Ron, I passed a bright red C8 yesterday, what a great sports car. Looked like he was a local guy out for a ride on back roads.
hard enough to get in one, not sure I could climb out of it.
But boy would I like to drive one...
However what I found with my brother's german muscle car, hard to even use the accelerator with all that power on roads with 35 and 45mph limits.
Have to drive a ways just to find a high speed road.
Like Route 202 to Flemington NJ. Comes in at the toll bridge here in New Hope.
Many years ago I took my brother's second in a long line of Corvettes out that road, by myself, he didn't like high speeds at all, and after checking the tires, got a black C5 I think up
to 130 on a super long straightaway. Today a Honda Accord can do that... and there's way too much radar on that road today to play autobahn. But it's a really big road
with not a lot of traffic on it most of the time. Tempting. However I owned our little town's insurance agency for too long to be hooning around with anything here. And NJ DOT has
reciprocity with PA. Sigh.
Can't go over the river and just have fun, and pay the ticket. You car insurance company runs your MVR at least every two years. Because of the population density here, NY, NJ and PA and likely DE too all have linked DOT's, squealing on you to your home state. Sometimes only for reckless and DUI, sometimes for everything. I'm glad about the DUI part, should be a national database. Impaired drivers are bad news, swerving all over the road and way worse, running red lights and t-boning you at high speeds in the intersection. Amazing number of those accidents being video cammed and put on Youtube. Really makes me wary of intersections.
Roy, good luck with getting your snow tires on, it's late for you. But then not like you haven't been seriously distracted, and overloaded. You'll feel better once they are on. Don't fall asleep in webinar...
