good morning all and Happy Thanksgiving.
A good time to reflect on life and be grateful for what we have.

30 going up to 56 today in clouds, then rain comes in tonight into tomorrow morning.

This morning I put up my inside xmas tree, decorate it and putter until I go over to family for dinner later on today.

David, happy birthday and many, many more.

when can we turn on xmas lights? Tonight? Tomorrow night? A month ago...

For those of you lucky enough to still have parents around, good time to check on them. Holidays can be tough times for
older folks.

Two weeks after I put in the early order for citrus gift boxes sent to family, I get an email saying no presents this year, then
complaints I "broke the covenant", which is nonsense since they announced their Scroogey behavior too late.
Next year I intend to wrap up a piece of coal and mail it to them. That's what my father always warned us about, coal for Christmas
if we weren't good. We were good.

Hope you all have a nice day with family.

Good morning, low temp 37 and high today 37°F. Wind SSE 7 mph. periods of rain/snow. Raining now.

Speaking of electricians not doing their jobs, the lady across the street has all electric house and the electrician she hired to rewire the house piggy backed the bathroom heaters together. A huge NO,NO up here. They have to be run through a junction box IF you want both on the same circuit (which is another no,no and better if they were both on a separate circuit.)

A town run today and get some gas into the Dodge.($1.499/L = $5.666/US gallon for the cheap stuff in Canuck bucks). I am only going to drop 20 bux in it.

Belated Happy Birthday TXDon.

Have a safe & Happy Thanksgiving all

Good morning! Happy Thanksgiving!

A dry cold front just blew in and just dropped the temp from 60˚F to 56˚ and falling with 20mph North winds. Temp range today will be between 52˚ and 60˚. Tomorrow we will have upper 30s for the low.

No big plans for today as we have been celebrating early and often - one Thanksgiving was Saturday with all of my wife's family present - 29 people and Tuesday at Mom's with all 7 of us there.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning! 43 now. Looks like pretty stable temperatures all day. Rain is not far off.

Going to my step sister’s for Thanksgiving. The family will be there in force. My dad is 90, he still won’t like turkey! They are giving me a break on doing smoke and fried turkey’s this year. It has been 2 years since I have made a turkey period.

Just did a bunch of little stuff yesterday. Which was fine. Did buy the hitch hauler. Guy had used it like once. Gonna work great on the back of the tractor for hauling the saw/wood cutting supplies, feed, etc.

Really looking forward to today. One year ago, I was pretty much stuck on the couch. I barely ate anything for breakfast, even tho we couldn’t go anywhere, my wife made a Thanksgiving me for us. I barely ate anything. I had trouble chewing the turkey due to lack of taste and lack of appetite. We didn’t know that the Covid had wreaked havoc on my GI tract and I was much sicker than anyone thought. Was till coughing, no energy, etc. it wasn’t a good day at all. TV was on, but don’t remember a single thing we watched. I even stopped playing ”The Daily Challenge” in solitaire since I had so little energy and was having issues focusing. Did do my daily update with Cleveland Clinic. The response was I had not changed from the day before.

My wife still jokes about how last years Turkey became the first time she ate an entire turkey herself. Over the next couple of weeks while she was sick/ quarantined, she ate a lot of turkey.

Everyone enjoy your day!

And stay safe out there

I stepped outside this morning about 4 a.m. to find a very pleasant 54 dry degrees. The 20-30% chance of rain didn't happen. But then around 6 a.m., a 35 mph north wind arrived and by 7 a.m. that pleasant 54 degrees had turned into a chilly and windy 45 degrees.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
We hope that everyone has a great time with family and enjoy a good meal.

Happy belated birthday to David! That was an expensive gift to yourself.....

Low was 24, going up to 47. We did get a brief sprinkle yesterday, only about a 100th of an inch. The weather guesser on the TV last night said no more precip in the forecast for the next 2 weeks. Our last rain (.25") was back in Sept. It is really getting dry again.

The middle son and and 3 of our grandsons will be eating dinner with us. Youngest son, his wife and daughter are doing their own thing, but may come over for desert later. Our daughter, MIL, and remaining grandkids are staying up in Colorado. It's the first Thanksgiving that we won't all be together.... it will be strange.

Last evening, all of a sudden, I got a sharp pain on the side of my knee.... really sharp stabbing pain when I tried to stand / walk. It lasted for about 20 minute, then just went away as fast as it started. I didn't do anything but go to the grocery store yesterday, so have no clue as to what caused it.....

Not much progress on the sofa table. I have the boards cut to size and run through the planer. Next up will be predrilling the holes and then sanding begins. That is the only part of woodworking that I don't enjoy.... sanding. Seems like it is never-ending, after all the time and effort put into it, there are still only pieces of wood laying there.....

Gonna get started helping the wifey with the KP duties. We are going to watch the Macy's parade on TV while prepping, then the National Dog Show.

Hope everyone's day is enjoyable!
