Doug sorry about the Covid outbreak, same thing going on here.
Roy how are roads?
Buppies hope work goes ok
Bill enjoy your town run.
Thomas can those storm names be repeated in polite conversation? hope roofs come clean, with no accidents.
Ron good to hear home warranty taking care of bill, nice woodpecker pic, sorry about nap too long. Practice helps :)
Mike good to hear you can get out for supplies.
Billy glad you had good hike. My days of large snow storms were over when I left STL.
Paul Heavy wet snow with sleet mixed in is nasty to work with.
Drew we are glad you are still here. Hope you recover from the snow clean up exercise.
Drew glad melt worked, homemade muffins, are you sharing?

30 now, low around 23 tonight. We may have our first teens tomorrow night.
I went to cardiac specialist today, he says my heart function has gone from 30% before the valve replacement almost exactly a year ago, to within normal ranges now. Now if my kidneys will cooperate I’ll be good to go, well except for my sciatica. LOL Always something though when you’re old.

Great news!

My son ordered a gift for his mom, USPS claims it was delivered, but it wasn’t. He went to post office, apparently they have GPS tracking, and it got delivered to wrong address, and they must have kept it. He’s disappointed as he can’t order another before Christmas and he’s out $40 from the first order.

Why doesn't the post office ask for the package back from the wrong house?

We have had 2 Christmas cards torn open. 1 had a check, and my guess is they were hoping for cash, so they left the check in it. The other had nothing in it, so I checked with person who sent it to make sure. But I've heard gift cards are fair game for theft. I guess I need to call the post office.

GT80 sitrep: I guess the piston rings got stuck at a post office in Lancaster PA. They show no movement since the 14th. :(

HEB store had asparagus on sale for .67/bundle. I bought 3. We'll all have smelly P here soon after. LOL.

Have to work next Monday, then off from Tuesday until the following Monday.

LS, nice woodwork.

Same for speaker your boxes Popgadget. Old audiophile here. Are your cabinets for high end stuff? I have an old Klipsch La Scala, that had been thrown in the dumpster (at my church) during renovation. I freaked out, ran home and got my truck, to haul it home. To this day, nobody can figure out what happened to it's twin. One man's trash is another man's treasure.....yes, I have too much stuff....

Still being careful at work wearing masks, clean wipes on door handles, and washing hands.

Sodamo, great dogs, they don't care if you all have any room on the couch though....I can tell. :)

Plan to watch A&M play Tennessee tomorrow. And then go help my new friend with his machine shop.

Kyle does your daughter know the origins of "Silent Night". The lyrics were composed the day before Christmas Eve 1818 and the melody was compose the next day on Christmas Eve for the guitar because the church organ was broke. The world first heard the hymn at midnight Christmas Eve 1818 with the accompanying guitar music.

He should the way he eats. I call him Mikey, like that old commercial. If Sophie and I are eating it, he wants to try. When I portion out their meals he’ll eat his and part of Kekoa’s.
How’s Bella doing? Love the snow?

Bella's too old (heading for 11) to love the snow, but she tolerates it when going outside to do her business or check out the back yard...
I think I share that sentiment with her...although I do love watching it snow...and, sometimes clearing the snow (enjoyed snow blowing the last snow we had...) but getting to the tractor in 12" deep snow and walking in other areas in that deep snow just isn't fun. I think I like 8" snowfalls the best...

Roy how are roads?

They weren't too bad. I kept it at 55 in the morning drive. Afternoon was no problem.
I'll never go another winter without dedicated snow tires though!

Mostly, Me. They had just hopped up there and Sohie caught them and commented, so I walked in back of her hoping they would look at me.

Kyle, funny thing is that is what we call the dog’s seat. Have had that loveseat for all our boxers and it is only piece they are allowed on except our bed.

We have 2 other loveseats in same room, in kinda U shape layout. About 98% of time if someone comes in to visit, they almost immediately will sit there and of course the dogs either try to join them or sit at their feet. I never scold they dogs, just tell the offenders they are sitting in the dogs’ seat hence the attention. It is comfy.

Not sure, we sang it in German and English last year.

Waiting for first cup of coffee to cool. 26° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 36° with chance of snow throughout the day. Nice and warm in house. 72°. Still cycling furnace with jumper. Service guy has diagnosed problem as circuit board. Warranty company wants a second opinion. Guy coming out Monday. Nobody want to come out on the weekend. this close to Christmas that is a contractor for warranty company. I have to live with this. Do not want to pay for a $500+ circuit board out of my pocket. No plans for the day.
Michigan Covid cases 491,875, Deaths 11,868. Oakland County cases 57,285. Deaths 1,514. Number of new cases in Michigan has dropped down 8 and 9K per day to around 5K. Number of test are at 8.1 Million. The surge in cases that was suppose to happen after Thanksgiving has not happened in Michigan.

Good Morning. Its 13 with a forecast high of 31 and partly cloudy skies. Probably not a lot of snow melt happening today.

Today is the coldest day since I installed the new generator back in August. It will be interesting (and comforting) to see it start for its scheduled exercise in an hour or so.

Yesterday I did work in the shop, got the speaker glued up and some of the internal parts cut up. The speakers I build are used primarily by musicians, most often bassists, and are high end, full range flat response design. They make excellent PA cabinets as well, and would be good for home use, but have far more SPL capability than you could use in a home. Most of my clients are professional touring musicians, it’s fun to see my cabs in videos or late night TV.

Instead of cleaning up the shop, I made a big pot of cheddar and ale soup, and took some to a friend who’s wife slipped on the ice and broke her femur. We were figuring out what he needed to to to the house to be ready for her when she gets home from the hospital complete with a new metal rod and some pins.

Today I’ll work on the speaker and likely clean up some.

2020-12-19, 0701

-7 (that's minus 7) right now...high in the upper 20's today...
Chores: dump run, haircut and stop by the bank to get money to repay my stepdaughter (she and I bought wifey a laptop for Christmas).
After that, hit the driveway again and clean up that couple inches the came down after I cleared the 10-12 inches that I cleared on Thursday. Also, hit the walks with the salt spreader. Probably have some other chores too, when I think of them
