Good afternoon! 50 and partly cloudy.
Backtracked a little today, swelling is up a half inch and the bruising has spread this 5th day after surgery. It wii be a low active day with no increase of angle. The PT said the bruising would continue. The stapled incision does not look infected. Hope to be more active later.

Lunch stop in sevierville TN for lunch break for my son. Very slow drivethur letting me get caught up on TBN. I’m in truck, wife and son in the pilot that my son had at school. A guy just walked out to dump the grease bucket, that just killed my appetite. Wife and I are wanting to eat at a place still an hour away.

Ron, I agree, but it has worked nicely for quite a while. Definitely open to suggestions on replacing it.

Decided to bite the bullet and ordered a new iPhone. Was tempted to order a previous model but a bit surprised the cost margin wasn’t very good. Getting theft and loss protection this time. Rationale is getting flailed could be considered a loss . Of course with protection in place I won’t need it.

Like your work on the Mule, Ron. Looks very nice. I did add mirrors to mine. I do have a hitch and winch, but not done anything with them yet. Keep thinking I’ll want the hydraulic bed lift at some point. Phone situation put that on hold

Lesley had a bad fall yesterday. Tripped over a large rock and landed on her back. I was fairly close by and got to her quickly but apart from being winded and a few grazes she was OK. Helped her get up and I think she realized she had been overdoing things a bit. She had a rest and I convinced her to go for a ride on our new scooters. I gave her a quick run through and off she went. We went down the road a couple of klm and looked at the wild bushes growing along the road and looking for koalas. She loved the scooter and commented that it was way better than horse riding. Now she is a girl that loves horses and has owned a few so that was quite a statement coming from her. She went past the gate on our way home and carried on up the road in the other direction with me following. I think she has found a new love in scooter riding. Hope we can do a lot more of it.

I bought Lesley a refurbished iphone SE. Looked pristine but after about 6 weeks it suddenly went dead and won't charge. Had to give her my iphone SE and I went back to my old iphone 6 which still works well. Have to look for the paperwork and make a warranty claim. It has 12 months warranty.

"Stable & Slip free : Dependents on its soft silicone-textured bottom and sticky pads, it can protect phone against bumping, scratching or flying out whenever there is an emergency braking, sudden stop and sharp turn."

Sounds like they owe you a new phone.

LOL, I suspect their use of the word “car” and not tractor gives them an out.

I shudder a bit reading all your snow sagas. Raining here, so definitely an inside day. Good news is I don’t have to shovel it.

Glad Lesley isn’t hurt.
You mention scooters, care to share a pic as to what they are?

Sounds normal. The bruising made my leg look horrible for awhile, but it did eventually go away.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Thanks. I knew it was coming but still did not expect the intensity.

couple of guys with some serious ouches here. Heal quickly, good time to slow down.

reading my lines. Got roped into reading the second half of the Christmas Story during carol sing tonight.
Outside on the porch, well spaced, 34 degrees out. We test ran it after service this morning and we all froze.
I came home and dug out my flannel lined pants and my insulated winter coat.
And now back to King Herod. The part where the wise men give their gifts to the baby Jesus. Some pretty contorted English
but I'm trying to say it properly. It is truly questionable how many folks will show up and stand outside in this cold windy weather.

Maybe I'll get some infrared heaters for next year...hopefully we will be back inside next year with the whole place lit with candles as it has since 1941.

And maybe we never will, a grim thought. Maybe we are going to be masking for a long time. Every one in church this morning was masked, unless they were speaking.
I wrote a personal email to the ten families with young children, inviting them, mentioning of course the cider and hot chocolate for the kids. It's not the cold so much, these parents
are very wary of social events with their kids. One of the parents declined stating he was grounded for a week since his son was directly exposed at school.
Parents have a hard enough time dealing with the flu.

Thomas and Roy. Glad you got snow. All we got was a light rain and enough of a dusting to cover the grass. Walk and driveway are bare. I was looking forward to a little tractor time. It's going to be to cold here now for the next 7 days with night time temps in the low teens. Day temps in the 30's!
Welcome to winter!

sodamo, shudder some more. There is snow in the forecast for the next 5 days starting with tonight and tomorrow. About 2" but that will change. The weatherman here always understates what we will get.

You guys doing the knee operations make me cringe. I still remember the torture when I laid my knee open in 1958. :(

glad to be sitting down at home. Very fun time at carol sing but I'm tired. I wound up emceeing the event and read the second half of
the Christmas Story. About 34 out, and we cut the program about five songs short as we all were getting cold. At least three families brought their
kids, really a good turnout for a very cold night outside, maybe 25 people total.

First time I had sung in a while, it was fun. Lot of fresh air, going to sleep well tonight.

26° in VA tonight. Long trip today, course my wife and son would switch, while I drove truck the whole way down and back, but I prefer driving over riding. Got off the interstate a little early because of backups.

Hope to sleep in some tomorrow before the final leg home.

Stopped at one light display where they sync Christmas lights flashing with music they broadcast on FM. Lights are on 3 houses and in between. They’ve been doing it for years.
