29° and that's where it's going to stay all day. Looks like a good 8" of snow. I haven't been out but looking at the accumulation on the deck railing. Still a fine snow steadily coming down.
Too early to go out now...I'll plug the tractor in around 0500 and get outside around 0600. I actually like snow blowing early (0400) but it'll wake my wife and, especially Margeaux (who's a sweetie, but barks at almost everything, including falling leaves, birds and squirrels.
Margeaux, who is primarily Great Pyrenees, really enjoys the snow. If only I could focus all that energy into snow shoveling!!

Added:
After clearing the snow, which should take an hour plus a bit (driveway, walks and part of the back deck), nothing else planned...just help the wifey out. Looking outside again, the snow is really got some branches hanging low and has stuck to the chain link fence...wet snow. If this had been a dryer snow, reckon we'd have gotten closer to a foot. Definitely going to spray anti-stick on the snow blower chutes!

That is a very lonely looking tractor, Roy!

Doug
Glad Lesley isn’t hurt.
You mention scooters, care to share a pic as to what they are?
Yeah, I actually posted elsewhere so might just redirect you David. Link to the Scooter Website.

I have a 2 wheeled one as well I bought for the grandys when they come. I can ride it OK but it's very hard on my hips and back.

8° right now...high about 30 today.
Got to make a run in to work this morning to sign some paperwork. As soon as that's done, I'll be heading back home so stepdaughter can go to work.

Good morning, low temp is 16 and high to 30°F. Wind SSE 9 mph. Periods of snow.

I'm not sure what I will get up to today, so might as well conserve energy.

Have a safe day all

Thanks Doug, those must be awesome.
We are both very happy with them. Been using them for a few days now and batteries are still showing near full. Dogs love them too.
I bought them on a recommendation of a friend who has one. And they are red so they go fast......

Just had word, the electrician and plumber are both coming tomorrow, a day earlier than planned.

Been mowing paddocks on the tractor this afternoon. NOT in the good books. I broke one of her frangipanis when it caught on the ROPS. OOPS!
Also been doing earthworks clean-up around the new barn.
7 meters of gravel coming maybe tomorrow if I'm lucky. Sick of sweeping sand out of the barn from tyre tracks.

Poured first cup of coffee. 27° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 38° with snow flurries in AM. Then some sunshine. I did conserve energy yesterday. Except for meeting my neighbor to exchange small gifts. Gave them a bird feeder. They got me a floor mat for Mule. Nice visit on a kind of gloomy day. I have been watching some old mystery shows on TV. Sassy is eating with no indigestion since Vet visit. Need to rap some gifts for later this week.
Got a chunk of suet.

Alien, glad your wife is OK after fall. Likes using the Scooters.

Don, hope the swelling goes down. Wife left you a good note. Do you have emergency numbers set up on your phone?

Drew, good that people showed up for carol singing. I remember those from when we lived in the city.

David, wish I have a good suggestion for a phone mount. I have one on my bike. But it is made to mount on handlebar.

Buckeye, best wishes your trip home is trouble free. Congrats on your son's graduation. Does he have a job yet?

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

good morning all. Much colder out, 22 degrees only going up to high 30's today.
woke up with headache and neck ache after not sleeping as well as I thought I would. Oh well.
Long hot shower will take care of both.

off this morning to get oncology report, an every six month treat that always makes a cancer survivor a little nervous but
I have a very positive outlook. Then off to lunch with childhood friends, who want to go out to a restaurant. Between the oncology office
and lunch, I'm breaking out one of my unused N95 masks.

Doug, those are seriously cool mobility devices. When I had my farm I could not survive without my golf cart. But yours is way cooler and looks
super comfortable. And being electric it's quiet which is a biggie for me. I like the way you've been asked if you can put a three point hitch on them...
I have a truly collapsed back by now and can't walk more than half an hour. 22 years ago my first ortho said I'd be in a wheelchair in ten years.
Medicine has gotten better, though I now have some titanium in my neck to help out and likely more rods going into lower back.
Funny, with all that back damage rarely had leg pains, no shooting pains down the leg like sciatica. In fact my surgeon won't operate until I have leg pains, which
I found interesting.

many of us have been very active all our lives and seem to have simply worn parts out. I'm at the 100k point and starting to need more parts...

think we ought to get born with two medical devices implanted. One a port for all shots and second a grease zerk at L5. L5 seems to be the most common
back failure point. Food grade grease of course...
