Good morning all

17 now highs around 40 and a mix of sun and clouds today. Winds calmed down nicely last night. We Got lucky, no power loss yesterday just a little flickering a few times. There was a fair amount of wind damage around the state thoughts for those still without power.

Not much planned for today just pick up a grocery order and play pick up sticks while the ground is solid enough to walk on.

Eric - nice gate install, I assume that design makes it so people can’t leave it open.

Ron - you certainly get some great shots, I really look forward to seeing them.

Stay safe and healthy
Enjoy your day everyone

Enjoy the day all.

Good Morning
27 with a forecast high of 50. Not a cloud in the sky.

Yesterday’s project was to fabricate and install a wall mount for the condenser for a walk-in freezer. That’s the second one in a week.

Today I get to spend some quality time with the FAA. It’s part of the joy that comes with being in a business that has a lot of government oversight. Hopefully it won’t consume the whole day.

So far I’m very happy with the Tempest weather station, it’s performing as it should.

Still not vaccinated.

28 and sunny going to 60. Very nice. Fired the woodstove back up yesterday morning, but may need to let it go out soon with a nice forecast.

Roy, glad your password problem has been solved. No fun when tech is messed up.

David, I enjoyed your story of sacrificing your phone for your dog. I can only imagine your panic at first.

Mr Toppop, you're gonna be riding in style.

Kyle, glad you caught your tire problem and fixed it before a high speed mishap. New Gonzales flag looks better. Happy Anniversary to Texas yesterday.

Had a plumbing leak yesterday, so day didn't go as planned, which spills over to today. That's nothing new.

I haven't owned a hand held spotlight in about 10 years, been using a small 500 lumen flashlight when out prowling at night. I received a new one yesterday from Midway, USA, that is much smaller and lighter than my old one, and produces 6,000 lumen. I couldn't believe how it lit up the world when I took it outside last night...hope I didn't blind any of you when I panned it around. :)

25 early, 55 later. I think I’m going to start on the leather tub chair today and see if I can get that inside back done that was giving my Buddy such a fit. The rest of it should be straight forward. I like practicing my skills.

I found out his sister in the nursing home tested positive after getting both shots, all she had was sniffles like spring allergy. That’s the beauty of these vaccines, they are almost 100% effective against serious illness and death.

Buppies, good luck on your surgery, I’ll be praying for you.

Well I’d better get to morning chores, I’m behind and no breakfast until the boss says I’m done!

Good morning, overnight low 26°F and high 36. Wind NNW 8 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

With the warmer temps, I am tempted to scrape some more snow off the driveway.

Other than scraping snow I will probably conserve energy.

Stay safe all

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 4:00AM. Partly cloudy. High near 70F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
The 10-day is showing rain on Saturday, then Monday thru Friday (as far out as it goes) next week. But the totals aren't great, and those that know these things say it's a long way from getting us out of extreme drought.

When I first glanced at that photo, Ron, I thought I was looking at a kangaroo for a second. Looks like you need extensions on those feeder poles.😄

Nice gate, Eric. Hope there wasn't too much digging involved.

I suppose we're about to see if masks make any difference, in Texas at least. I can't remember if you've got both doses of the vaccine yet, Don, but I hope so...

Thanks for the insights, Gale, and best of luck with the Leaf.

Finished splitting and loading on the second pallet yesterday, and got it stacked and rolled into place in the container. After lunch I took another steel pallet apart using the new batch of 5" cutoff wheels. They do seem to last a little longer, they cut pretty fast, and none of them blew up. Think I'll order more before they disappear. Also got a pretty good start cutting the steel to length, and hope to get another pair of pallets knocked out today.

Happy Hump Day everyone!🥳

I have an old one million candle power 12v spotlight from my boating days, just for giggles I plugged it into my truck and shined it across the back a couple of months ago, I could see almost like daylight back there. Not very good for walking around with though.

RNG ... Can you please share which cut-off wheels you're liking. I've been using the harbor freight ones but now need more so .. want to expand my options.

Our Governor .. rescinded the state's mask mandate but .. business, schools, churches, etc. are still free to require them. I know I'll still wear one in certain circumstances.

Your Governor .. loudly criticized the move .. convincing me we're doing it right.

Here ya go, Ted. I think they're available in a 100 pack, too.

That idiot in Sacramento is NOT my governor. I didn't vote for him, and consider him to be an embarrassment to the whole state. Sorry I can't tell you what I really think of him.

But until I'm a couple months past my second vaccination, I'll be wearing a gen-u-wine N95 mask, practicing social distancing, and using hand sanitizer after I touch any "foreign" surfaces, anytime I'm out in public.

36°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 64° today. Voice on the radio suggested we might even flirt with 70° today. Seems almost a shame to waste such a day stuck inside at work. Oh, well ... plenty of nice days ahead.

Bummer about your password woes, Roy. Like most, I haven't had any troubles either. I just had to log in again Monday morning. Hope Muhammad can get it straightened out for you.

I have seen other things popping up lately, like setting the number of posts per page and the like. They're clearly still putting a lot of work into this new version.

That's a good-looking gate, Eric. I'm sure your foot traffic will appreciate it.

Fun pic this morning, Ron.

Do you have a link or description of the new spotlight, wngsprd? Can't remember the last time I was on the Midway site. Larry used to get a lot of money from me on a regular basis back when I was shooting and reloading more.

Good morning. It was 38° and calm this morning. We should see close to 70° this afternoon.

As long as our wind stays down .. I'll get at least one brush pile lit this morning. I have four, all about the size of school busses.

Our pastures are still to soft to use tractors to pick up tree limbs trimmed last week so today might be a good day to take down a few more cedar trees as well. Gotta keep up with Don.

I moved my air compressor in the small shop over to the big shop yesterday while awaiting parts for the other air compressor. This one has an open frame motor, with external brushes so ..I removed the covers to check the brushes.

They're getting close to needing replacement so .. I went online to get a spare set on hand. Whoa! Prices for two carbon brushes ran from just over $34 to almost $65? These brushes fit several similar air compressors, from various manufacturers.

Amazon had a set for $34. I gritted my teeth, swallowed hard and hit the "place order" button.

Hope everyone has an excellent "hump day" today.

Prayers to all.

Thanks much. If I order .. within 10 hours, 17 minutes .. they'll be delivered tomorrow. Amazing!

Ted?
