Good morning!!!!

Good morning, low temp is 27 and the high to 37°F. Wind NW 11 mph. Sunny!
Bye, bye snow. Hello mud.

There is nothing 'pressing' for me today, so I will conserve energy.

I have found with house cats that they will sort out the 'pecking order' themselves and eventually all get along. No need for hooman intervention except for feeding and watering.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning.
41 and not a cloud in the sky. Supposed to pass 60 this afternoon.

Yesterday was yet another lazy day. Other than loading bags of feed into the barn, I didn’t do much around here. I made a trip to the restaurant to deal with the background music system. It uses a 70v distribution system for the speakers, they replaced the amplifier with one that only had low impedance outputs and wondered why it didn’t work. Fortunately, I had an amp with 70v output here, so got them up and running.

Looks like today will start with a random drug and alcohol test, I won the lottery (again). Last time I sat for 3 hours in urgent care waiting for them to get to me. I hope this is not a repeat.

47°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 76° today. Nice today, then rain for the next three days, clearing up just in time for the weekend.

Any day washing the tractor is a good day, Helogabals.

Morning all, sun is up 43 going to 62.
Rain did not happen Saturday until pretty late, so the drive was not too bad.
2:45 there 3:15 back.
Lots of running boxes up stairs, to storage facility, garbage to curb.

Glad I could help as brother is not all that well with a bad knee, and a respiratory infection.
Hard to see him so worn out.

The area he is moving from is an isthmus with one road in, water on both sides. So in bad weather they always get cut off from the mainland.

This was formerly a community of airline pilots back when they used to make much more compared to the rest of the jobs. Lots of houses that could have indoor racetracks now, All the big ones face the water.

Two large parks and a few small ones, used to bike up their from my dad's house as a kid.

Part of the old Gold Coast of Long Island. Still many of the smaller mansions left.
The larger ones all fell by the wayside when Income taxes started in the 1920's

I was able to see one of the left over estates, which only had the servants quarters left.
It was 110 rooms!

Lots of history from the late 1600's and Whaling/fisheries on LI. The Cold Spring Harbor fish hatchery is still there and very active. An old high school friend of mine used to run it.

Stay safe and be well,

I do not need slotted and drilled rotors and a Brembo badge. But a rotor that resisted rust would sure be nice.
If it's a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, Drew, isn't that all covered under warranty such that any replacement parts would be factory original?

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 7:00AM. Plenty of sunshine. High 79F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Beautiful photo, David. It's gotten to the point that my best camera is in the phone.

That rest area looks more like something you'd find on someone's patio, Don.

I bought the last set of Michelins from Costco, Drew. I haven't been impressed with their service. I wasted hours waiting on them to fix a flat once, then this last time for tire rotation, they refused to do it because the tires were seven years old and "out of warranty". What's that got to do with free promised work? To do it right, not only should the wheel weights be removed, but the beads on the rim should be scrubbed clean, too. I wouldn't trust Costco to do either.

Yesterday started with popping out a few stumps with the dozer, one of which had been particularly resistant to my efforts with the tractor. The root ball on the darn thing was about 3'x3'x6', and it even took a while with the dozer before it came out. The he moved on to clearing the ground north and east of the driveway, and managed to make a fairly wide swath all the way to the property line. That generated so many downed trees that I fell far behind getting them moved to a holding area with the tractor/grapple, and until I make room, there's no more space to collect the debris. So the operator will not be here until 10AM today, and I need to get on my little tractor and move some wood!

Meantime, here's a panorama shot I made from the driveway looking down the hill where the dozer was working. I'll try to get another one today showing progress.

Only problem yesterday was the FEL control becoming almost impossible to move. I took the dust boots off the mechanism and gave it a healthy spray of lithium grease, and that made it happy again. But in the process of getting to the boots, I pulled a wire out of the port forward switch, and have that hard wired and taped until I can get a new one.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!

I'm pretty sure brake pads and rotors come under "wear" items, like windshield wipers. I'll let you know what they say.
I believe my Audi required the rotors to be replaced with the pads.

good visit to oncologist, he said I was looking fine. (y)

went food shopping, checker who has learning disability put heavy bottles on top of tomatoes and bread. Sigh.
He does it consistently so I have to try to avoid him.

lovely day out, going to change into jeans and go plant some pansies I impulse bought at supermarket this morning.

It's snowing right now. So far, nothing sticking. Welcome to mid-March in the Inland NW.

36 early, 58 now and headed to upper 60’s.

Diesel fuel is down $.82 from last week thanks to somewhat lower oil prices and Maryland pausing the $.37/gal road tax. But it’s still over a dollar more than last year.
I have to fill all my gas jugs, I have diesel I bought in tug fall that will last into summer. For the tractor not the Jeep. I really don’t drive it much though, still got half a tank that I bought five weeks ago.

Plan for today is put on the land plane and dress the clam shells.

Good morning to all! Low was 35°, heading for mid 60's again. Partly cloudy now, but should pack in later this afternoon with a good chance for showers in the evening and overnight.

I'm not planning on doing much today, just relax the back muscles.... better this morning by far, but still a little "glitch", depending on how I move. Knee back to 'normal' complaining.....

RNG, took me a while to find the dozer in the pic.... nice to see that it is greening up a little bit.

The buds on the trees are swelling, but nothing has popped yet except for a few emerging perennials. Another couple of weeks and I'll get the pond / fountain going.

Drew, hope the dealer takes care of the issues for you. I think you are correct about being a "wear item", but maybe they will do the right thing, being you just purchased it.

Kyle, hope you can get the repair done on the cylinder without too much hassle. Sorry to hear about the job worries.

I'm gonna try and get a quick nap in..... had a restless night last night.

Everyone have a great start to the week!
