiful photo, David. It's gotten to the point that my best camera is in the phone.
That rest area looks more like something you'd find on someone's patio, Don.
I bought the last set of Michelins from Costco, Drew. I haven't been impressed with their service. I wasted hours waiting on them to fix a flat once, then this last time for tire rotation, they refused to do it because the tires were seven years old and "out of warranty". What's that got to do with free promised work? To do it right, not only should the wheel weights be removed, but the beads on the rim should be scrubbed clean, too. I wouldn't trust Costco to do either.
Yesterday started with popping out a few stumps with the dozer, one of which had been particularly resistant to my efforts with the tractor. The root ball on the darn thing was about 3'x3'x6', and it even took a while with the dozer before it came out. The he moved on to clearing the ground north and east of the driveway, and managed to make a fairly wide swath all the way to the property line. That generated so many downed trees that I fell far behind getting them moved to a holding area with the tractor/grapple, and until I make room, there's no more space to collect the debris. So the operator will not be here until 10AM today, and I need to get on my little tractor and move some wood!
Meantime, here's a panorama shot I made from the driveway looking down the hill where the dozer was working. I'll try to get another one today showing progress.
Only problem yesterday was the FEL control becoming almost impossible to move. I took the dust boots off the mechanism and gave it a healthy spray of lithium grease, and that made it happy again. But in the process of getting to the boots, I pulled a wire out of the port forward switch, and have that hard wired and taped until I can get a new one.
Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!
