Roy I think you are ready for the snow. Do the cabs also have AC up North?

Yep, AC and heat...also, a radio/CD/Bluetooth player (optional). Other than a quick run up to PTO RPM, I haven't really determined if I'm going to need hearing protection when mowing or snow blowing. A blue tooth head set would be nice though. I occasionally use one when mowing with the zero-turn mower
This tractor also has ePTO...runs the PTO at lower RPM. I don't know much about that yet.
The dealer had to order a manual...probably two (one for the tractor, one for the loader). In the interim, I've been reading the online manual.

52 right now...mid-60's is the high...pretty much a repeat of yesterday.
Some of you may recall we got a major finding during our AS 9100 audit a couple months ago. The auditor will be returning today to see if our corrective action is effective. Well, I've done my part...the inspection guys better do their part and we'll be OK

Thanks for all the nice comments about the new (to me) 4052 Deere.
Must admit, I was very pleasantly surprised to get the text from my stepdaughter about it being delivered. The things I wanted installed (block heater, 3 bucket hooks and rear wiper) were ready. In my experience, Yanmar engines are pretty good in cold weather starting, but block heaters make it so much easier on the engine. There's supposed to be a hydraulic oil heater available too, but I haven't found one of those when doing online research (yet). Maybe one of you 40xx series tractor owners can provide some info...or if it's even necessary

The day started off with a really nice orange glow to the west, which I missed taking a pic of because by the time I had taken a cup of tea up to my wife it vanished, replaced by a drab dark slab of cloud. It is going to rain, only a question of time.

Great looking tractor Roy, should be nice and stable too with those widely spaced rear tires. You will probably find you hardly ever need to touch the brakes now you have a good hydro. I though going clutchless was fantastic - plus getting rid of a pedal gives more space for putting junk on the floor of the cab :)

Wng, those turning leaves, rocks and water on your trail make for a gorgeous picture. Looks to be the sort of place you could happily fish all day, even with no hook on the line.

Don, you got to be careful with that mulch dumping and moving again - they are sure to guess it was all an excuse to get more time on the free tractor if you repeat it too often ;)

Good morning folks

55 now dew point 52 high of 62 and cloudy today.

Cleaned the leaves from the driveway. Shut off outside water and put hoses away for the season.

Roy nice looking tractor, love the cab.
Good luck with the AS 9100 stuff that’s one thing I don’t miss from work.

Enjoy your day everyone

59 heading just below 80 again today. Heavy fog.

A good day to be outside. I need to finish laying some more 4x4's for the horse run ins. Managed to cut the grass yesterday. Need to finish that up today. The grass is nice and green, and surprisingly, void of major bugs.

Also, I think today is paint the porch ceiling day. That's been a long time coming. I did the final once over just before the sun went down last night. A busy day for sure.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Enjoy.

good morning all
another foggy morning, 63 going up to 73 today. So wet out in morning almost like a constant drizzle.

Amazon delivered my 10x14 wool rug for bedroom much earlier than expected, was so heavy I could barely get it inside. Waiting for help (and pad to arrive) to lay it down.
Funny that normally Amazon emails me saying your package has delivered, and sure enough within minutes it's outside my front door. But this time. rug is shown as not even shipped yet.
Hope they don't send two, or they will have to come pick it up, too heavy for me to get to UPS. Amazon driver was really nice, he looked at rug and said do you need a hand with that? I sure did... So he picked the thing up by himself and hauled in inside to kitchen floor, where I could barely drag it from there. That was service above and beyond.

Am off to DMV for third time later this morning, with SS card in hand, photo ID from NC, Medicare card, two envelopes addressed to me at new location, SS statement sent to current address, etc.
Then headed to friend's home to pick up some moving blankets, then meeting friend at Uhaul place to pick up trailer for tomorrow's trip. Not looking forward to that trip tomorrow in his
aging diesel Jeep Liberty. Going to take a back pillow and my noise cancelling headphones for sure.

Pleased that electrician's estimate for installing the portable gen hookup came in under my budget, so sent all that info off to landlord for her approval. Came in around 900 dollars to install 50 amp receptacle on exterior wall, make a custom cord to hook up gen. and modify interior panel to work as interlock. House only has 100 amp panel though in this case not a big deal since gen doesn't put out that much power anyway. Now hopefully Westinghouse gen will show up Nov 4th as promised. Same dual fuel gen I bought for 1050 is now listed for 1800...big shortages are driving usual price gouging.

leaves are changing colors here nicely, very pretty driving country roads where limbs overhang roads with a constant color show

Coffee is done brewing. 56° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with afternoon thunderstorms. Got mine and Sassy's hair done. Both of us can now see without having to get hair out of our eyes. Did Menards shopping also. Grocery shopping today. No other plans.
Road in front of my house.

Roy, tractor looks good. Very nice comfortable cab. Does it have a rear camera?

Drew, good luck with DMV.

Don, that compost looked good enough for mulch.

Riptides, pictures when celling painting is done?

Randy, hope your arm is getting better.

RNG, good to know power transfer is working good.

Kyle, hope you can get Steiner running.

David, hope container cutting goes good.

RS, hope you are sending all your 11% coupons in. Another week. I think they are going to go for rest of the year. Will let you know when they end.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Roy...nice really nice looking JD  it's like showroom condition.
You'll like the hydro when doing loader work also when come to stopping, the only issue I found if wearing big snow boots.
Santa going to have to bring you steering wheel spinner.
Does it have tilt steering wheel?...those are nice.

I'll send all the snow I can your way so you can get some seat time. ;)
