I too am not too thrilled about a home warranty. The previous sellers threw in a one year home warranty and my dish washer leaked. I had to pay a $75 deductible. He re-set it and it was OK for a little over a month but started leaking again. The warranty that his company gives is for 90 days UNLESS it is through the home warranty then it is 30 days. I had to pay another $75. several months later the leak showed up again and they wanted another $75 - I told them to forget it and bought a new dishwasher. So Ron make sure you find out how long your repair warranty is under the home warranty before you have to pay another $100.

Got a letter from the USPS day before yesterday saying there will be delivery delays this holiday season, mostly blaming weather but also saying they were short handed because of CV19

Maybe they are getting ready to ask for a pay increase because they are so overworked.

I haven't gotten such a letter, nor have I talked to any USPS employees lately, BUT . . . our mail carrier USUALLY comes around 3:30 p.m., give or take a half hour. But twice last week, no mail carrier before I went to bed, well after dark, but then found mail in the box the next morning. I was really surprised that it had to have arrived in the dark. And then one day in the past week, the mail came before noon. Yesterday, it was back to 3:30 p.m.; who knows if or when it'll come today.

Thanks for posting that link, Chris.

Here's another, from the same source, that examines an association between low vitamin D levels and incidence and severity of CV19. Some health professionals are now recommending vitamin D supplements as an added precaution against CV19. Serendipitously, I started a vitamin D/calcium supplement last fall to help with osteoporosis, but I'll be upping the vitamin D dose based on this news.

I get an email every day from USPS showing picture off all mail that is arriving. I got the picture of that letter from USPS yesterday, but the mail never came.

Here's a screen shot of an email I got this morning showing a photo of what's waiting in today's mail. It shows the same mailing I got yesterday. Either the USPS figures I'm a little slow on the uptake, or they're busy wasting valuable taxpayer resources again.:pullinghair:

That’s what they sent me in my email the last 2 days. But it hasn’t come yet.

Same here. Perhaps I'm being cynical but when you work late you usually get overtime and Christmas is coming.

Waiting on a package, and tracking shows FedEx claims they delivered it yesterday afternoon. A walk around the outside of the house last night says they did not. (sigh)

Wife sent me a text message today that she found the package in our mailbox. Smart money is on it having been delivered to the wrong address, and one of our neighbors put it in the mailbox for us.

One less thing to worry about, Paul. I found one laying on the ground just inside the gate, in plain site this morning. The drop box was unlocked and empty. Couldn't blame USPS though; it was delivered by FedEx.:pullinghair:

I got mail for the last 2 days today. The USPS was not included, maybe it’s only an email thing.

Did a little more snow removal today and got air in low vehicle tires.

31F and cloudy @ 17:30.

Package containing tile was not delivered again today ("Delay: Emergency Situation or Severe Weather") ... at this point, the snow has melted enough that I'm actually starting to see large, uncovered areas of the driveway's surface ...

Tomorrow the high is predicted to reach 39F ... but the day after they are calling for rain/snow ... :confused2:

I'll give them one more day ... after that, I do have the email address and cell number of the terminal manager ...

What a couple of sweeties!!!
Boy, Makani has really grown!!

He should the way he eats. I call him Mikey, like that old commercial. If Sophie and I are eating it, he wants to try. When I portion out their meals he’ll eat his and part of Kekoa’s.
How’s Bella doing? Love the snow?

What dosage of vitamin D are you taking now?
