Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low to 50, high today should be 88. No rain forecasted in the near future.... only smoke from the wildfires to the west of us.

This morning, we can hardly see the mountains due to the smokey haze. My son told me this morning that a very nice large log cabin burned down a few miles away from us, which caused a large brush / small forest fire. They must have gotten it under control since we have not heard anything on the local news.

Do not know if the smoke is from that fire or not. Bad news is that it is windy here this morning, expecting to gust around 25-30. Not good for firefighters.

Billy, hope Coco is ok, let us know what is found...

Drew, glad to hear you finally got your bagel fix....keep on plugging away at recovery, you are doing great!

Ron, another great pic... keep em coming! Look forward to see them every morning!

Eric, yes, there is a very large percentage of residential homes that have solar, the state owned buildings (fire, police, maintenance, and other state buildings) all have Solar systems. The main power company in the central part of the state has giant solar farms, along with wind farms, producing 39-40% of the energy produced for customers.

Unfortunately, the companies selling the solar systems for residential use are so high priced, most people cannot afford them. A lot of companies have started 藜*ease programs that essentially cost as much as just paying the electric company.... makes no sense except for being green.

Here is a pic of the smoke in the area.

They ask if my router is WPS supported. It's the facilities, have no idea but I'll try that method first. Never had luck with wireless printing, but need to this time as I'm running out of receptacles on pc.

I would get a router that supports WiFi as wan, (make the facilities WiFi your wan source) then isolate your stuff on your own private network.
Amazon now has a new Gigabit version of gl Ar router

GL.iNet GL-AR750S-Ext Gigabit Travel AC Router (Slate), 300Mbps(2.4G)+433Mbps(5G) Wi-Fi, 128MB RAM, MicroSD Support, OpenWrt/LEDE pre-Installed, Cloudflare DNS, Power Adapter and Cables Included Amazon.com: GL.iNet GL-AR75S-Ext Gigabit Travel AC Router (Slate), 3Mbps(2.4G)+433Mbps(5G) Wi-Fi, 128MB RAM, MicroSD Support, OpenWrt/LEDE pre-Installed, Cloudflare DNS, Power Adapter and Cables Included: Electronics

It's not my router, it's the facilities, headed down there now to see if they will give me password. Otherwise I'll just use the printer cable for what little printing I do.
but thanks, good to know when I'm back in my own place.

Good morning 64 going to 79 - needed rain has started but does not look like it will stop until....Next Thursday !

Worked on the stump some more, found 2 big roots under the top 3 roots. But still have at least 2 roots holding it down, it moves but won;t drag out.

The Doe that lives on the property had some visitors yesterday in the form of another Doe with a fawn just about void of white spots.

Drew - Bagel Time! hope you get that walk in. For the feedback make sure the mic is turned down and the internal (if any) speakers are off.

RNG - that is some setup. I have solar hot water, so during the summer we have lots of hot water, Winter not so much.

Top-I need to get bloodwork too, hope yours comes back clean and healthy.

Ron, Squirrels always play dodge car at the top of the hill in our area, Vultures always check each late morning for breakfast.

Stay Safe and be well

62°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 89° today. Rain was off for the weekend when I checked early this morning, but now it's back on again.

Made the trek to Carlyle after work last night to get chicken feed from Tractor Supply. Tried to swing by the Highland Rural King for some other things after that, but got there about 7:15, which is 15 minutes after they closed. May stop there on the way home tonight.

Traffic around here is starting to return to its pre-panic pandemonium. I sure didn't miss those drivers.

Those berries look delicious, Eric.

I'm not a pill person, Ron. I rarely even use pain meds like aspirin and the like. It's taken some time for me to get into the swing of taking two melatonins and a multivitamin every night before bed. I still don't like it, but it's better than sleeping on the couch. It does seem like the medical profession has an almost unhealthy addiction to prescribing a pill for pretty much everything. I have no desire to walk through life in a chemical haze (did more than enough of that during my partying days), and always look for more natural solutions.

Tire size and length of seat tube to pedal crank center would be a good start. My bike is 29 tires and 15 frame.

The seat tube is around 23" and the tires are 27".
(have clip on pedals and have extra "triathlon" handlebars, new tires and cables and refurbished)

75F and mostly cloudy @ 11:45, high of 80F predicted and chance of rain now 70%.

WB 10 Day Forecast now has 6 out of 10 showing rain.

Need to go run up the windows in the van ... :D

Someone is having tree service work done, can hear the incessant drone of the chipper off in the distance.

... now hear something a little closer ... looks like the neighbor is down here bailing up the hay ...

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day.

I was taught to measure from the center of the crank axle to the top of the seat tube.

That looks like a 24" or 25" frame to me...

I had a Peugeot racing bike back in the late 70's , loved that bike, but it got stolen, at which point I got a Fuji (not like the new mas produced Fuji, this was the late 70's)
I had to repack the bearings on the Fuji and it was literally a race with a mess of ball bearings in it , unlike todays sealed and integrated ones. I remember I had to buy an aftermarket hardened crank for it as I kept snapping them. Was a bit stronger back then.
