rip, glad you got to spend time with your girls.

My daughter had her confirmation in church today along with about 11 other young people. They all had to pick and recite a favorite bible verse. She looked beautiful in her white dress.

45F and cloudy @ 12:30, headed up to a high of only 49F with a chance of showers ... :(

Did some cleaning/straightening up in basement yesterday, likely more of that on tap for today.

Rechecked pressure in water tank and it's holding ... Probably check it again in a month.

Cleaned rust stains out of right side of stationary tub (phosphoric acid works great for that ... ;))

Drew 20 gallons of water for fish tanks.

Got filter and screen reinstalled in furnace. Also washed filter for big HEPA tabletop air cleaner, will put that back together once it's dry..

Got pilot holes all drilled and deck screws installed in barn owl nest box. Still have to install divider, the two doors, and closure hooks ... that might happen today ... along with cutting some boards ...

Delivery of pump for parts washer rescheduled for today or tomorrow.

Somebody knocked the bottom off nugget feeder dumping the peanuts, need to clean that up and refill tube feeders with sunflower seeds.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable. productive, and safe day ...

Lost a couple hours yesterday morning to YouTube watching wet blaster videos, RS. Seems like lots of home brew setups out there, but the same basic problems remain of keeping the grit out of areas where it doesn't belong, and removing metal plating from parts that need it.

Not likely to be a problem with the things I'm working on.

Dry blasting with ultra fine media will produce the same finish as the wet blasters with a lot less trouble.

Suspect the health hazards with wet blasting are way less than dry blasting ... unless you're using a blasting cabinet with a dust collector of course ... :D

Nice picture, and I'll bet you make a lot of birds happy too. Our new barncat "Waffles", an orange and white female, is providing us good entertainment. Especially when the neighbor's male cat and her get into a scrap.

I have a new friend who is going to go with me.

MSMA also works if you can get your hands on it. Maybe some of your cousins that do hay can offer advice.

Hope the stiffness goes away soon. Those Jackdaws are saying "Hey, here comes the human, who whacked himself yesterday to provide us entertainment."

Yes, thank you Irv!

RNG, still wished you were a Texan nearby. I'd take you too. Just have to do a virtual update for you guys. Looking at the weather, it might be best to hold off until Thursday...

"MSMA also works if you can get your hands on it."

I believe the EPA banned .. or at least tried to ban MSMA .. about 15 years ago because of it's arsenic content and possibility of groundwater contamination.

I wouldn't touch it .. but, that's just me.

... Michigan had 3,338 new Covid cases yesterday. Not sure what to believe anymore. ...

The Houston firefighter (son of a friend) I mentioned a while back who had come down with it and was being taken of by his wife is doing better apparently.

Unfortunately, his wife also came down with it, was admitted to the hospital, and, as of the last we heard about a week ago, had been put into intensive care.

Luther, putting up storm windows. Glad I changed out those type of windows 40 years ago. I still have to clean screens.

Hi Ron
The windows are crank-out awning windows, the storms are on the inside so not to bad to change, The biggest pain is washing them.
Keep the pics coming they are great.
Here's an old one not at the feeder. (if it works)

Eric, quite willing to give my address to send the checks
My 1st choice is my battery tools over the corded except in cases where clearly in appropriate. I particularly like the 1/4” impact drivers and have a couple. Was pleasantly surprised how well the reciprocating saw cut that metal with some good Milwaukee blades. Sophie has own for cutting palm fronds with a wood blade. I keep 4 batteries at the ready.

Love sushi, Rip. Sadly our favorite place is still take out only. Makes sense in that they alway had a good takeout business so why bother with the extra hassle of dine in. t one point I had ordered every sushi variant on their menu. Make great tempura as well.

Can’t think of any highway I like in NoVa/DC area. When we lived there it was always stressful to go most anywhere, but especially 95/Spaghetti Junction. I found it amazing how commuters and their commute scheduled ruled. I was always used to working late when necessary, but not there. Took a major major to ask someone to miss their commute home.
So the tolls are back??? Amazing. I remember when removed along 95
