Poured first cup of coffee. 41° with rain this morning. Heading to 56° with periods of rain. Forgot it was Tuesday yesterday. Grabbed my shopping list and ran over to Sams Club. Got it done. Gas is down to $2.88. After putting things away got back on meter project. It is done an working. Wish I had mounted meters in left side box 90°. But they work and read all the info I want. Picture at bottom of this posting.
Cleanup shop and put tools away today.

Good morning, low 27 high to 37°F. Wind E 15 mph. Freezing rain or rain. They say 2 mm which equals 0.0787402". The trouble comes when you consider that is on top of the ice that is on the driveway now.
I am not planning on doing anything that requires me to be outside.

Energy conservation day today and tomorrow.

Have a safe day all

22° right now...high in the mid-30's, maybe some rain/snow showers. Steady rain later and possibly overnight
First order of business is to get the Tacoma to the shop for mounting the snow tires and a couple other things. Stepdaughter will be following me at about 0800 this morning and bringing me back home...then she goes to work and I start my day of webinars. Much of what I'm seeing should be done (and audited) far above the individual site level...

good morning all
29 going up to 55 today in clouds, near record high of 60 tomorrow.
My forsythia is confused and trying to bloom.

off to church this morning to finish cleaning up the walkway and meeting a landscaper there to get a quote on fill dirt alongside the walkway.
I'm still a little sore from yesterdays hours of kneeling so will be glad to get this done today.

had long chat with Amish shed builder last night, gave him all the specs, said I wanted something as basic as he could make. If he comes back with a 4k price tag
for something that will last 100 years, we will have both wasted our time. Decided on 8x12, which keeps me under the 100 sf limit for avoiding permits.
rubbermaid parts sitting in driveway waiting for pickup this Thursday morning. I got an email confirm from the shipper they were delivering not one but two new sheds to me.
Oh no. Immediately back to them saying STOP, do not deliver sheds, only pick one up. Likely just paperwork, I think they got the fee for two sheds delivery in order to pick up all the parts of one bad one.
Should be interesting.

25 outside this AM, heading to 55 today. Another nice day on tap.

Lights went well. Had to get the drill out to hang them though. Those support beams on the front porch are like concrete. Sore from the overhead work. I am getting bold though, it went so well I am seriously thinking about the second story. LOL.

Nothing on the agenda today. Need to get those game cams....

Get well Buppies.

Hoping all have a great day. Be safe.

Good Morning!!!! 0F @ 4:15AM. Rain. Becoming windy for the afternoon. High 46F. Winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a half an inch.
Only added another quarter inch of rain yesterday morning, and even saw some sun in the afternoon. Best of all, the wind dropped to pleasant levels. This coming storm looks like more of an afternoon and overnight thing, not as much rain and less wind. And still more rain on tap for next week, too. The level of Lake Oroville is finally up to the point that water is rising in the West Branch of the Feather River here below the house. Still over 200' to go to reach full, but I'm pretty sure that from now on they'll be staying 20% below that for flood control reasons.

Greenhouse is looking good, David. Are there flaps or windows to open to keep the temps down in the summer?

Still no sign of the missing hummingbird feeders, so I decided to replace the open hooks they use with split rings from old key rings and carabiners. Had enough of both to modify all eight feeders I have on hand, so installed another four hooks so that I can fill all eight. That'll keep the little monsters from going hungry while I'm away for at least a week.

IMG_8798.jpg

Looks like I lost another live oak to the wind. Little buck is enjoying the tender new leaves at the top, though. And since the root ball came out, I won't have another stump to dig out.

I'll probably spend most of the day inside catching up on some paperwork today. And stoking the wood stove.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

My dad is famous for his Christmas trees from the farm, tops he’d cut off, etc. don’t recall ever having a bought tree growing up. If there is a space in a tree, he’d drill a hole and add a branch. Lol
From reading your posts about him over the years, I've thought of your dad as a real good guy.

Good morning! 45° now, 55° later. There is a chance of some rain. Yesterday was only 51° or so and was very pleasant. And sunny.

