45F light drizzly rain steady wind mid 50's for high rain ending early afternoon.

Yesterday was good day...3 wheel barrow loads of items to basement before the cold weather arrives,both riding mowers service and started their hibernation,Mrs, said last evening dinner was outstanding enough so she had seconds.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...since the weather not in my favor be no leaf blowing today sooo looks like trip to town for critter food some odds and ends,afternoon give the generator good work out been a while and putter.

Only a few dozen more large Ash to come down, and many, many smaller ones on their way.

9 times out 10 when we hear tree falling it means clean up.

46°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 64° today. Rain moving in after midnight tonight, into tomorrow and Friday.

Father-in-law is having more problems. He was rushed yesterday from the rehab facility to the ER with problems breathing. They found he has an infection in his lungs, and had started going into sepsis. They got his blood oxygen levels back up for awhile, but he had a turn for the worse late in the evening. White blood cell count is way too high. Hoping for improvement for him today.

Slow/poor service from Spectrum? Gee, that's not too hard to imagine, Bird. Hope they get it fixed for you.

We've had nothing but trouble with Sirius/XM's billing incompetence, L4N. For us, it almost always involved changing or cancelling a radio. If you've never had to deal with them over the phone or via "live chat," you're in for quite a treat.

Yesterday evening I caught SiriusXM satellite radio fraudulently taking money off me for monthly payments when my 2 year plan doesn't expire until July of 2022. They will get an earful today. I think I will go straight to the top on this. I've already emailed them and they have 'till 10 A.M. (but they don't know that) and then I will be getting on the phone. I've been a SiriusXM customer since 2007 and this is the first time I have caught them double billing. So far they have stung me out of $86.60.

I hate, and will never again have XM for that very reason. They kept taking money after I cancelled. Don’t think I ever got it all back. They are crooks in my opinion.

49F, wet, and cloudy @ 10:45, heading up to a high of 61F with only a 5% chance of more precipitation. Chances for tomorrow are only 15% with a high of 66F ... so a good possibility for a little bit of drying.

Got hopper feeder refilled and two sunflower tube feeder put back out yesterday, also refilled one suet feeder.

Woman just said there was a doe out at the hopper feeder.

Fed two boxes of white worms, still need to do one more.

Further kitchen clean up.

Scheduled some bills for payment.

Work boots cleaned and oiled, new laces installed.

Ground is still wet enough that I could core aerate it again so I may do that today.

Also need to get the driveway markers put in so that can be crossed off the list.

63°F and no rain

Soph has her ophthalmologist appointment this morning, so that was going to make it one of those days. But have to try and get Makani into vet. Has what maybe a respiratory issue. Best I can describe is seems like he can’t get his breath resulting in this heavy, raspy sound. Happening irregularly and intermittent, but a bad one about 2:30 this morning lasting several minutes. I sure didn’t sleep much after.

Good afternoon! Sunny skies 73˚F. Before sunrise we had .54" of rain on the Tempest rain gauge and .78" on the funnel rain gauge. Talked with the Knee Dr. and as expected his schedule is filled for the rest of the year so I elected to go on stand-by, so waiting for a cancelation and it will be just a 5 day notice. They require no knee injections for 2 months prior so that was skipped this morning. I guess everyone's covid delay is finished even though we are still in the RED zone.

Sunday night a lady was walking on her street in the neighborhood in the dark and was bitten by a rattlesnake. An Ambulance took her to the hospital for the anti-venom. It's nice having a fire station with an ambulance in the neighborhood. She survived only pain and swelling. The snake wrangler was called but could not find the snake. He said this was only the 3rd rattlesnake bite in the neighborhood in the past nine years.

Been good day...Generator came to life after 5 pulls been setting since April got an hour work out Higher price now has affected critter food,wild bird seed $1 more for 35lbs sunflower seed $1.75 more 40lb bag,bread cake donuts etc. no price hike yet.Stop at Nappa to pick up 2 1/2 ton floor jack I order instead 3 1/2 ton was sent,clerk said will give it to you for same price as 2 1/2 ton and jack much better built lot heavy,clerk said it would be to much paper work to send it back sooo what they heck jacket looks nice in the basement.

Going to be numb it evening might even share bowl ice cream with kittens.

Back from town.
Ophthalmologist says Sophie needs another surgery, lens OK, but eye has problems. Jan4, but also on cancellation list for earlier.

Xray on Makani didn’t reveal any obstructions, but does have some sort of irritation in larynx region leading to lung inflammation and slight fever. Meds for next 7&10 days then recheck in 2 weeks.

Did minimal shopping and back home hoping to salvage some of the day.

He can give my DIL his excess white cells. Hers are too low.

It is like pulling hens teeth to get someone that speaks English.
I have two satellite radios, one on a two year contract and the other one somehow got put on a monthly contract. I cancelled that one today and got a confirmation number for it.
Like I explained to the immigrant, I might have two or three vehicles (I do have), but I am the only driver. So I take the portable satellite radio and move it from one to the others. He clued in eventually.
