Good morning! 18 now, maybe 31 later. It is cloudy and supposed to be all day. The sunshine yesterday was awesome. Never got above 28, but the sun helped when I was outside.

The 都mall load of firewood turned out to be about twice as much as expected. Got that unloaded and stacked, guy who gave me the wood then asked if he could haul away the old freezer that we replaced in November just before I got sick. Done! It is gone too.

Then a quick trip to the local gun store to pick up 2#痴 of Vihtavuori powder they had in stock that I can use to reload. Came home and started sizing cases.

Then took the wife to dinner and stopped at Lowe痴 for some ice melt. She decided to get a house plant too. Looking around in general, may have found overhead storage for the trailer, Gladiator makes a loft storage shelf that with minor modification will do what I want for overhead storage in the rear of the trailer. With the price of lumber, likely more cost efficient too!

Ahhh...racing...,still stirs my soul. But for me, it has always been motorcycle flat track followed by sprint cars. I have had fleeting interest in other types of racing, but I always come back to those 2. Likely the other form of racing I followed the most was Formula 1 in 2 eras. I followed F1 when James Hunt was active, a lot of that came from meeting James Hunt as a rookie. We actually sat and talked over a couple of beers at Watkins Glen NY. Then the Michael Schumacher era. I watched his first race at Spa as a way to kill time early one Sunday. I was stunned by his talent. Once he retired, I don稚 think I have watched an F1 race since. I am a fickle race fan...

Not sure what today will bring. Trip to the grocery store.....then decide.

Everyone stay safe out there!

When I talked to dad last week he said how much he enjoyed cutting firewood. It seems we were out in the woods every Saturday when I was young, especially in the winter. If it got too cold he built a fire so we could warm up.
He still has many cords in one of the barns.

That is one big trailer.
I always thought about getting one big enough to haul the ranger to Ohio. Never did. I rarely use the 16 ft one I have, but it’s handy when needed. Boards need replaced soon, it sits outside.

The trailer is actually 22’, I checked yesterday. I bought it two years old from a defunct racing team several years ago. Used it for show cars for a while, but I’d rather drive them, not much on trailer queens. I’ve hauled tractors and all kinds of stuff but I really don’t need it anymore. Obviously, it sat for two years.

I drag raced my Hemi GTX for a couple of years but go karts were my passion, raced 5 different classes when I was a teen. I can still get on a slick track and beat the young ones, but I need help getting out of the kart.
I was big into NASCAR for years but lost interest.
FORMULA 1 always reminds me of glorified go karts. Same with Indy cars.
24 wind chill 14, 40 later. They’re saying 3-5” of snow Thursday.

freshman year college I had a Buick electra with a 455 4 barrel carb. Thing was a tank.

that was a fine ride with a big motor
first summer in college worked for local sod farmer who drove a 225 with the big motor in it.
That car actually pulled my F750 sod boom truck fast enough to jump start it, might have even had some sod still loaded on it.
Always wondered if that incident screwed up his transmission. He didn't seem to care. Guess he didn't believe in tow trucks

my brother just sent me pics of his new Corvette. Interior is all original and tired, manual trans

Nice looking machine, that big block will sure roast those skinny rear tires and the fronts will howl when trying to drive a corner,
but they are nice machines.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 6:45AM. Cloudy skies with periods of rain this afternoon. High 49F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 80%.
It'll clear up tonight and be dry tomorrow, but the rest of the 10-day calls for rain every day. Finally!

Beautiful car, Drew. A real Stingray, back from the days when you could still see the engine.

Hate it when that happens, Bill. Can you straighten the bent bar?

Thanks for the link, Rich. Lots of options out there if you know what to call 'em.

Used up most of a 2 1/2 gallon jug of RM43 yesterday and got all the hardscape on the property covered. Probably gonna have to hit it again when it dries out with all the rain that's comin'.

Neighbor that's selling the old tractor for me is coming to pick it up this morning, and I still need to gather up the stuff that goes with it. Not sure what the rest of the day looks like, except wet.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend...
