Good morning!!!!

72F and not a cloud in the sky @ 09:00 ... high of 85F or 88F depending on who you want to believe. I'm going with neither and betting it will hit 90F today. Looks to be an unsettled weather pattern after Mon/Tues with chances of rain about every day for a week.

Got bird feeders refilled yesterday, except for the hummingbird feeder which I have to do today. Then worked on pruning and weeding around a little azalea and cleaning up the leaves in that planting bed. Had to break for a little nap yesterday afternoon ... not acclimated to the heat and humidity yet. Grilled burgers after The Woman got home.

Male mallard was down for a visit last night, haven't seen the female for awhile ... she might be on the nest, wherever that is.

Need to get the blades changed out on the MMM today and get started on cutting the front lawns. Will probably let The Woman get some of the seat time, as she always seems to be itching for it.

Drinking more water and laying off the Coke, and still no foot/leg cramps, although I do get a few cramps in hands/fingers occasionally, which aren't all that bad and seem to pass fairly quickly.

Found out that Zack dropped off some really huge oak logs yesterday on his first trip, dunno what he left on the second, which was around dinner time.

It is sometimes hard getting kids of any age to appreciate consequences before doing something stupid.

You could tell him about the lamb I picked up yesterday. It had suffered a sharp object in it's left eye - a crow's beak - not a pretty sight. Tell him nature is sometimes cruel, but good boys, especially those who have been knighted, should never be.

How about giving him this option today. Grounded, or instead, able to play out providing he keeps coming back to tell you what he wouldn't have been able to see if he was blind? Each time you add it to a list and you read it together at the end of the day.

Good ideas Eric and Drew. Sorry about your lamb. We have birds over here that are notorious for doing that to calves.

Good morning all, time for me to get ready for church.

Did you eat on the stage where they film anyone who attempts win the free steak?
No, but I did eat a 10 oz, not the 72oz.

And temp hit 107° yesterday. I look at the miles of nothing that I drove thru and think, I gotta turn around and go back, after we see the world's largest pot hole.

Who's idea was this? I just wanted to take a 2 hr train ride. Lol.

I remember when I was about 17, my boss took all of us out to eat at a popular steakhouse in Houston. It was called Victoria Station, and there was a main structure in the center, and it had old boxcars connected to it for the actual dining table areas. Quite nice. Anyway, the boss told us to order anything we wanted (it was a tax write off), and I ordered a 32 oz bone in prime rib. I ate the whole thing too. Afterwards, we all went to the motorcycle races in the Astrodome. That was my biggest beef story.

Oh, and there must be thousands of these things growing out here. Including one that caught on fire.0610171159a.jpg

Not quite as cold this morning 34*. Yesterday it got up 76*, with wind 15-20 mph. Going to be about the same today.

Been here full time for seven years and have been snowed on three times in June. Looks like it's going to get colder in the middle of the week with chance of showers.
If it does there is a good chance I'll get snowed on.

Off to town to pick up some lumber to repair soffit and facia on the house

Hope everyone has a good day

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 6:45AM. Mostly cloudy. A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible. High 62F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Made a lot of business trips to Amarillo back in the day. Too many good BBQ shacks there to ever end up at the Big Texan though.

Still have a few more limbs to trim, then lots of clean up. Arms and back sore enough that I may just give it a rest for a day.

Nice trip north to visit with my friend and his family. His wife is almost due; that'll be their fourth. One cute little girl, the rest boys. All healthy, happy, but all Russian speakers, no English so far. Classic garage clean out scenario: "Think you could use this?" (points to box of old parts). Maybe, better take it home and make sure. I'll sort through it today to find the gems, then the rest goes in the bin. We grilled chicken, but it was gusty enough that the propane flame kept blowing out. It was a 4 burner Nexgrill, which was well rated by Consumer Reports, but it sure didn't get very hot and the chicken took forever to cook. As a result they were still working on the garage cleanup when I left at 7:30PM. Almost two hour drive home, just enough light to make most of it before dark.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday...

75 this morning and headed to 90 today. Last day with no rain chances till next Sunday.

Need to get a garden in but don't know when I'll get it done. Been busy or wet.

All hay that is down is raked into windrows. Now up to dad to roll it up before it gets wet. He's still not convinced that the baler needs maintenance and doesn't want to listen so he can fight it.

Good morning, hot and humid today and most of the week. Not sure how much I'll get done in this heat.
