Drew, would you serious consider getting the same mower as you got last time?
No, I had ten acres to mow last time, now I'll have half an acre...
in fact I'm now seriously considering buying a home in a 55+ community with a tiny lawn that I could mow with a cordless mower...
Think I may drive up to PA next week to check it out, now that I have a second clear PET scan under my belt.
I've bought two riding mowers in last ten years, both of which I gave away...one a used 20 hour JD LX280

in Delaware and was tapped out. While a very nice mower, I knew I was moving to a big farm and the mower wasn't big enough. So I bought a diesel JD X750 which was a marvelous machine. It stayed with the farm, which I now sure regret. I also bought a Cub Cadet

I didn't like that machine at all, despite having the good Kawasaki engine and a fabricated deck. It was too hard to steer and why I know if I do a rider again it has to have power steering. I've had both wrists operated on for carpal tunnel and one elbow for ulnar surgery so my arms aren't too great, nor can I grip ZT's sticks.
Yes, I give a lot of stuff away...but without kids and no desire to "take it with me", why not
going to be miserably hot today, heat index of 108. Going to crank down the a/c this morning and try to get ahead of the heat curve, went up to 80 in rv late yesterday in heat of day. Going to zoom today with sister in California, I know she is very interested to talk to me about housing choices. First it was assisted living, then a rental, now a home to buy is being considered. Having second thoughts about being so isolated in rental in country, maybe it's time I was closer to other folks and met more people, so I won't spend the rest of my life living alone.
