Roy, congrats on tractor. Nice you have inching feature, you must have the loaded R model. I almost bought that before I bought my Kubota, but JD dealer was awful and far way while Kubota was close and a great dealer. Both were comparable tractors, am sure you are going to love the cab, staying warm and dry. Let it snow!

yes Ken, third time had better be the charm. What is almost humorous is I'm the last person they need to worry about. ;)
This reminds me to get my passport renewed in near future, I let that lapse. Now this is strange, went online to confirm
Flemington NJ passport office, now it says no passport offices in PA, NJ, NY or Delaware. Wonder how that is possible...
Perhaps I can accomplish this online with Real ID or at local court house.

Drew, your passport can be had at the post office, that’s where we got ours renewed.
I also wondered if you couldn’t rent a van round trip and save the trailer hassle.

Randy, you are probably right with the van, but due to mileage involved, might be a lot more expensive.
Thanks for tip about post office and passport, will stop down there and ask once I have my new PA driver's license.
He said with cautious optimism...
hope your arm gets better soon.

Good morning to all! Low of 34, going for a high of 68..... depending on which forecast.... some say 76. Early morning fog reported just east of here, means some moisture moving in..... Our area is predicted to get 6-7" of snow starting as early as Sunday night.

LFN, I'll try to send some up your way.... I know you just can't wait to get some snow....

Roy, If thomas gets some snow diverted, and I can get ours going that way.... you just might get some seat time! Congrats on getting a very nice tractor!

Drew, I hope you can get through DMV without any more difficulty.... sounds like you have covered everything they want. Have a safe trip over the weekend!

Ron, I would have to put a chair out there and watch every leaf fall gently..... I assume that it is very quiet.... at least it looks like it.... I can just hear the birds and the leaves rustling! Beautiful!

There is a wildfire up in Colorado that blew up from 20,000 acres to over 125,000 acres overnight. Lots of people/homes having to evacuate. Sounds like California all over again! Unprecedented times.....

Trip into town was uneventful yesterday, accomplished what was needed and got the trailer floor diamond plate, then the ply. Had time to spare, so went to HF and got sanding discs and 3 more Bar clamps.... all they had.... got some other stuff. Got off easy at at just under $100 at HF.

Got to get out early and weld the diamond plate to the trailer before the wind kicks up.... I don't want to be at risk of causing another fire! Then try to get it painted before any moisture arrives. That was the only thing forgotten yesterday.... paint... so need to run to the hardware store after I get through with the welding.

Everyone have a great day!

Oh, also forgot that I was able to get the mirrors installed on the tractor! They couldn't have worked out any better! I will get some pics today....

I’d like mirrors but don’t have a good place to mount them, my old 4041 Simplicity had a metal roof so the mirrors could be mounted on the front uprights.

64°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 67° today. Cold front coming thought today is supposed to bring a little more rain, along with dropping temperatures this afternoon into the upper 30s overnight.

More puttering in the studio last night.

That's why I'd like a rear wiper, too, Rick. My dust doesn't get as thick as yours, but it is bothersome looking out through dirty windows. Rain and snow haven't been a problem for me.

Congrats on the new tractor, Roy. Looks fantastic. Quite a few people complain about "hydro whine," but it doesn't really bother me. It does make some noise, though. You may or may not want plugs or muffs if you're in it for long periods of time.

The pond is still low, Mostly_. I was hoping all the recent rain would correct that, but it's pretty much all been slow and steady, so it's soaking into the ground more than running off into the pond. The ground needs it more than the pond, so it is what it is.

Glad your settling in so quickly, Drew. Good luck with the DMV today.

Drew the last time I renewed my passport there was a lady at the library who checked the paperwork. made copied and sent everything off.

It is interesting that the death rate on the virus is going down. They are not sure if it is improved methods of treatment. or wider use of masks may be reducing the amount of virus that people get when exposed, or maybe the virus is changing. Dr. Seheult talks about it in the new Medcram video.

Roy, tractor looks good. Very nice comfortable cab. Does it have a rear camera?

No, but I'm sure I can add one if I want...
I have a back up camera in the Tacoma, but I still turn my head and look...

Roy...nice really nice looking JD  it's like showroom condition.
You'll like the hydro when doing loader work also when come to stopping, the only issue I found if wearing big snow boots.
Santa going to have to bring you steering wheel spinner.
Does it have tilt steering wheel?...those are nice.

Yep, tilt steering wheel...
Already got a spinner...same one I used on the 790 many years ago...been on the 4400 and the 4520. Now it'll go on the 4052.
I'll probably add external mirrors...the kit isn't that expensive and it's something I can do at home

70°F and .01 inches rain

Will be cutting the doors into the container. I’m guessing those sheets of metal are going to be fun to wrestle around.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

75F @ 12:30 and mostly sunny for the moment ... now saying headed up to a high of only 77F (was predicting 79F last night ... :confused2:)

Predicting rain for later on but beautiful day out there now.

Have friend stopping by in a couple of hours about the first of several welding projects he's interested in having me do.

Other than that, probably spend most of the day outside getting things done.

Forecast for tomorrow is looking ugly: high of only 48F and a low of 35F ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ...

Less use of ventilators-Dr.s didn't know any better at start of corona virus. Seen what those things can do to save lives, or end them.

Some years ago a friend had a 40’ container, he wanted a side door, so he used his plasma cutter. Marked out the door, cut one side then attached hinges and cut around the rest of it. He built a wooden frame for inside with a rubber seal and put thin pinch weld molding on the edges. He used a turn handle with lock.

Nice tractor Roy! I use a back up cam on mine while blowing snow with the rear blower. Saves the neck on long straight blows. I renewed my passport at the post office Drew. Was easy as pie!
Gloomy day here today with dark cloudy skies. Looks like rain but nothing falling but the leaves.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!

thankfully today went easey peasey at DMV, in and out in fifteen minutes. Paid 30 bucks extra for Real ID, have to wait two weeks before card comes.

then picked up moving blankets from friend, and met another friend at Uhaul dealer and got trailer hooked up to his Jeep.
I tried to buy him some beer at 8am this morning, Giant doesn't sell beer or wine until 9am. Hmmm. Ok. Then tried to buy him some IPA at
"spirits" store this afternoon, nope, they don't sell beer. I get an A for effort and an F for accomplishment. My friend just laughed...
