good morning all
too early to be up, but coffee is helping
Still full from yesterday and was sent home with two big tupperwares of leftovers. All good.

light rain last night, .07 on the gauge, some more on and off showers today with high of 45.

today I trim the tree inside and wait for a stepbrother to stop by for a visit, he is up from VA. We will drive over to one of the local orchards,
assuming they are open, and get some apples together.

I appreciate the offer on help tomorrow Ken but until I know they sent me the right pieces, I really don't want to waste your time.
Now if you wanted to stop by for some coffee and figure out how to start my fancy inop snowblower, would love to see you.
And I'll send you home with some apples too. Paul is likely flying some place tomorrow but he is sure invited too.

Alien, you are having too much fun. Looks great.

Coffee is done brewing. 25° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 32° with some sunny skies in PM. Had a good Thanksgiving Day. Not much left overs. Packaged them up sent home with GS. Nothing has caught my eye that I will be going to be shopping for today. Will get Christmas tree out of storage and put it up. That should be enough for today.
Not many squirrels at my feeders this year. Must be enough food from other sources.

Hope everyone as good a Thanksgiving Day as I did.
Only disappointment I had was the Detroit parade I recorded was more commercials than parade. Out of 3 hours of recording there was maybe 30 minutes of parade.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

more commercials than parade
Ron, that's why I stopped watching regular tv over ten years ago.
even more aggravating is having the same dumb ad repeat itself over and over.

I was wondering if Alien was going to put some gravel in front of that barn. I think that car has about four inches
of clearance.

44 going to 48 and windy later.

Don, hope your cat improves...the heated bed is a good idea. Nice sunset colors on your trees.

Finished rebuilding one of my corn holes in time for the holidays. The other is gonna need a rebuild soon.

Had a nice day yesterday...was also our 43rd anniversary.

speaking of low hanging cars, made me wonder who has had the car that scraped the road the most.
Growing up my older brother worked on clapped out Austin Healey 100-4s in the barn garage, nothing like the smell
of Girling brake fluid in the morning. And that car had an exhaust system that must have hung down more than normal because
he had to fix it several times. Here's a pic of the same car after it "grew up" into a model 3000. A very pretty car IMHO.
But look at that muffler. And that's best case. I can remember a Sunday afternoon where a beautiful BRG 3000 was parked on the side of the road
with a guy trying to reach underneath, right past our very bumpy train tracks on Aquetong Road. You know, the kind of train tracks where you have to slow down
seriously as there is a big drop just past the tracks.

Maybe I should change my plans for today. Looked at tomorrow's weather. It's forcast for Snow. I have not done anything getting tractor ready for winter. Plus shovels and ice melter are still in barn.

33° right now...high in the mid-upper 30's. Just read the bridges on I-89 are pretty slick....stepdaughter works today, so I'll pass on that info.
We also got our first "WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY" of the season. 2-7 inches predicted. I expect, if we get anything, it'll be at the lower end of the forecasted accumulation. I'd be OK with 5-7 inches...

Drew, those big Healy's were a ball...drove a couple way back when. When we returned from our West-Pac (Vietnam) cruise, I went to buy a sportscar. The two I looked at was one of those Healy 3000 and a Jaguar E-Type. I went with the Jag. Considering all the horror stiries about British cars (mostly due to electrical issues), the Jag was pretty reliable. Kept it for 5-6 years, IIRC

All, take care today!!

Gray2 got his Christmas present early this year. It’s a heated cat bed. He is eating less every day and getting weak. We are spoon feeding him but he has lost his appetite. He is 16 years old.
Special prayer for Gray2.

Heaps of clearance underneath. The splitter skirt at the front is what you have to be careful of. I have to fix a irrigation pipe before I can put gravel down. All in the plans. Better photo when the light improves. At least the Pony won't get stung by hail now. That is a worry with all the strange storms we are getting at the moment.

46 outside, maybe the high for today. Cold front moving through...now.

Need to go out food shopping for the family get together next week.

Yesterday was me and the SO. First ever just me and her. I made spaghettis and biscuits after a day of cleaning out a building in prep work for cleaning out the milkhouse in prep work for renovation. LOL. In other words, I moved a lot of junk around and into the back of the pickup truck for a haul to the dump.

Hope those who are ailing, find strength to get better.

Have a good weekend, and be safe,

By the way, a couple recommendations for some of you (both based upon personal experience):

If you have a dark hallway or room:
I bought 5 of these. 3 are strategically located around the house. Still have 2 to locate. They're pretty bright and have 2 settings:
  • Motion-Activated – Detected motion activates the 40-lumen night light up to 25 feet away in low light conditions and the light turns off automatically after 90 seconds of no motion
  • Motion-Boost – Night light automatically turns on at dusk at a low 3 lumens, boosts to 40 lumens when motion is detected from up to 25ft. away, and automatically dims back to 3 lumens after 90 seconds of no motion
They work well, so I can recommend them...

The other is a heated jacket:

First one I got didn't heat too well, so I requested a replacement which seems to work as advertised
