Not snowing yet, but I expect after I go back to bed and get up at 0500, I'll be seeing something
The good news is that EGO snowblower I purchased was delivered at the local ACE hardware store. I'll call first to ensure the e-mail notification is correct...if so, I'll pick it up about 0830-0900.
It would be nice to see if it works as advertised. And this snow looks like a good opportunity.

So far, I've only bought one EGO product I've regretted...and that was my mistake, not the product. The item is a backpack leaf blower. Works OK, if one gets out and starts before the leaf accumulation gets wet...and, I use the mower to mulch the leaves much more than I ever used a leaf blower. One of my impulse purchases... Reckon I should sell the damn thing

Up early to pee also. Can’t tell how much ice we got, but a semi just went by the house so roads must not be bad. At least they are getting stuff to market.

31.6° , down from the high of 31.8° so far. Going up to 50 later today, and radar looks like we are done getting stuff tonight.

Good morning, low 5 high 18°F. Wind ENE 13 gusting to 21 mph. 40% chance of snow.

I was up to p at 02:30 hrs too. Stayed up and finished off a movie I started last night.

The neighbour woman called at 3 P.M. yesterday complaining that she was stuck. Go out and fire up the tractor and off I go. Get there and hook up the chain and asked her if the Blazer she was driving was 4 wheel drive. Yes she says, I never thought of putting it into 4 wd. I pulled her back off the ice she was sitting on and before I stopped pulling her she stomped on the brakes and I continued pulling her anyway. Maybe next time (there will be a 'next time') she will use 4 wd BEFORE calling me.

If it doesn't snow today, then I will have a power nap.

14 right now...high in the low 20's today. Moderate snow right now and a little less than half-inch accumulation. Forecast is still for 9-10 inches before it's done.
My earlier post at 0237 lists my primary chore for this morning...
As far as clearing the snow, I'll keep the walks and deck fairly clear...the drive can wait until the storm winds down

Wife's getting around pretty good, so I reckon I can start actually going to work. I am going to ask my manager if I can work 2-3 days from home since the drive in is 50 miles and I don't expect fuel prices will be going down for some time...quite the opposite, I expect, with what's going on in the Ukraine

Had fun watching chipmunk mating rituals on out front porch yesterday...looks like we may have babies to watch in about 2.5 months.

Brought firewood onto the porch yesterday...just used a wheelbarrow rather than getting the tractor out in the sprinkles...by the 4th trip of about 60 yards slightly uphill, was thinking maybe I should have used the tractor.

Did a dump run, and refilled the diesel container and filled up the truck. Guy next to me was filling up two 55 gallon barrels. I think those of us that got caught by the hacking of the Colonial Pipeline a year ago are a bit nervous...I was stuck in Virginia Beach for an extra day since there were no stations with gas...there were no lines at that point because they were all shut down. Next morning about 4am I found out about a tanker truck that had made its way down from the west somewhere, and headed to the Wawa station, where I went. Hope we don't see that again.
