Gas is available at probably 80% of the stations here with no lines. Unless there is a part2, this too has passed.

I bought the wrench. Now I can change the pump in less than 30 min. The first one my old mechanic and me took a few hours. It was the bottom one and was impossible to see what you are doing.

I’ve got the Tempest wrench, but it wouldn’t fit, engine was too close to the firewall.

Good Evening All.

Was a bit slow to get moving this morning, may have over done it a bit yesterday ...

Was 68F and partly cloudy @ 12:30 ... currently 60F and partly cloudy @ 21:30, headed down to an overnight low of 51F.

Managed to hit a high of 70F for the day, was really quite beautiful.

Possibilities of rain through next Sunday appear to be low with highs in the upper 80's starting Thursday ... should be good for getting a lot of work done outside ... (y)

Spent most of the afternoon working on the sprayer. First issue was diagnosing a problem of no juice to the pump. That turned out to a faulty connection with the trolling motor receptacle which was easy enough to fix once I tracked it down. Once I had that handled and the pump was running I noticed that it wasn't making pressure so I stuck a new diaphragm kit in it that Fimco had sent me, that I had up in the shop. That got us up to around 65 - 70 psi ... (y)

Next issues were the spray gun/wand was leaking (cracked) and the retainer cord for the cap for the tank had broken off some time back ... which allowed the cap to leak out the top. Tried cobbling something together on the gun/wand from old parts but ultimately that didn't pan out. So around 17:30 I headed out to TSC, after having placed an online order for both items and a new Accu-Rite measuring cup.

When I got there the lady that waited on me pulled the order out and it was missing the tank cap, said they must be out of them. So I signed off and took what she offered ... and then walked back to where they have the sprayer parts, and lo and behold, there was the cap (two of them actually) they couldn't find when they pulled the order hanging on the pegboard. Took it up front and paid for it and headed out to the truck.

Once I got there, I looked a little closer at the spray gun/wand she had given me ... it was missing the nozzle tip. Not only that, it was also the wrong item. I had ordered a regular one and they had given me a telescoping one.

So I walked back inside and explained the situation and walked back and got the right one ... complete with tip even.

Best part of the trip was seeing that the Dunkin' next door was advertising iced butter pecan lattes on their electronic sign (right after the "Help Wanted, $10 - $12 Per Hour" ad)

I settled for just a butter pecan coffee, and skipped the latte.

Best part of the TSC experience was actually getting all the correct stuff - before I actually left the premises (and the items I really needed being on sale)

Managed to get a couple gallons of glyphosate mix sprayed after I got home, leaving about 22 gallons in the tank to start with tomorrow.

Woman and I split a meatball sub from the local place, and I finished off the last two pieces of the Dominos as well.

Just moved her car from in front of the garage and pulled the Cub inside. Light aim much better ... but still needs a little further tweaking. Really amazed at how much light they put out.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

I bought some outdoor tickets for a band playing Fleetwood Mac songs. Because of the threat of rain and the easing up of the CDC it was moved indoors in the town's Square Palace Theater. There were about 100 people in attendance - the band and singer were good. Mask were only required going in and out and there were none worn other times.

Kyle sorry to hear about your accident in Houston. When I was rear ended in the Kia the person behind was going 5MPH and caused $2,500 worth of damage. Their insurance paid for a rental car while mine was being repaired.

Boy that hot tub sure felt good after working arms over head.
Ceiling insulation in container done except a strip about 11”, width of container. Might wait until I get walls done and just wait to see what I have for cutoff instead of a new sheet.

Used Heavy Duty Liquid Nails for adhesive. Seemed to work OK if I gave it about 45 minutes before removing the support/lift. I’ll leave the cleats in place and remove as I install the sheetrock. Once sheetrock is in place I don’t care if the insulation slips.
While I’m tempted to sheet the ceiling, I think I’ll continue the insulation install, then switch. I’m hoping the walls to be much easier than the ceiling.

Progress, with a hot tub reward.
