Here are a few pictures of the neighbors snow cat. It's smaller then my Polaris Ranger Crew.
I only drove it a few feet.so I haven't driven it much but I would like to.
It has two transmissions one has five gears and the other one has six gears. Not sure now that works.
It has two sticks for steering.
I got it to start today. She will be back up tomorrow I'll ask her more about. She also has a ten passenger snow cat but I don't think that one is running.

I need to take notes on you characters sometimes for posting. I am getting to the point I can match life stories to the noms de guerre.

I am staying away from posting weather maps here. There are enough weather geeks here it is unnecessary. This early March storm and whatever it brings will strengthen and slow down tracking speed-wise once the energy transfers to the ocean somewhere around the DelMar coast and then starts strengthening and interacting with the Greenland airmass.. Now that one of the local TV ProMets have uttered the word "nor'easter", the hype begins. It really will not be a "classic ride up the eastern CONUS coast and "bomb" around the "40N/70W "benchmark"(Miller A) "nor'easter."

The skies finally cleared and it got up into the 40F's.

Don- Thank you for sharing your knowledge of weaning off meat. I just blamed myself and my lack of "willpower." :embarrassed: Willpower will always be a challenge when it comes to giving up meat and those sausages.

RNG- You are lucky to have hummingbirds this time of year. You are going through quite a lot of sugar. We go through ~ 10#'s of sugar/year; mostly for hummingbird food. A lot of our ruby throated hummingbirds are overwintering in Central America somewhere. An amazing migration. I think there are 8 species in the Cloud/Rain forests in CR some males can get pretty "large" with their tail feathers. I put out the Hummingbird feeders in late April here. Last year we had a downy woodpecker feeding from the feeder; even when the sugar water was almost frozen. They are the only woodpecker that will do that as far as I know.

Randy- Nice work. I bet you have hour outlet plate screws all aligned to vertical

The hummers go through three or four twenty-five pound bags of sugar a year, Jay. I don't touch the stuff myself. Spring and Fall are the busy times when the migrating birds move through. I'll have four feeders out, and the'll slurp through a half gallon in a day. The past few years just one couple would over winter here, but this year it seems like it's about a dozen birds. They're Annas, pretty large as US hummers go, and don't seem bothered at all by the cold. They're also very tame, and will sometimes try to land on the feeders as I'm hanging them. Once the feeder is up, I can stand right next to it and watch them land and eat. Some of the more suspicious ones will orbit my head about six inches away, trying to figure out what's going on with their feeder. That usually doesn't go on for long before two or three immature birds will land and feed, and the curious ones figure out they better get after it or lose their spot.:laughing:

It is a Czech Vari system two wheel tractor. Well, actually, that ad is for the ride on trailer part. Really cool system, really ideal for people who don't have many hills like us. Big downside is that powered attachments are driven by a transmission that creeps along, which I looked through old technical documents, and older versions went faster. Basically, you run in to its limits pretty fast, but for sure for people just wanting to keep up a garden, plant potatoes, get firewood, and cut a bit of hay for a few goats, who live on fairly flat areas, it is plenty sufficient. My Dad had a very similar two wheel tractor back in the 50s, 60s. I think it was a Sears, not not certain. He bought it used. Came with a few garden type implements but his greatest use was a front mounted saw blade. Guessing it was at least 2 ft diameter. In horizontal position used for clearing out scrub and small trees, vertical position for cutting firewood. Probably wouldn’t be legal today as it was a bare blade. A small front mounted blade would push snow, but only if not deep. Might have done better had we had tire chains.

That was my Donzi back in the day, not that kind of picky anymore. I take it when you referred to the Delmar coast, you meant Delmarva, Delmar is The small town, too big for one state.

One of the doctors who lectured (Dr. Klaper) said that lots of people feel worse when trying to eat plant-based and it is a real thing. He said that if you have been eating meat your whole life, your body has a metabolic set for carnitine you get from meat so you don't make your own. It takes 3 to 6 months of withdrawal while your body tries to make its own. He said for people to wean off of meat. If they eat meat every meal, then go to 2 times a day for a couple of weeks, then 1 time a day, then several times a week, etc until weaned off.

Thanks for the info...sounds about right... What I go through. I'll have to try "weaning", see if that works.
