Good morning!!!!

Good morning (well evening anyway)..... apparently my post this morning is lost somewhere in the cloud....

The low this morning was at 34, high only reached 62. The wind persisted throughout all of last night.... the strongest gust was at 01:44, 51mph. Woke me up and kept me awake until 04:00, when it slowed to 20-25 mph.

This morning, it was just breezy, but by 11:00, the wind was back with a vengeance. A gust of 64 was recorded this afternoon. I am hoping the weather guessers are correct and the wind subsides as predicted.

Mostly, yes I was able to get that last corner trim done. As I was packing up the tools, the wind really picked up. Got it done just under the wire!

Today picked up 4 - 2x4s to remake the shed doors, also a couple of boxes of pneumatic nails, and a gallon of builders grade paint..... $97.... the boxes of nails tripled in price! Things have gotten expensive. At least the 2x4s were back down in price....only $4.15

By the time I got home, it was time to pick up the 2 grandsons (early dismissal). Then got just over an hour out in the shop cutting the pieces for the doors. The knee started complaining, so called it quits. Tomorrow is another day.

I hope everyone had a great day!

Just stepped outside to move the pressure washer into the garage.

It’s spitting snow … tiny little flakes … but snow nonetheless …

While I have the cladding off the house I have fitted 3 new windows and have ordered 4 more and a sliding door. Plumbing was done. Just waiting for the electrician to finish before I refit the cladding.
The old windows were silver and getting worn after 60 years. New external insulated cladding is going over the top of the green cladding.

55 degrees going for 70 with a 20 to 30 mph breeze today. The little front that went through here yesterday gave me about a 1 minute breeze (literally, or probably even less than 1 full minute), then an almost dead calm with a very slow but steady or continuous rain (well, a sprinkle anyway). I had just gotten up when it started at 3 a.m. and that sprinkling rain lasted until about 9 a.m. So a 6 hour rain put a little less than 3/4 inch of rain in my gauge.

I can't even remember seeing such weather. When it rains here, some ALWAYS blows in on the patio, but not this time.

36° right now...high in the mid-50's today...

Took a "short" nap after giving wifey her lunch...ended up sleeping all afternoon into the early evening. That was a bummer...got nothing done after noonish...
Hopefully, a more alert day today...

Poured first cup of coffee. 46° with mostly cloudy skies. Heading to 60° with mostly cloudy skies. Got Mule washed and PW and hoses put away for winter. Did not go to Sams Club. Roads were wet so I stayed home. Washed car day before. On the list today. Change oil in car today.
Looking for old threads yesterday I came across many old names that I had posted to. Many of them still are active on TBN. But do not post to the area's that I post in. Maybe I should get out to more areas of TBN more.
Keeping an eye on me.

Bird, sounds like Michigan rain.

LS, glad you got trim done before you got blown away.

Alien, different people like different things.

Buckeye, I have a lot of picture problems with both posting and seeing. I use Chrome to see them on iPad.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Mostly gas.
No I don't run extra security because it disables Windows Defender if I do. Apparently it is pretty good now compared to Win 10.

good morning all.
should be a nice day today before rains come in tonight and all day Saturday.
headed out early for annual physical, need to rush back since house guests still here.
I chopped fruit and set out a plate of muffins and bagels to keep them busy until I get home

we had a nice dinner out last night though dodging deer on the way home was not pleasant.
Solebury township has now signed a contract with professional hunters to shoot 1000 deer for
$200k. That's 200 dollars a deer.

hope you all have a nice day; sure hope I get a nap this afternoon. This entertaining is tiring...

45 outside this AM. Heading to upper 60's. Raining moving in for the next few days.

Septic is moving along, excess rock, resurfaced turn around area for driveway. Supposed to get inspected today and then the trucks will show up for dirt work.

Ran out of town yesterday just to get away for a few hours. Went into Skyline Drive for a quick peek but did not come home with anything colorful on the cameras. On the way out, stopped and enjoyed this guy, or gal, sitting at the end my driveway.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

50 going to 67, and sun before the rain comes tonight.

Glad nothing too serious for Makani, but sorry Sophie needs another surgery. She's been through a lot and is lucky to have such a caring husband.

Prayers said for your wife's father, PJ. Sounds serious.

Rip, nice eagle pic...On the way to the local trail I saw one on the ground about 10 yards from the road...was in a hay field that had just been harvested...probably found a juicy vole. Have you ever been to Caledon State Park over on the Potomac east of Fredericksburg? I keep thinking I need to go since there are so many eagle nests there.

Got a long hike done yesterday in the beautiful fall colors and mowed grass for an hour or so. Maybe just one more mowing after tonight's rain gives it one more growth spurt. Still haven't had a ground frost.

...Caledon State Park...

No wng, Have not.

Between Mason Neck and Caledon, those are the two biggest hot spots for sightings of raptors...

I will ask a friend who is a bird-watching disciple. He is not into the raptors but is the walking Britannica of birds.

Good Morning.
It’s 44 high of 65 forecast. Looks like a decent day.

Yesterday was a slow day, but I kept busy, greased the loader and tractor, checked all the fluids on all the machinery, still need to grease the Progressive mower.

The training that was supposed to do yesterday will happen today, that will consume the whole day. I’m not sure if I prefer the role of instructor or student.

Looks like I’ll be headed to Vero Beach tomorrow morning.

Good morning, the low was 40 and the high should go to 52°F. Wind ENE 13 mph. Sunny!

A dump run is in the cards for today.

One of the good things about retirement is that jobs that don't get done today can and will wait until tomorrow.

Have a safe day all

With all the rain/drizzle lately, waiting for sun to come out.
Got another Amazon empty delivery, unsealed envelope, that would have been to small to hold the item in the first place. Not the first time this has happened.
New one on the way.
Son came in last night and told us his friend was in a play at the school tonight and he wanted us to go with him.
24 hours notice, so he's getting better at that

Sodamo- I hope Sophie surgery is the last one she needs to be fully recovered, she must be very frustrated. Hope Makani heals fast.

LS- those nails gold plated or somethin??

Alien - supervisor does not look happy- maybe she will be when the walls are back in place ...
Next you'll be telling us Aussies like wonder-bread and Vegemite is all the rage in the deep south US

Roy-sometimes the body just gives you the hint it needs rest

Have people coming over Saturday, supposed to be outdoor Halloween movie night-might have to move indoors due to rain. Son is having friends over for Halloween Sunday- so will be very busy starting tonight.

Stay safe and be well.

48°F and rain this morning, going up to 57°. Looks like rain off and on through tomorrow as this mess coming out of the gulf continues to spin around near us.

Wife was at the hospital much of the day yesterday. Her father seems to be improving. Thanks for the well wishes.

I don't get around TBN as much as I used to either, Ron. There really is a lot of great content her outside of this thread. I just don't usually have the time anymore to peruse as widely as I once did. Lots of people here whose posts I have enjoyed, yet don't see much anymore.

What a deal! Our neighborhood is charged about $1000 per deer to trap, remove and kill. Hunters/trappers can make more money being exterminators than gatherers of food.

Good morning! 60˚F, clear skies light wind heading only to the low 70s.

Alien, I don't know how much truth is in the bread story, but it is interesting. We just need to find a down under person who is in the U.S. to verify. Maybe we can ask some of the Aussies that are flocking to Florida to cruise since their country is still not open for cruises.