Hope it goes well Friday buppies.

Well no machine delivery this week. The truck driver has problems with this trailer and needs parts that are not available. It is the only specialized trailer needed to move the machine available right at the moment. And it is broke. But the funny part of the whole thing is the dealer salesman changed the delivery from early December to this week to game the commission & bonus plans where he works. Since it isn't shipping, he is losing out on commission and bonus. 🤣 Since I think he is a prima donna, I thought this was really funny yesterday.

And another day from last year.

The morning blood draw started the day off. My right elbow was a giant black and blue mess from all the times it had been jabbed for blood. Then the ****** Youth showed up and wreaked their usual destruction on my bed and table. Waited and checked the iPad, no joy, the blockage was still there.

With getting some nutrients, I actually did feel better. My stomach and intestines were doing some rumbling.

This was my birthday last year. The nurses all wished me a Happy Birthday, my wife called and wished me a Happy Birthday. It wasn't a happy birthday, I was stuck in the hospital. In hindsight, it could have been worse, I could have been 6' under. Kandi & Mikaela gave me a birthday present, an extra cup of water & ice. I made some smart @ss remark, Kandi told me I must be feeling better, I was starting to be a smart @ss. She laughed.

I am friends with a pro motorcycle racer. A year ago, I just figured he thought I was an annoying fan. He sent me a text message wishing me a Happy Birthday fairly early in the morning. He also commented on how quiet I had been for the past month or so. Initially I didn't answer him since it was somewhat of downer day that the blockage was still the same size. Finally answered with a cryptic message that I had Covid and was in the hospital. That started a series of text messages from him that would last well into the New Year. Usually multiple times a day checking on how I was doing, did I need anything, etc. It really changed my perception of him. And made me realize there are people that care that are not in a close circle to you. He reads stuff on ADV, so he may see this.

Pulmonary took me off oxygen for most the day. I was able to maintain better than 96% BOL, even during the physical therapy session when I made a couple of laps of the room with the walker. The oxygen was turned on a very low flow rate for the night.

Before she left, Kandi told me she was working a short schedule for the week. And she wanted my opinion of the nurse that was going to take care of me Thursday & Friday. I found it odd, but told her I would. Seems Kandi was a fairly senior nurse and had some supervisory responsibilities.

Everyone stay out there!

Was cold enough to freeze the bird baths last night but warmed up before sunrise to thaw them some...now 42 going to 57.

Don, good news you got that knee taken care of...cedarcide before you know it!

Buppies, "when it rains it pours." Prayers for better health.

Sodamo, greenhouse looking real nice. Fresh coffee and macadamias if I was planting. 😁 Hope things go well with Sophie.

Drove down to visit with my mom...She's still so sharp and well for 90. We went walking around the Virginia Beach Farmers Market and Amish Furniture and Mennonite Bakery shop. Found a near perfect dining room table...live edge walnut with a meandering stream of river pebbles down the middle covered by glass to make it level with the wood...only problem with it was the little tag that said $5.5K. It was certainly created by a master, and likely worth every penny. My wife and mom had shrimp and corn chowder at the Princess Anne County Grill. I tasted and was impressed.

Good Morning
It’s 35 and likely will top 50 with slight chance of rain later in the day.

Yesterday went by pretty quickly, after breakfast replaced a headlight for my daughter, got a rear wiper blade for the Prius while I was at Advance Auto. The clerk asked me if I wanted him to install it. Part of me wanted to be insulted, but the reality is that from his side of the counter I probably appeared to just be another confused old person. So I said sure, and he told me about his ‘68 390 Mustang while he did it.

Spent the rest of the day in front of a computer working on FAA stuff. Today will be a continuation of that. Not much to do outside until the ground freezes or dries out so I can use my new grapple and chainsaw to clean up fallen trees.

56°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 70° today. Wind warning for later today, expecting gusts up around 50mph.

Stayed up way too late last night playing around in the studio. Going to be a long day today.

Wife is celebrating the 25th anniversary of her 29th birthday today.

Nice work on the meters, Ron. The output side will help keep your neck limber.
